The best place i know and can testify for the best quality panel beating and respray is at Autobrite Automotive Solutions. They are based in Katampe in Abuja by the Aso Radio station entrance, behind the tipper garage there.

My driver somersaulted with my beloved BMW X5 along Abuja-Keffi expressway and it was damaged beyond recognition (I will post the pictures later). Luckily the driver survived.

I was given a quote by Costcharis to repair the car for N4.5 million and i felt that that was outrageous. I was recommended to Autobrite who not only arranged the recovery of the vehicle on a tilt and slide flat bed tow truck but also kept it in storage till i was ready for the repairs. Their total bill for me came to N2.2 million as lots of panels had to be changed including the entire roof.

When the panel beating and respray to the original black colour was done, it was so beautiful that i could not believe that it was the same car.
They have fully trained staff who obviously deliver the best and use a fully automatic oven-bake respray booth.

Try these guys. They are experts in Mercedes vehicles and a lot cheaper than Mercedes Abuja etc and have more experience. They fixed my 2009 GL 450 which defied all attempts by several so called Mercedes service centres. The main guy there is UK trained and has a workshop there since 1999. He is also a Mercedes trained technician with over 20 years experience. They will surely fix your car.

A good friend of mine has been having nightmares with his Range Rover Sport air suspension system and has spent so much money without much results. The problem is that his air suspension system occasionally will fail and lower the car to the bump stops and the ride becomes like galloping on a horse. He has taken it to the so called wizards of Range Rovers here in abuja and all they did was make him pay high registration fees and silly charges only for the problem to rear its ugly head as soon as he leaves their workshops. Frustrated, he parked the car indefinitely until after almost 5 months of his beloved cruiser sitting in his garage, he told me about his plight. I recommended him to my engineer here in abuja that services all my cars and he amazingly came up with a permanent solution for this problem. This guy has a tested and proven solution for all faulty air suspension systems that gets you back on the road permanently without all the anxiety of your suspension failing while on the move as well as retaining the air ride comfort of your car. The cost was minimal compared to what my friend had spent in other workshops. When i drove the car with him , there was no difference in the ride and performance and the suspension has been up ever since.
I know someone out there may be having serious issues like this thats why im posting this thread.

As the leader of the counter-coup, Murtala Muhammed commanded almost mythical loyalty from northern soldiers. He was from an influential northern family with close links to the NPC, and his uncle Inuwa Wada, was the former Defence Minister. Even when Gowon became the Head of State, he remained the power behind the throne. If anyone was going to rebel against a perceived anti-northern regime - it was Murtala. He would not tolerate disobedience from his subordinates, despite himself having "very little respect for constituted authority" (see Oluleye: "Military Leadership In Nigeria".

The northern officers were joined by a number of federal secretaries, two Judges, prominent northern civil servants and by British and American diplomats who asked the northern soldiers to drop their plan to secede from the federation. As negotiations continued in Ikeja, the explosive Lt-Col Murtala Muhammed was the most vociferous and uncompromising advocate of northern secession. The civilian participants managed to persuade the northern soldiers to drop their secessionist plan, and their most senior member; Lt-Col Gowon was appointed Head of State.


The coup in Lagos was initiated by Lts Nathan and Nasarawa who managed affairs until their superiors; Lt-Col Murtala Muhammed, Major Martin Adamu, Shittu Alao, and Baba Usman arrived.

At the Ikeja airport in Lagos, northern troops commanded by Murtala Mohammed took over the airport and hijacked a British plane which they intended to use to ferry their families back to northern Nigeria after the northern region’s secession. Captain Okoye who was passing through Ikeja airport, was captured, tied to an iron cross, beaten and left to die an agonising death in the guardroom. A detachment of troops sent to try to recapture the airport was ambushed and routed by northern soldiers. In an irony of fate, ten years later, the international airport at Ikeja was renamed after the man who had captured it by force.

Some Igbo soldiers were able to escape from Lagos due to the clemency of Captain Mumadu of the 1st Brigade signals troops who allowed them to flee. [/b]

The Justice Niki Tobi panel constituted in September 2001 by former Governor Joshua Dariye on the Jos crisis had recommended the retirement MD Abubakar from the Police force. He ws also with Biu in d airport bomb cover up during Abacha era. D blast that killed Dr Omoshola.

In a White Paper released in Jos, the panel suggested that AIG Abubakar should be dismissed if he refuses to retire.

The panel said: "Religious fanatics should not be posted to head state police commands. The commission recommends that for his ignoble role during the September 2001 crisis which resulted in the loss of lives, the former Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, Alhaji M.D. Abubakar, be advised to retire from the Nigeria Police Force and in the event of his refusal to do so, he should be dismissed from the service."

Abubakar from Zamfara State who was indicted twice between 2004 and 2006 by a Jos crises Panel, is alleged to have sponsored some Islamist Militant Group when he was Commissioner of Police in Bauchi and Plateau States.
