Both are South African companies anyway. South Africa has 51% controlling share of Stanbic IBTC bank

It depends on what the person want and career path chosen.

Stanbic is not like the typical Nigerian bank. They promote every year if you do well and pay annual end of year bonuses.

Career path should be the main thing here. what does he prefer?
PoliticsThe Emir Of Kano Has A Good Case Against Air Peace But by Built2last(op): 12:42pm On Feb 26, 2022
The Emir of Kano has a good case against Air Peace but his palace official me$$ed up everything with his misplaced entitlement mentality.

His complaint was a rightous one but the remedy he sought from Air-Peace was undeniably wrong.

If Air Peace delayed their Banjul (Gambia) to Lagos flight by over an hour which made them arrive behind schedule for the Lagos-Kano flight, as alleged in the petition to the NCAA which Air Peace statement did not refute, then the Emir and his people were justified in expressing anger. And Air-Peace ought to be held accountable because the Emir and his entourage DID NOT deliberately arrive late for their 6:15am Lagos-Kano flight. The Air-line caused their lateness by delaying their Banjul-Lagos flight for whatever reason.

I hold the view that it is high time Airlines (I mean, all of them) were held responsible for cases of delayed flight or cancellation except in unavoidable cases such as bad whether or other safety reasons.

The problem in this case is, what the Emir reportedly asked Air-Peace to do as a remedy for delaying their Banjul-Lagos flight was to delay a Lagos-Kano first flight (which was already about taking off) for almost an hour to enable them join.

If Air-Peace had given in to that demand, it would have been akin to punishing innocent Kano-bound passengers just to assuage the good Emir and his entourage. I'm constrained to agree with Air-Peace that doing that would have exposed the revered traditional ruler to ridicule because the passengers would have surely revolted on seeing that a mere mortal was the reason they were kept waiting for an extra hour with its attendant losses in terms of missed appointments, meetings etc.

Solution to delayed flight cannot be to delay another flight. How can you keep people going about their businesses in an early morning first flight for a whole one hour just because you are waiting for one human being??

The claim that Air-Peace disrespected the Emir and by extension, the people of Kano is devoid of merit, in my opinion. That's unnecessary incitement and dog-whistling. And to think this claim was made even after the Airline had offered to put them in the 7am Lagos-Abuja flight from where they would be taken to Kano AT NO EXTRA COST makes it even more disappointingly appalling.

Had the Emir's complaint focused only on calling on the NCAA to make Air-Peace account for delaying their Banjul-Lagos flight for over one hour, it would have served the public more.

Foreign AffairsRussia/ukraine Crisis: Is The West Hypocritical? by Built2last(op): 11:37am On Feb 25, 2022
International affairs commentators and enthusiasts, lets discuss this.

This is purely a battle of Super powers. Ukraine is just the battle ground

We cry and berate Russia for invading a sovereign nation.

America invaded Libya, invaded Iraq and invaded Afghanistan for the sake of one man. These are sovereign nations right. and no super power intervened. The only reason America could not overturn the Syrian government was because Russia intervened.

If the West has set this precedence, why won't Russia another super power invade a neighbouring country that plans to join NATO and have access to military base 2 hours away from Russia.

Don't forget that when Russia wanted to join NATO in the early 90s, it was blocked. Only for NATO to accept America as a member.

I like to hear your honest and unbiased views on this.

Buy food for a man when he is hungry, even if it's once, he will write it down, laminate it and pass on the story of "your great deeds" to his grandchildren.
Buy a car for a woman today, forget her birthday next month and you will be shocked if she tells the whole world how bad you are.

How can you forget her birthday bros, what are you thinking, you are very very bad my brother, don't even argue.

This does not make the woman bad, that's how she was wired. She is emotionally prepared for such "games".

Her case is a matter of "continuous assessment".....The mark you scored last month for buying a car is for last month, if you want to have this month's score, why did you forget her birthday, forgetting birthday this month cancels the car you bought last months. Simple and short.

When you understand the parable I just stated above, you will live happily ever after.

Covenant university in just 15 years is currently one of the best Universities in Nigeria, the best private university in Nigeria, 2nd best private university in AFRICA and by the projection of their goals, make it to to global top 10 before 2030.
They currently have about the best facility you can find in any Nigerian university. One Man's vision. People will say it's money from tithe. We can see what the money is doing. Many have graduated from the school and gone ahead to achieve life goals. The have over hundred thousand staff on salary that could have ended as criminals or jobseekers.

Our government takes tax from every person working in Nigeria. We all pay tithe to Nigerian government. They get crude oil from the ground but can't fix power.

Covenant university Engineers are instrumental to generating power that have ensured that a community of over 16,000 people have never experienced power and water outage in over a decade,in a "city" her facilities are used by HUNDREDS OF THOUSAND humans every week... Yeah, they are not on national grid.

This over 6,000 school capacity stadium was recently delivered in line with the trail blazing ideals of the school.

The truth is, reverend father Anelu's outburst has very little or nothing to do with Igbo songs. Even from the amateur video alone, it was clear the good Priest spoke from a place of deep-seated long held animus he's been harbouring towards the Igbos.

As a former Catechism teacher and alter boy in the Catholic church, I know for a fact that a Parish Priest or even an officiating Priest can effortlessly get the choir to make whatever changes he wants in their choice of songs even without the congregation knowing about it. If he didn't like a particular song, he could simply pass his instruction through the catechist or the head of the choir and it will be implemented without any noise. A Priest has almost unlimited latitude in a church service he is conducting and knowing the very high level of discipline and organizational structure in the Catholic church, it is almost impossible to believe that the choir would have disobeyed the Priest had he used the proper channel to ask them to add more songs from other tribes. No. Very unlikely.

But clearly, the reverend gentleman appeared to have unfinished business with the Igbos.

I mean, if it was about just Igbo songs, why did he go as far as claiming he was almost stopped from celebrating mass in English in one Igbo town (Awo Omama) and that if he were to try celebrating mass in Yoruba language in Igbo town like Ekwuluobia, that the Igbo people there would stone him? And then we went on about how the church should not be a place where some people would seek to dominate others and how Igbos dominated the Benin diocese with an Igbo bishop.

These are not the kind of thing you say if your only problem is with the songs. No. Something else is biting you about the people in whose language the songs were being sang.

An unbiased mind would interpret the coded message the good Father was passing to non-Igbos in the church thus;

"look, these Igbo people want to dominate you by singing their Igbo song in your place even when they would not allow other people do the same in their own place, do not allow them"

This is a clear case of incitement targeted at a particular ethnic group from the most unlikely place, the holy alter of the Catholic church.
Thank God for the timely intervention of the Catholic archbishop of Lagos, His Grace, Alfred Martins.

As much as we try to pretend about it, fact remains, IGBOPHOBIA is real. Living in denial won't cut it.

And for those who think Ndigbo are over-reacting, I will advice them to wait till they go through series of pogroms, nearly forced into extinction in a genocide, striped of all they had and made to watch in abject penury while other people were buying national assets in the name of indigenization and perpetually condemned to numberless police checkpoints as the only Federal Presence in their region, when they go through all of the above, then we can revisit the conversation about how best to react in a situation like the one under review.
PoliticsIs Igbophobia Real in Nigeria- Open Letter To Igbos. by Built2last(op): 1:36am On Feb 10, 2022
WE ARE NOT TRYING TO DOMINATE YOU...WE ARE LIVING THE BEST WAY WE ARE WIRED.

How do a people who has never picked arm to fight their host community home and abroad or people living in their own enclave always accused of dominating or colonising? How?

We are not dominating you, we only traveled to your village, fill a need you probably did not see, render services you could not, sometimes start by sleeping in overpriced shops in the same village, few years down the line, buy small land, build one small hut, tried to just run our business and feed our kids while struggling with the evil policies of those who have hijacked governance since we were brushed aside decades ago....tell me, HOW ARE WE TRYING TO DOMINATE YOU?

Igbo boy finished his youth service in one village in zamfara as a young medical doctor, decides to stay back in that VILLAGE to help because there is need for medical services which everyone is running away from....he noticed that if he stay, while solving these needs, we can also make some money.....few years down the line, after years of suffering while trying to grow...it is either he is dominating or he did blood money.....
TELL ME, HOW ARE WE DOMINATING YOU?

Igbos has the greatest number of graduates that could not find their way into government pay job but instead of complaining about others DOMINATING, we can join spare parts business to survive....even after doing that, few years down the line, it is either it is blood money or we are trying to DOMINATE. HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU DOMINATE A PEOPLE WITHOUT FIGHTING THEM, NEITHER DO YOU CONTROL GOVERNMENT THAT IS DEALING WITH EVERYONE.....HOW?

If we demand for better treatment so we can be proper Nigerians as you claim you want us, we are trying to DOMINATE.....if we say, ok, allow us to leave this union and go and suffer like you have predicated we will, you will say we are making troubles. HOW ARE WE REALLY TRYING TO DOMINATE YOU?

The lies of trying to DOMINATE fueled the bile why we were almost wiped out in 1966-1970...yet, after that near extinction, we are still accused of trying to DOMINATE....HOW?

Quota system and several other policies we believe was meant to stop us from DOMINATING have K.illed the fabrics of this nation...our kids are meant to score way beyond other kids in order to gain admission among their equals....even in the face of those injustice, WE ARE STILL TRYING TO DOMINATE...HOW?

You build market stalls, over price them because Igbos will pay, yet, when you are done enjoying the money used in buying or renting the stalls, you turn and accuse us of DOMINATING....how?

Tell me how we are DOMINATING or colonising you, you sold a land to us, we bought, build small house or shop....you use the money for survival, send your children to school or abroad...yet, few years down the line, we are either accuse of DOMINATING or buying up your place? How exactly can a people who are not known for fighting tribal wars DOMINATE YOU?

What instrument of force are Igbos using in this utopian DOMINATION?

To ki.ll a dog, give it a bad name.....to go after Igbos, first accuse them of DOMINATING.

The truth is that lots of people don't know why they loath Igbos, they try to find or create the reason...

Few years ago while Aisha Yesufu was trying to diagnose negative energy she obviously noticed against Igbos, she made a claim that IGBOS NOT INCLUDING OTHERS IN THEIR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IS WHY OTHERS DON'T LIKE THEM....how?

Apprenticeship program that was jeered at by others just few decades ago until now the world is noticing that it is a great tool for wealth redistribution and empowerment....and does not mean taking ourselves into slavery like many Nigerians accused us before.

Please, explain this to me like a nursery School child, HOW EXACTLY ARE IGBOS DOMINATING ANYONE?

I used to hear that music does not suffer language barrier....no, not in Nigeria. A Catholic preist in Lagos of all states has taken the Igbo paranoia of DOMINATING into the church of God.

Now tell me, instead of banning Igbo song why not encourage the learning of other songs in other languages? The priest ofcourse used the language that precedes every Igbo loathing enterprise..."THEY WANT TO DOMINATE".....

How does a people that comes into any space, respects the authority there, never causes any violence because violence is a minus to our businesses....how on Earth are this set of people trying to DOMINATE anyone?

We get to church of any denomination or ministry, try to make ourselves visible, work, offer our time, offer our money....in the midst of this, all some people see is attempt to DOMINATE....how?

This country should make up their minds about Igbos.....they seem to be saying, we don't really want you out of our way but we want to control the h.ell out of your destiny....place a limit to your aspiration, dictate how much you can grow?

...but I have a good news for you my people, it won't work....we will sprout from every Conner of the earth....we won't let a coming generation of Igbos to grow on bended knees, we will not cower, we will not bow.

Block us in governance, we will sprout in commerce, even if you eventually block commerce, our chi will open up several other avenues.

EVEN in the midst of our internally generated challenges and our faults which every human race and individuals posseses, we are the least of those attempting to hurt you, we only do what is done in every modern society... compete, seek growth, try to improve on our circumstances, do whatever we found doing with all our hearts, chase success, want to render services in your neighborhood and get paid for it.

HOW IS THIS A PROBLEM? HOW IS THIS DOMINATING?

It is more honourable to kill a dog if you so desire....but giving a dog bad name just to attempt ki.lling the dog is lowest of all lows.

HOW DOES A PEOPLE DOMINATE OTHERS WITHOUT WEAPONS OR GOVERNING POWER?

NB: For the Igbos that does not wish to offend friends, not speaking up on this danger of having next generation of Igbos grow to walk on egg shells and self guilt and condemnation.... ochestrated by others who want to dictate how they will breath and be defined....don't worry, we will do this work for your children and grandchildren and it will be on record that you were sleeping when the reputation of future Igbos were getting redefined.

To friends who think we are sensitive rather that speaking to those who make us their punching bag always....we won't be gentle while sediments of profiling is heaped on even the generation unborn, it seem harmless now but we know that these constant profiling is a time bomb waiting to happen, it is a piling up of seemingly harmless profiling which will sediment decades from now and form the Igbo perception.

It will be utter irresponsibility that while we have several platforms now to counter both official and unofficial profiling, unlike our fathers, we sacrifice it on the alter of pleasing you, our friends.

Remember, Igbos loving money stuck on Igbos but we know those that has the highest number of billionaire army generals in the world and those their political leaders are more billionairs than anyone without them having a product or services in the market place.....this is while growing massive poverty.....yet, they are modest when it comes to Money and Igbos mainly struggling from one Conner of the earth to another are the money lovers.......that is the power of unchallenged lies and profiling.

Buhari, a Northerner is just about to finish an 8 year run but they are bent on contesting and you have Southerners with demented brain campaigning for them. This Ship should just sink. Why are these Northerners still permutating and getting ready to actively contest.

It's an insult to suggest we don't have capable brains in the South to take over from Buhari.
