Contractor : 100 cents.

Client : Anonymous.

Our aim is to build a 3 bedroom hostel suitable for singles and students. Project is intended for commercial purposes and rentage. Our client is operating on a limited budget subject to N1.5m. We believe that with the best practices and cost cutting measures, given a constant supply of materials to site, this project should be ready in 6 weeks.

Our client wants to use this project as a test phase for our ability to deliver to him a 15 bedroom hostel that will cover one plot of land measuring 100 × 50 feet.

On the first day we deploy to site to commence excavation. Pictures..
Bros no vex o, 1.5m is to complete the whole 3 room ensuite or just one room?

I started going to site as a carpenter and a site supervisor for my building technologist father.
Naturally, I developed very good understanding of both metric and empirical measurement, estimation of materials, and interpretation of building plans.

I got admitted to the university after four years of extensive site work. working with very experienced artisans like iron benders, masons, carpenters etc. I also learn a great deal from professionals like architects andd building technologies etc.

I did study civil enginering because of my mathematical strength. I graduated with a first class degree from FUT minna and I love building and structures as well

Billyonaire:
Obasanjo is spent. He has no more futuristic value. This is someone who was released from prison with 20 naira in his account but he is today a billionaire through fraudulent acquisitions, yet he wants to control every sitting President.

To even remember that this Obasanjo single-handedly picked a sick Yaradua and soft-spoken Jonathan in 2011, for the sole aim of controlling is appalling. Now, Jonathan has proven that he is a true son of the Niger Delta, we can not be controlled.

Nigerians must congratulate Jonathan, if not today, but certainly tomorrow. Because Jonathan has done in Nigeria, what Jerry rawlings did in Ghana, yet without a single gun shot. In essence, Jonathan has taken away leadership of this country from the militarily backgrounded semi-literate oligarchs whether within or without PDP and deliver it to the people. Now, the Presidency and Executive arm of government are being populated by Professors, PhD, Masters holders and no more the usual culprits that share oil blocs based on nepotism.

Our tomorrow depends on today, Vote for the future, not yesterday.
Where have you been brov,

Welcome back!

@topic, Obj wants to remain relevant at alla cost. It doesn't happen and can't happen.
Jonathan is a full grown man and must not be cowed into doing the dictates of a former president for God's sake.
Obj should be advised to adapt the father figure and learn from the likes of Gowon, Abdulsalami, Bush, etc

Politics is a game of number.

However, I don't know why you chose to tag Tinubu and Atiku "corrupt" even though they have never been so convicted by the court of law. Unlike the people in your cabinet like, Bode George, Alams and others.

So, THEY ARE NOT DEVILS, okay?

Open Letter to Barcanista :- Have a rethink.

It is no news that you have chosen to turn your back against the progressive movement, owing obviously to the controversies surrounding some threads you created before your final exit decision, especially this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/2149476/interim-national-government-one-propaganda, which you created on February 15, and some other reasons best known to you.

In order to pacify you and the aggrieved progressives, I created this thread titled: "Calling The PROGRESSIVES To Order" https://www.nairaland.com/2150858/calling-progressives-order, but this burning fire of anger remains non-extinguishable.
Even if it could be extinguished, the TANoid folks have chosen to keep adding more petrol to this fire, because they have finally been able to get their target, that is you.

Perhaps you do not know; there are many consequences attached to your actions based on your grievances. Our actions, no matter how little it seems, have a way of influencing people around us.

The enigmatic Barcanista, permit me to divide my message into two categories:

THE RELIGION ASPECT:
You are God sent in your own way, you have a responsibility to save Nigeria from the hands of bad leaders. Jesus Christ was sent to the world to save souls, during his quest, he encountered series of challenges, he was also betrayed.
He never, as a result of that stopped his mission, the same applies to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
So why would you let feeling betrayed stop your mission?

THE FUTURE OF NIGERIA
The future of Nigeria and our unborn children is in your hand, my hand, our hands. Check the number of followers you have on this forum.

Do you know you have been an "eye opener" to so many people on this forum based on the educative thread you always create?

Do you know you are a source of inspiration to your followers, even guests on this forum?

Do you know how many people will vote for or against a particular candidate based on your influence?

Do you want Nigeria to remain like this for another 4 years?

If, by mistake, we repeat the error of voting GEJ as we did in 2011, and the following continues for another 4 years:
*More casualties in the North.
*More innocent girls being kidnapped.
*More youths dieing in stampede in a quest to get employed (as witnessed in the Immigration recruitment exercise).
*More corruption and looting continues based on the belief that stealing is not corruption.

Have it at the back of your mind and your conscience that you are one of those who cause it, by encouraging people to vote for an incapable leader.

The movement for CHANGE is not only about you or me, it's about Nigeria; it's about posterity.
If you truly love this country, you would not let personal attacks against you be the reason you turn against the CHANGE that Nigerians have been hoping for, through General Muhammadu Buhari.

It's not about Tinubu, not Atiku and others, it's about the personality of GMB and his record on integrity.

Please, have a rethink, I still remain your follower on Nairaland, and you remain a respectable personality to me.

In conclusion, I will leave you with this quotes:
"If you are patient in one moment of anger, you
will escape a hundred days of sorrow"
*
“Never speak out of anger,
Never act out of fear,
Never choose from impatience,
But wait... and inner happiness will appear.”

-Medamillion-

Politics › Re: Jonathan ‘ll Deploy Soldiers For Elections – Fayose by Bugatie(m): 7:55pm On Feb 18, 2015
spiritfada:
Against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, and the Federal High Court, Sokoto, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has said President Goodluck Jonathan would deploy soldiers for the forthcoming general elections.

Justice R. M Aikawa of the Federal High Court in Sokoto in a judgment deleivered on January 29, 2015 had barred the use of the Armed Forces in the conduct of elections.

The Court of Appeal which heard the appeal arising from the petition filed by the APC against Fayose’s victory in the June 21, 2014 governorship election in its judgment on Monday also barred the use of the Armed Forces in the conduct of future elections in the country.

It said such constituted a violation of both the constitution and the Electoral Act.

But Fayose who on Wednesday maintained that the President would continue to deploy soldiers for elections accused the All Progressives Congress of planing to unleash terror on Nigerians after losing the March 28 presidential election.

The governor, who advised the APC to take its audio clip purporting the use of the military to rig the Ekiti State governorship election to court said, “Nigeria cannot be governed by blackmail and propaganda, but rule of law.”

Fayose, according to a statement issued on Wednesday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said the APC is trying to prevent the involvement of the military in the elections so as to be able to perpetrate violence during the elections.

Fayose said, “It is the constitutional right of President Goodluck Jonathan to deploy soldiers to provide security anywhere in Nigeria and not even the APC allies in the judiciary can take away this right.”

According to him, the military was being blackmailed by the APC because the party has not been able to compromise the institution.

He added, “When APC people begin to blackmail an institution, it simply means that such institution has refused to be corrupted by the party.

“All the noise being made by the APC and its lousy leaders on their purported audio/video clip is aimed at blackmailing the military into abandoning its responsibility of providing security during the election so that they can carry out their evil plot of unleashing violence on Nigerians unhindered.

“They invaded Ekiti with thugs during the June 21, 2014 governorship election but the presence of soldiers prevented the thugs from operating in the state.

“When soldiers were deployed in Edo State and the election was won by the party, Governor Adams Oshiomhole led APC leaders on a thank you visit to President Jonathan in Abuja.

“The same soldiers that provided security in Edo State and APC won, provided security in Ondo and Ekiti State. APC lost in the two States and Nigerians have not been allowed to rest.

“Should election be seen as free and fair only when APC wins. Should the military be hailed for providing adequate security during elections only when APC wins?

“Let me say it categorically that here in Ekiti, APC’s plan to cause mayhem before, during and after the elections will be resisted.

“Also, let the APC be told pointedly that President Jonathan will deploy soldiers to provide security for Nigerians before, during and after the general elections and the APC blackmailers should drop their evil plan of visiting terror on Nigerians after losing the presidential election.”

The Catholic doctrine which ash Wednesday represents reminds man of vainness of life, teaching us all to lead a worthy life in view of the hereafter.

A life of humility, piety, love, alms giving/sacrifice, help for the poor, self denial are some of the virtues preached by the church during lenten season and even beyond.

You call it idolatry but am sure your church(if you're a christian anyway) also celebrate Easter same day with Catholics even when they don't know how the day is arrived at.

Muslim voters have mocked Jonathan's religious worship in several churches as being a ploy to secure Christian voters.

A picture of Jonathan kneeling down receiving prayers from a popular envagelist created a buzz feed among northern Muslims whom tried to out do each other in captioning the pic. Even a major APC chieftain and current aspirant of kaduna governorship was not left out as he retwitted and posted the pic with offensive mocking text.

Muslims in Nigeria are very sure that Christians will never attack them on any caricature on their religion but will that be the case if it where Christians doing the mocking? The answer I a resounding NO! As we know that they (Muslim) will go on rampage protesting whatever offensive post.

But that is not why I made this thread.

This thread is to present how the Islamic faith as practiced by Muslims can never be exclusive from the state.

Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe are fighting to ensure that their legal code and way of life becomes supreme over any other existing values.

Muslims have gone on rampage burning flags of nations over whatever political row that exists within the Muslim world.

Here is just a few pics of Muslims demonstrating and burning national flags of countries that they feel offend Islam.
Please we need less of thread like this.
Respect Muslims and their faith and leave them to their conscience.

negrito:
A friend of mine whom we both Schooled together in Canada came around recently. He hasn't been to Nigeria for like 8years but decided to come back due to family pressure and reasons best known to him. He was so freaked about Nigerian girls and he said he would love to date one of them and even marry one of them. I laughed cos I knew he was going on a wild goose chase and I was about to let that happen. I asked him what type of woman he was looking for and he mentioned the qualities. I laughed even louder than before cos I know no Nigerian girl possess such qualities. The worse thing that could ever happen to anyone is dating or marrying a Nigerian girl. I told him they're ex and potential prostitutes, hungry, cheap, dirty, mannerless, shameless and future home breakers. A Nigerian girl is only interested in your pocket and not your heart. They ask you for stuffs they can't ask their parents. A relationship in Nigeria is a job and a financial bail-out from poverty. I told him to try and talk to like 10 random girls to see if any of them is different. I told him to try and act broke to see if any will even given him a listening ear. When he did none and I mean absolutely none even answered him. They were like he can't take of them. One of them even went as far saying that his mates are driving cars while he's here chasing girls with no money in his pocket and speaking with a fake accent (he probably couldn't hide his Canadian accent). After the insults and scorn he received from these girls,he now believes me that nothing good can come out of a Nigerian girl. I told him to date a Canadian instead. I told him if he's looking for true love he should seek it outside the shores of Nigeria. True love cannot be found in Nigeria. These girls want to reap from where they didn't sow.
Bros we have as much bad girls as much as we have bad guys too.
You and your friend has not been lucky and obviously been looking at the wrong places!
You don't set out on a trip to go and find or get a good girl, otherwise you'll appear desperate.
I also have problem with your logic of generalising girls, cos when you do, that includes your sisters and also born/unborn daughters

@ barcanista, from what I can see, you fell out with your fellow NL APC compatriots and not because of anything Buhari or Tinubu or whoever did. Which makes me wonder, if you REALLY loved Buhari, why would some mere disagreements sway you so easily. Like seriously! You were APC to the core just last week! So definitely this isn't about love or convictions or desire for justice/change in Nigeria or any other thing like that.

Just for the records. I have always known you were a paid APC member on NL. It's either you were paid or you were aspiring to be on their payroll. Same with people like Gbawe, berem, and some other monikers like that. There's something about paid online characters that is so obvious if you've got any brains.

1. They are just tooooo persuasive/forceful/detailed in their write-ups.
2. They are on every damn thread trying to prove themselves.
3. They are praise singers. They just cannot see or say anything bad about their paymasters. (the PDP are worse though)
4. Experts at digging up old threads, links, etc to score points.

So now barcanista, you mean we are now going to see you jump from writing, well, organized speeches for APC to PDP just because PDP have offered you more money? Lol! berem and Gbawe and co. How much is your own price? Lol! grin grin grin

Honestly, APC folks should just leave barcanista to his conscience. Don't threaten or insult his lineage because of this. It's not worth it and will end up further portraying APC as an aggressive party which is all part of the plan here.

I'm out, before someone sends me a mail (cos I can see this business is getting dirtier and more desperate here) Biko I no wan do online job. Whether for PDP or APC. Thank you.
My dear, you can't separate the real life APC and the online janjaweedians that we have here. They are both hateful and bitter people whose only aim is to grab federal power by any means possible.

He was insulted, bullied and called all sorts of names for airing his opinion.
