IPOB was not the first to campaign on banning of fulani cow meet in Nigeria. Fulani attacks: Stop eating cow meat – Pastor Ikeorha charges ChristiansPublished on January 8, 2017By Seun Opejobi A Pastor and President of Laybible Translation Group, Dele Ikeorha, has called on Christians to boycott the eating of beef indefinitely to protest against the killings of Christians by Fulani herdsmen across the country. This was contained in an article entitled, ‘Call to National Indefinite Cow Meat Boycott.’ Ikeorha explained that the boycott was necessary due to the “unmitigated attacks on innocent Christians and Nigerians across the country.” Ikeorha described the killings perpetrated by the herdsmen as a move to Islamize Nigeria. In the article, the clergyman said it was time for Christians to resist the “subtlety of the Islamisation agenda of Nigeria” as it required “forceful and strategic resistance to avert a greater calamity.” The article reads, “Christianity in Nigeria today is under siege, not only from Islamic fundamentalists, and bloody genocidal actions of Boko Haram, but also from evil moves such as the Cattle Grazing Reserve Bill, and from the marauding activities of Fulani terrorists masquerading as cattle breeders. “In view of the direct link between the Fulani herdsmen and the blood-letting that has resulted in untold human massacres across Nigeria, and the genocidal slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent Christians and Nigerians, the Lay Bible Translation Group hereby calls on all Christians in Nigeria to boycott cow meat indefinitely, as a sign of outrage over the ongoing atrocities committed against Christians and Christian communities throughout Nigeria by Fulani Herdsmen. “The Cow Meat Boycott involves total abstinence from buying and eating cow meat, directly impacting on the economic lifeline of the Fulani herdsmen and their sponsors. Should the attacks persist, the boycott should be advanced to the boycott of all goods produced by companies such as Dangote Group whose majority shareholders are Muslims, to send a message. “In this time of prayer and fasting, we call on all Christians and churches to pray for the mercy of God on this country, and ask for forgiveness because as a people we have sinned. Daniel 9:3-19. “We call on the Christians Association of Nigeria CAN, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and all Christian groups and Christians throughout Nigeria to heed this call and support the call.” It will be noted that herdsmen have been accused of killing Christians with the Southern Kaduna currently taking the center stage. Recall that the Catholic Archdiocese of Kafanchan had recently stated that no fewer than 800 persons lost their lives in the recent crisis that broke out in Southern Kaduna. https://dailypost.ng/2017/01/08/fulani-attacks-stop-eating-cow-meat-pastor-ikeorha-charges-christians/ |
Piggyyeaster0:Are you making your choice base on region or the credible candidate that you think will move Nigeria forward? Between Northern Nigeria where the current president is from and Eastern Nigeria who among the region killed more of Nigeria Securities? |
This is a hypothetical question, I still don't know if any of them stand a chance of winning 2023 presidential election, but who has more democratic credentials and expertise among these two? Who will you vote for if they later become your options? Who among them are you thinking the youths and Nigerians will support.

Story by Reuters Updated 0210 GMT (1010 HKT) December 24, 202 Bangkok, Thailand Thai authorities have seized crystal methamphetamine with a street value of almost $30 million stuffed inside boxing punch bags bound for Australia, officials said on Thursday. Customs officers inspected the shipment after growing suspicious of the Thai-made training equipment which is not in high demand in Australia, Thai and Australian officials investigating the matter told a news conference in Bangkok. More than 193 kilograms (425 pounds) of the drugs, also known as ice, were hidden among 15 different bags. Surrounded by cameras, a Thai customs official sliced through a long cardboard box and then the red outer layer of the boxing punch bag, exposing the drugs hidden amongst the stuffing. "Australia consumes around 11 tons of methamphetamine per year," Australian Border Force Acting Superintendent Joel Carruthers said. "So there's a market for it, and disrupting it offshore in countries such as Thailand is fantastic." The Golden Triangle -- an area of northeast Myanmar that meets parts of Thailand and Laos -- has a long history of being a major drug-producing area. It has served as a massive production center for amphetamine-type stimulants, especially methamphetamine, used by Asian crime syndicates with distribution networks reaching as far as Japan and New Zealand. Methamphetamine production in particular has been increasing sharply in recent years, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). During the coronavirus pandemic, Asia's drug cartels flooded markets with synthetic narcotics worth tens of billions of dollars even as the global economy ground to a halt. Meth seizures in East and Southeast Asia surged 19% from 2019 to 2020, marking a new record high, according to the UNODC. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/12/23/asia/thailand-crystal-meth-punching-bags-intl-hnk-scli/index.html

chatinent:That's your problem as if what he is said is not true. your type is the reason we are still in a mess. |
Tinubu is Osinbajo Godfather. Osinbajo is part and Parcel of this mess today ( Buhari/Osinbajo) just like OBJ/ATIKU. pls you guys should stop marketing incompetent just because of tribe David Umahi is a tasted politician and are far better than the two. |
princeade86:But why do you think Osinbajo will be better than him, is Osinbajo not a Tinubu boy and also part and parcel of this ( Buhari/Osinbajo) mandate . During Obansanjo/Atiku Nigeria condemn Atiku more than Obj but today Nigeria V.P has suddenly become inconsequential . Sentiment apart if Atiku stand with Osinbanjo i will vote Atiku 100 times, simple because Obj/Atiku government are far better than what we have today. Nigeria will always make mistake just because of tribalism but wait is Dave Umahi not worthy of becoming Nigeria President or is because he is iboman? |
Former Senator shehu Sani challenge any Northern politicians who are in support of Tinubu presidential ambition for 2023 to paste his poster in front of his house. Below is his assertion on twitter.

Youths in Northern Nigeria are currently staging a protest over the widespread killings in the region. The protesters carrying different placards have taken to major streets in the FCT, Kano, Bauchi, Zamfara and Sokoto States. The protesters called on President Buhari and governors to show more interest in tackling insecurity. Zainab Naseer Ahmad, who led the peaceful protest in Kano, lamented how insecurity is threatening the lives and livelihood of Nigerians. “We have come to share our concern and send a message to our leaders; we are tired of the worsening state of insecurity in the country. Every now and then, lives are lost, people are being unjustly killed like animals. We demand the return of peace in our societies. We are saying enough is enough, no more blood shed! Out-of-school children is witnessing a massive rise, orphans everywhere. We can’t travel in peace, economy is crumbling. People are burnt while travelling.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke4GcFaXtP4

Soludo will not be declared winner even after INEC has released the results of 20 out of 21 LGAs. The elections had to be declared inconclusive because Ihiala LGA couldn’t vote. Being that the total number of registered voters in Ihiala is 148,000 which is more than the total number of votes won by Soludo, the leading candidate, a supplementary election must be held there to determine the valid winner of the governorship elections. The action of INEC is not strange, it had happened in the last Imo and Osun governorship elections. It is the law. It is not rocket science. Meanwhile the turnout in this election is less than 15 % hence not more than 22,200 votes are expected from Ihiala. Below are the results from 20 LGA as already announced by INEC: APC - 42,942 APGA - 103,946 PDP - 51,322 YPP - 20,917 Assuming you add the 22,200 votes expected from Ihiala to the next candidate with the highest vote which is PDP’s Val Ozigbo, his score will be 73,522 votes which is 30,424 votes less than Soludo’s votes. Meanwhile, INEC has scheduled the supplementary election in Ihiala LGA for Tuesday 9th November 2021. It is after then that the winner will be officially announced. Be calm. The winner and the losers already know themselves. Ndi Anambra too know who their next governor is. It shall be well with Anambra state. Prince Sunnystar

EndNigeriaNnow:Alleged billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudimeme ‘Evans’ Onwuamadike has denied being a kidnapper, claiming that he is an ornaments and Horlicks dealer. Recall that Onwuamadike is standing trial alongside Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu and Victor Aduba over the alleged kidnap of Donatus Dunu, chief executive officer of Maydon Pharmaceutical Ltd and collection of £223,000 (N100 million) as ransom from his family. All the defendants who were first arraigned on August 30, 2017, on two counts of conspiracy and kidnapping, have maintained their innocence. After being led in by his defense counsel Victor Okpara on Tuesday August 3, Evans denied all allegations of kidnapping levelled against him by the Lagos State Government, insisting he was a legitimate businessman. Claiming that he was coerced into admitting being a kidnapper after the police in a bid to make him confess, extra-judicially killed four individuals in his presence, the alleged kidnapper also denied having "Evans" as his nickname. He said; “I live at Fred Shoboyede Street, Magodo Phase II, Lagos. I am a businessman and I deal in ornaments and Horlicks. "My lord, my name is not Evans and I don’t have a nickname.” Ifeanyi and Aduba, two former soldiers of the Nigerian Army who also testified on Tuesday, denied being accomplices to the crime. Aduba recounted refusing to sign a written statement admitting to the crime after allegedly being ordered to do so by one Idowu Haruna, said to be a member of the police intelligence response team (IRT). He also showed the court an injury on his body, claiming he was taken to a “theatre” where he was beaten and cut with a machete by Haruna. Aduba also recalled how three men; Felix Chinemeren, Paul Samyan and Chukwuma Nwosu who were initially paraded before the media as kidnappers, were killed by members of the IRT. He said; “I was still being told to sign some papers but I refused and I said if I refuse I will travel (slang for killed). At that point, Idowu Haruna brought out his phone for me to look at some pictures. “When I looked at it, I discovered it was the dead bodies. |
