Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Ecobank Has Started Calling For Interview by budx(m): 6:44pm On Aug 10, 2007
actually got a job with Ecobank last week. from what i gather they seem to be recruiting big time. hope its fun working with them though.
interview questions were mostly vague and subjective "tell us about yourself","your family " your background" . however you may be asked specific questions based on what you have in your resume. 1st interview was with a panel of 3 women and the 2nd (which was about a 4weeks after) was just one woman. they let you know shortly after if u are taken. good luck to everyone.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Foreigner Wants To Get An Intership At Nigerian Law Firm Or In House Legal Team. by budx(m): 12:39pm On Jul 14, 2007
foreigner? are either of your parents or grandparents nigerian? ur post says u were born in Nigeria so was a lil curious. cuz then u'd BE Nigerian and not a foreigner. in any case there are a good number of law firms you can try out. to wit:
Banwo and ighodalo
olaniwun ajayi and co
aluko and oyebode, the list is actually endless

like hell, just google "top nigerian law firms" and make ur pick. then apply online to the ones that have a website or just go drop your resume wth them when ur in town.
Romance / Re: Male Instict: Or by budx(m): 12:27pm On Jul 11, 2007
well poster, if what u have there is true then id say u attract waaayy too much drama for one person in one lifetime. stop seeking solace in men so much. look for a dear female friend to talk to and relate wth. if and when u do find a man u intend to have a relationship with then do what makes u feel good with yourself and not feel the need to just make someone happy. try to overcome whatever hurt you may have been through by seeking freindship first as opposed to Help or automatic emotional solace or someone to just wish your past away. all the best. stop brooding over the past too and stop complaining about how things have gone wrong for you. stay positive and try to make your life better otherwise youd be perpetually stuck in what u so erroneously refer to as "male instinct". good luck
Politics / Re: Abia Swears In New Governor Two Days Before May 29 by budx(m): 3:23pm On May 28, 2007
Abia case is just sheer ignorance or just a blatant disregard for the rule of law. the latter in any case was institutionlaised by Obasanjo and his sycophant of an Attorney General.
Politics / Re: Is Nigeira Democracy Worth Celebrating? by budx(m): 3:17pm On May 28, 2007
worth celebrating? hmmm NOPE. but for the sole fact that we wont have a military man in power for a change, maybe a little. lets just hope he survives the heat.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nig Army Details Plsssssssssss by budx(m): 10:38am On May 16, 2007
go to any branch of spring bank. ask to buy the nigerian army scratch card. follow instructions on the card or just ask the person who hands it over to you.

Romance / Re: Does Kissing Another Man Mean Cheating On Ur Husband? by budx(m): 11:23am On May 09, 2007
LOL cooljade. i wish a lot more people would be as realistic as u seem to be. i still cant get over the fact that THINKING about sex with someone means ur cheating. Good Lord i wonder how many unfaithful lovers we have out there on that point. however cooljade, i still dont know about actively pursuing a kissing mate to flirt with. LOL . but then again if its the understanding u have with your husband then waaay to go girl cuz many relationships have varying degrees of boundaries.

can i kiss u sometime though? grin grin grin LOL just kidding.
Romance / Re: Does Kissing Another Man Mean Cheating On Ur Husband? by budx(m): 3:52pm On May 08, 2007
at LEVI2ME , i honestly hope u are able to read!!!!!!! i dont see any part of my posts which says its okay to kiss someone else when ur married or dating someone. if anything at all i specifically say its wrong. nonetheless i strongly urge u to go ahead with your paryers. cheers.
Romance / Re: Does Kissing Another Man Mean Cheating On Ur Husband? by budx(m): 3:11pm On May 08, 2007
like i said earlier, its a bad and most definitely a hurtful thing and i do see it as something that calls for a re assesment of the status of the relationship and for the lady to reach into herself and answer a number of questions. e.g what made her go that far with someone else? does she still love her hubby and seriously wants to keep her relationship wth him alive? nonetheless i dont think she has committed ADULTERY with someone else. i believe CHEATING in a married sense is ADULTERY- a voluntary SEXUAL INTRECOURSE between a married person and one who is not his or her spouse.

as for non married , no-sex couples as u pointed out IBDAT , i dont think that makes much of a difference as to the effect on the relationship. its still the same hurtful act. i agree with you that people make rules so as not to escalate or have their relationship torn apart by some silly act of one party. sometimes people find themselves in a situation where they almost loose track of rules they may have set up wth their lovers or allow "horniness" and poor judgement take the better of them for one second ,but quickly realise that they may be making a huge mistake if the go ahead with it and knock themselves back to reality. i sincerely dont see a kiss under such circumstances (or any at all) as equal to CHEATING.

some say sexual thoughts of any kind is the same as cheating. this is equally shocking. if u are watching porn then u are CHEATING with all the folks in the movie? if u fantasize about having sex with someone then u have cheated on ur lover? i wonder how many people have cheated on their lovers with beyonce and halle berry. its all the more interesting that u can cheat on ur lover with someone and the person ur cheating with doesnt even know it. LOL.

sexual attraction to someone else doesnt automatically disappear when u are dating someone. people simply try to take control of it by respecting the fact that they are in a relationship and do not want to undermine the importance of what they have with that person. you CHEAT on someone when u have sexual intercourse with someone else but there are a number of silly and stupid things u can do which may mar your relationship or call for a re-evauation of the relationship e.g kissing someone else.

u are reading me wrong. the question was does kissing mean cheating. and i was answering that specific question which in my opinion means NO. when people say i left my boyfreind cuz he cheated on me they dont mean "cuz he kissed another girl" do they. ofcuz id be upset if my wife told me she kissed another guy for a multitude of reasons prime of which would be that her feelings for me are being questioned by that act and ofcuz the resulting whittling down of trust (cuz who knows who's next ). however i believe cheating really means actually having sex with someone else. some people get very angry to the extent that they feel like killing someone who may have hurt them. does that make them murderers? i guess not.

the act is hurtful and surely raises many issues in the relationship. especially personal issues for the lady who may have kissed another guy. but one thing she didnt do is cheat on her husband.
Romance / Re: Does Kissing Another Man Mean Cheating On Ur Husband? by budx(m): 5:17pm On May 07, 2007
kissing another man simply means u are SERIOUSLY contemplating CHEATING on your husband. PERIOD!
Politics / Re: Some 'Experts' Are Advocating A Two-party System by budx(m): 2:08pm On May 04, 2007
its not 20 , its not 30 . at the last count it was 50 something. it doesnt get more ridiculous than that!!!

are there that many different ways to run a country? are there that many different political ideologies. we will realise that if we can look beyond disgusting selfish interests, greed and corruption, there will be no need for more than 3 parties or so. it just doesnt make sense. no one is asking for a statutory limit on number of parties as that would be unconstitutional. we are simply hoping that reason (instead of greed) will shine its light on those who set up these parties and realise that a formidable opposition isnt borne by getting ur family and freinds on one tiny boat when there are countless tiny boats sailing on the same troubled waters.

think of an army of ants which together weigh more than a piece of biscuit lying on the floor. if each ant wants to pull the biscuit in its own direction the biscuit wld lie there forever unmoved. but if they come together and agree on a direction to carry the biscuit to, in the twnikling of an eye they wld have made more progress than one ant can make in a lifetime.

these people are hiding under freedom of association to nurture their selfish interests and personal vendetta. when they put Nigeria first then automatically, they will unite and fight for the improvement of the nation. until then the albatross known as PDP will continue to rule.
Politics / Re: Stop Complaining by budx(m): 1:42pm On May 04, 2007
talking about supporting the government and moving on is what we have always done and has kept us going round in circles. they say nigerians are the happiest people on earth but what obtains in reality is that we are the lot that wallow in suffering and simply get used to it over time. yes, we simply get numb with time.

if we keep defending insane and blatant election malpractices (as opposed to human error) by saying no election is perfect, we will NEVER move forward!!! one man, or at best a group of power drunk individuals, will continue to hand pick our leaders , shove them down our throats through extensive rigging (ofcuz no election is perferct so they go scot free) and nigeria will be the same mess its always been.

the people need to be enlightened on what democracy REALLY is. thats what we need to focus on. we are yet to be detached from "mr president is king" syndrome that was birthed in us all through the military regimes. lets continue to vigorously point out the errors of our rulers (this is not complaining) sooner than later they will be forced to change . be it through the judiciary or adjustments of relevant laws in the legislature as these are the only institutions that can safeguard our democracy. its not about complaining!!!! democracy ONLY thrives on the voice of opposition with constructive criticism and NOT on "lets just support our leaders" syndrome which will only operate to KILL the nation as nothing will change that way.
Romance / Re: Didn't Call Your Girlfriend For Months And She Didn't Call Back by budx(m): 5:35pm On May 03, 2007
the relationship ended after 3weeks of total silence having successfully proved to eachother that life does go on without the other person. what u guys may have is the emotion aptly captured by Ms Gladys Knight in her hit song "neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye", i mean total silence WITHOUT even an attempt to talk to eachother for a month?!!!!!!!!!!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Re: Nlng Call. by budx(m): 9:28am On May 03, 2007
beauty, i share ur concern. however, its a Nigerian phenomenon that we have to live with. an attempt to allow as much as possible a broad cross-section of nigerians to participate in a quasi-government owned organisation. 'federal character" has its many advantages but sadly, it comes with some disadvantages too. like praying you are one of the smartest people in your village at this particular point in time.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by budx(m): 3:29pm On May 02, 2007
like kuwena pointed out in one of his earlier posts , the calls are similar to the ones made prior to dispatch of letters in the earlier stages trying to confirm one detail or the other that may have been left out by successful applicants. prime of which is local government area if i recall correctly. so if this trend is anything to go by, your letters for interviews are being dispatched as we speak. cool cool cool cool

eeyore i think u may be misinterpreting kuwena. he's merely being objective especially since these calls still seem rather vague especially when the main purpose was to tell the recepients to go and check mails that have been sent to them but ALAS wasnt there (at least soo far) . everyone wishes and prays to be called by LNG but the truth is that some will notbe called. in spite of this i dont think any nairalander would wish bad for those that are called for the3rd stage. all the best to everyone.
