There are sports academies and athlethics coaches in Port Harcourt, even in the Universities located in the State. Let the parents go the extra mile to enroll her and nurture her sprint talent. You have done the first important job which is to identify the Talent: God bless you for this. kaludestiny10: |
Needed in Abuja:A language Teacher who can proficiently teach the Enu-Ani Dialect(spoken in Ibusa,Onicha-Olona, Ogwashi-Uku, Asaba,Idumuje etc of Delta state). Please send a dM if interested .Thanks. |
Kisstomboli:I feel your pain. It ain't easy but please Stay strong and hold on. Please do a confirmatory test at another lab/clinic to be certain. I know a lady who was wrongly diagnosed as +ve on her 1st test and a nurse once told me cases of patients with malaria plus who tested hv +ve but on recovery from the malaria tested - ve, thus emphasizing the importance of confirmatory tests. Don't rely on one first test. |
Tony142:Go for an examination. Mine was caused by wax build up. The doctor used a special device and water to wash my ear and flush out the wax and I began hearing very well again. |
Rebuke:I am amazed to see someone who remembers this great sad movie. A movie that began and ended with weeping. That movie deserves an award and Francis Duru was outstanding in his act. The entire story line was great and a reflection of the series of misfortune that many poor people face throughout their life, trying to overcome but life keeps dealing them a bad hand. If I recall well, he died at the end of the movie as a victim of police stray bullet. Life is not fair indeed. You can't watch that movie without shedding tears. |
also mention Macy Gray. She does not have a "beautiful" voice but churned out sweet songs that made her famous and successful. My favorite track of hers is "I try" WILLuKPquiet: |

BigBashiru:Go to google and type black inventors and read up everything you see. Let me call some remarkable black inventors for you: Unilag's Prof Ayodele Awojobi with his Autonov 1, Dorothy Vaughan 'the Human Computer',Lonnie Johnson with his Super Soaker water gun that was a global success, Marie Van Brittan Brown who invented the first CCTV,Jerry Lawson who invented the first home video game which was the pioneer of every video game today, Benjamin Bradley who lacked formal education but invented the 1st steam engine used on a warship, the ingenious refineries and ammunitions created by Biafran soldiers during the civil war that marveled white historians,Powtawche Valerino, the highly revered Walter Lincoln Hawkins ,physicist and astronaut Ronald McNair who died in the 1986 challenger space shuttle explosion, Walter Lincoln Hawkins& other great black inventors. I observed you making derogatory comments implying blacks have no inventions to show. There are lots of black inventions if you care to research but black inventions& their inventors have always been downplayed by the western press right from history.Even as we speak,Blacks globally keep making great contributions to STEM. Please don't be an Uncle Ruckus. Look for the achievements of your race and celebrate/ promote it. I end with a quote by Dele Momodu "if we(blacks) don't celebrate ourselves, who would do it? |
osazsky:You have shifted the goal post to comparing the age of the 2 coaches However my initial reply was to tell you that C.Ronaldo did not give Fergie his 1st UCL as you wrongly claimed. Regarding age and winning trophies you would observe that a coach can win trophies at any age. some win trophies early in their career, others win late in life like Fergie and some coaches no matter how good they are ,are never lucky to win a trophy throughout their career(maybe it's their destiny).Time& chance happens to them all. |
osazsky:Your first point is ABSOLUTELY WRONG because C.Ronaldo was not part of the MAN UTD team that won the champions league in 1999 and gave Alex Ferguson his first UCL trophy. You can google it. |

collinkz:Go ahead If you are already working in the drilling industry, although IWCF is more common than IADC in the Nigerian drilling sector. If you are a job seeker with no industry connections, you may need to have a rethink as it would be painful to run these very expensive course and still tanda for house as u watch the Cert's validity duration run out. My honest opinion.you can pm me if u have more questions. |

@daylife7 thank you for a thread like this. you are reawakening the passion i lost for drilling engineering.i have always wanted to be a drilling engineer, but four years of fruitless job search got me thinking whether i am just wasting my time trying to be what i am not destined to be.The closest shot i got was when i applied for a roustabout position in a drilling coy,but the HR manager turned me at the interview ,saying i was too knowledgeable about drilling engineering to work as a roustabout and if i was employed,i would leave the company once i got a better offer elsewhere. let me ask you this question, what are my chances of getting a job in the Drilling Industry bearing in mind that i'm still a fresher with small work experience when compared with the experienced dudes being laid off &coming to swell up the unemployment market. your reply will be appreciated. |
@PrinceAlPacino and Davide470,thank you so much for shedding some light on the current state of things and rekindling hope for others yet to be called up for BHE.thank u once again. |

Royal30: YES.......I just got mine yesterday. Please any idea on wot to expect?Royal30 Please dont be offended by my question, are You a HND or Degree Holder? i ask because because i'm wondering if they also invited degree holders for the Drilling Cadet test. i remember there was this argument among applicants back then, whether the Drilling Cadet vacancy was strictly for HND holders only. Thanks |
@piazon please confirm from that your friend if he has done his interview and if the recruitment is in batches. some of us are worried because our application status still states ''under review'' ? Lets's still keep hope very much alive but the more information we can get, the better for us in knowing our fate |
