Also practice active listening. This is listening to things that you love like American movies and music and then try to pay close attention to how words are pronounced. You can replay a sentence over and over until you get what they are saying and you understand what they mean. Try this with the various accents too. It really helps. Listen actively and not passively.

Listening tips.

Form the habit of listening attentively.
The 1st Audio is usually easy and the answers are usually straight forward but from the 2nd audio sometimes they might talk about something else before they talk about the real answer so you have to be attentive to ensure you don't miss out on the real answer.

For those answers that usually require option A to F l, instead of looking for the answers while listening just write what they said about it down at that moment. After you are done in the real exam you have 10 minutes to copy down your answers and you can use this to select your answers.

Another tip is to look at the transcripts of the audio file so you can see exactly what parts the answers are from and in subsequent tests improve on it.

As for listening, I think whatever challenge u possibly have could be tackled individually. First, have u been listening back for the replays to know this ones u missed and why u missed them? This I believe is the key way to forging ahead. If yes, did u understood & agree with the answers? If u have been able to solve this in first few attempts, then next is to improve ur "concentration level". By this I mean don't try to listen for just the answers but try follow up with the conversations and understand. This might take u several attempts but i assure u stand to gain a lot in terms of confidence. In fact , even when u have missed the answers to some, ur clear understanding of the topic discussed will easily make u spot the answers afterwards. I happened to just listen for answers back then and got stuck at 7/7.5 most times. It took a serious fight btw me & wifey b4 I developed the habit of understanding the discussions of the CD. & I bet u with some more practice I gain huge confidence. Even map and drawings became easy also. So please try doing that and let's see....All d best!

I think he should use ICES, i cant see the money you are trying to save he will pay 200 CAD per evaluation. if you go with WES, u will pay 200CAD and pay almost 25k for WAEC confirmation of result, and still pay for verification. So what are you saving exactly.

I wanted to use wes for evaluation but I was at NECO office yesterday, they said it's 29.5k. Now I want to use ICES

1. I have M.SC and Bsc, if I evaluate both will it earn me more pts or just evaluate only Msc?
2. Do I need to apply separately for both degrees if I have to evaluate both?

Pls house I need advice on this! My B.Sc and M.Sc transcript have year of birth that is different from the one on my Int'l passport. The mistake is frm passport which I can't correct considering the process, though it's 2yrs diff. Now I want to apply to wes, I'm thinking of using the one on intl passport but transcript will show diff yr. I hope this won't affect this my EE process, pls house look into this matter.

At 33 years of age, with an MSc and that good IELTS result, you should be well above 440. Please recalculate again with the CRS tool and be more meticulous this time.

Hello house! Pls I'm about to start the EE process. I have Msc and Bsc, age is 33, wife is 30 and has Bsc. I tried calculating my possible points using ielts score of 8, 7, 7, 7 what I got is 376. I don't know if there is something I didn't do right. Work experience is 7 yrs. Do I need to have either someone in canada, work experience in canada or school in canada to hv upto 400+.

Gurus is the house please I need ur advice or suggestions.

Pls house I have written to many potential supervisors it's either their lab is filled or no response at all. My questions are:
1.can I apply for MSc program in Engineering without the permission of a supervisor?
2. Has anybody done this and still got admission
If yes! My cgpa is just 3.91 don't know if it can earn me schools like Regina, Ottawa, Alberta and sask. I think I can afford App fee for about 4 schs but it will be too bad to waste all that money if they turn negative.

Let me try to respomd from personal experience...

1) NO. It aint difficult. It only depends on how far are ready to go to get admitted and how patient you are too.

2) You never know until you try. You will have four years to find out. In the long run, you might even employ people after the phd... depends on you still.

3) Yes. All you have to do is ask and search for schools that offers funding...

4) Explain it in your SOP as you did here.

5) a. It depends on the school...
b. We really have no idea... applicatioms are treated wholly and based on applicants documents.


In a nutshell, you have a role to play in all. Everything is possible to them that believes...

3. Can I get funding with my UG cgpa of 3.98
4. Will VO see Production Engineering as different from Mechanical though they are almost the same. Prod Eng is area of specialisation in Mech eng.

you can submit ur result instead of transcript and it will be accepted. Secondly for future reference go and get an affidavit in court stating your real age and that your school made a mistake with the one on your transcript.

Why are people submitting their transcript to VO? I thought transcript was only meant to be submitted to the school u are applying to for them to give u admission? Ur degree certificate is enough
No need submitting things that are not required for study permit and implicating urself in the process

I still suggest you get a Sworn affidavit of declaration of age from the court, Include it because correcting age is no easy process.... Besides it would be useful later even if you don't include it in your Visapp!

Thanks so much bro! My fear is if they see variations in the age that might be easy way to refusal. It's only my passport that has this age, ssce is NECO so no age written on it. If only embassy will accept degree certificate without asking transcript or having access to it, I think I will be good

The date of birth I have in my Int passport is different from what I hv in my transcript. And I have tried correcting it but the process, it's almost impossible. Can I summit only my degree certificate to embassy without transcript? Secondly will VOs ask the school for my data to check if what I summited to school and embassy are the same. Please I need advice please please.

After incorporation it's necessary for one to apply for: Tax clearance Cert, VAT and TIN (tax identification number ).
If the company has not started operation the TCC is written on N/A in the area of amount paid for tax, annual income....etc. I wanted to use my partner as sponsor but the cmpny not running yet.

though the Msc is to
Prepare me towards manufacturing which the company will eventually be into when operation starts fully. My partner did Mech Engr 1st degree, subsea engr Msc UK, wit 7 digit monthly pay, he's in the oil & gas sector can't quit his job now so i will be the one to manage the cmpny later. Mine is Production Engineering Bsc, propose Msc in Mech Engr ( research in Design & manufacturing).
My questions are: 1. is the relationship btw I and sponsor ok considering the cmpny is still very new?

2. Will they think courses are not related because they don't bear the same name? Though I hv work experience in oil & gas for 3yrs and in manufacturing to present is 2yrs. Pls gurus in the house i need advice. Thanks
