How does one reconcile the fruitless and shameless Waka about of the so-called former international UN official, Gambari, with the treasonable act of beer destruction by Shariah police in the Shariah enclaves of Kano and Kaduna? While Ganduje may be forgiven, what about El-Rufai, the self-appointed apostle of one indivisible Nigeria? The northern hegemonic oligarchy seems hell bent on plunging Nigeria into crisis going by their recent moves. How can state governments brazenly violate constitution of Nigeria under the guise of implementing Shariah? It is pure treason. Southerners cannot carry out their legitimate business in the north while northerners want to feel comfortable in the south. The northern hegemonic oligarchy are parroting one indivisible Nigeria while at the same time dividing the country along religious lines. Right now Ganduje, the Kano State governor, and El-Rufai, the Kaduna state governor, are in the same league of Nnamdi Kanu and Adeyinka Grandson. I think it is hypocrisy condemning the duo of Nnamdi Kanu and Adeyinka Grandson while the northern political leaders are getting away with violations of the constitution. The southern politicians are at risk of being termed the enemies of the people if they fail to stand by their people. The northern political elite are appealing to their base while the likes of Gambari are instigating the southern politicians against their people by throwing the social media regulation poison at them. The northern political leaders are killing two birds with one stone : establishing and solidifying their political base by strengthrning sharia amongst others and at the same time instigating the southern politicians against their people by asking them to support social media regulation. |
Powersurge:The thugs they unleashed went outside their control and so they have to shift the blames. There is no correlation between Endsars protesters and hooligans that wrecked havoc. This government is just looking for means to criminalize protest and delegitimize opposition. |
Shooyie:If the likes of Garba Sheu, the presidential spokesman, are against the Insecurity in the north the way they are concerned about the endsars protests the north would have been peaceful by now. There is difference between Endsars protests and the violent protest by thugs and hooligan. The likes of Garba Sheu are changing the narrative and must be called out. Osinbajo and the so-called presidency appear to be working against each other going by the statement attributed to Garba Shehu. |
Seerade029:Kindly listen to us that are in the country so that you can be guided correctly. |
Seerade029:The northern cabal are presently undermining your chances of surviving in your country while you are are deluding yourself with the illusory 2023 that they will gift you. Wake up please! |
Seerade029:Are you in a dream or a trance? |
While the northern political elite continue to pamper the bandits, killer Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram, they never hesitated to sideline Osinbajo in his move to peacefully resolve the endsars protests issues. Osinbajo was the initial voice of the federal government in the effort to look into the remote and immediate causes of the endsars protests. Osinbajo was used as a bait to lure the endsars to discussion. Having brought them out, Osinbajo was dumped and Gambari is deceiving the southern leaders with his ruse called nationwide peace moves while another group of the northern hawks are busy hunting down the southern youth. Osinbajo is the good face from the south the northern hawks in collusion with their southern counterparts use to deceive the south. Where is Osinbajo after he has been used against the southern youth by bringing them to the negotiation table only to be clamped down by the security forces? Where was Gambari then? Why Gambari now? |
TecM0:Between Gambari and Osinbajo, who is to perform the role the former has burdened himself with? Has anybody noticed that the reconciliatory move earlier initiated by Osinbajo has been dumped by the Aso Rock mafia as represented by Gambari? Are we not seeing the violent approach being adopted by the the northern hegemonic oligarchy now? Is Osinbajo speaking again on endsars? The so-called Yoruba elders are not asking questions! Why Gambari now when Osinbajo is still in Aso Rock? It is because the present crop of Yoruba leaders are greedy, heartless, useless and morally corrupt. |
TecM0:My concern is the preoccupation to use any means to stay in power while no effort is made to deliver good governance. It is not any of my business what parentage of Gambari is. |
TecM0:What has a chief of staff got to do with meeting up with political leaders on regional basis? Where in the constitution is that role spelt out for his office? Insecurity in the north has never forced him out of Aso Rock but endsars and protests in the south has done that. |
TecM0:He cannot move about on killing, Boko Haram terrorists, bandits and killer herdsmen. He can vacate his office because of endsars and the draconian agenda to regulate the social media and freedom of expression. Kindly tell me the last time Gambari convened meeting on Boko Haram terrorists, bandits and killer herdsmen. |
TecM0:My political views are expressions of my rights as guaranteed under the Nigerian constitution. Wrapping regional agenda with Nigerian look is a fraud. Gambari is going about propagating northern stand as a national assignment. He must be exposed. The southwest is totally engulfed in feudalism as displayed by the southwest political class when they received the current arrowhead of feudalism from the north, Agboola Gambari |
IJOBA2:That is their headache |
engrchykae:My point is that the Fulani get away with their political crimes because southern politicians are in support due to their corrupt nature. Most Southern politicians are after their pocket and can sell their birthright for that |
Easternmind:We used to be at the forefront of democratic struggle and progressive politics where human rights were being championed. However, our political leaders are now colluding with the feudal north to impoverish our people and turn them into election machine feed. Thereafter, they are dumped. |
engrchykae:Fulani domination is a myth. The other Nigerian nationalities, as represented by their respective political elite, are partakers of the loot. Fulani are just a front. |
omenka:I am Yoruba and a Muslim. No big deal about that. So, being muslim and Yoruba automatically disqualifies me from commenting on political issues, is that your stand? |
Zooposki:Gbogbo wa ò lè sùn ká kọrí sí ìbikan náà |
omenka:Obsession with my home region? Ìgbà ọ̀tun ti dé. Ìṣèlú ti gbogbo wa ni. |
xcellentgraphic:Of course, your provincial nature is a stumbling block towards forming a wider world view. I might not be able to help you develop your capacity and willingness to learn. |
xcellentgraphic:Not every thread is meant for your understanding. Your mental faculty or level of brainwashing may be an obstacle to your comprehension of what is written. |
delkuf:He might be be a political erat |
Manab:I can house you. It is my right to comment on the political developments in my country. |
valentineuwakwe:Corruption is what is driving the southern politicians. As long as corrupt politicians keep leading the south, the the north will keep holding the nation to ransom. Now they are selling gaging of speech, which the north initiated, to the south. And the southern politicians are in support. |
The fallout of the divisive gathering of the northern political hawks under the umbrella of Arewa is the Bororo roaming of the nation's geopolitical zones by the chief of staff to the president, Agboola Gambari. Having been caught in the usual act of grandstanding as the power brokers of the political space called Nigeria, the Arewa hegemonic oligarchy had to hurriedly arrange a nationwide tour to douse the tension generated by the press release from the Arewa gathering. It was solely Arewa gathering initially, but suddenly given a national outlook by conveying similar gatherings in the south. The hawks in the presidency are recreating the old one-north agenda in the toga of Arewa. If truly it was meant to be a nationwide tour, why was an official statement not released from the the so-called presidency? Why the nationwide tour after the condemnination that greeted the Arewa gathering? The south is visited by Gambari on geopolitical basis while the north gathered as Arewa. What happened to the north central, north east and north west? Why did Gambari not do the consultation on that geopolitical basis? What Gambari is doing is selling the Agenda of the Arewa to the south and they are falling for it. By the way, why did Gambari not consult with one south as he did whit one north, under Arewa? |
wakaman:You are not communicating. |
helinues:You still exhibit lack of coherence and comprehension. |
helinues:Cannot make sense out of your comment. |
helinues:This comment of yours is not meaningful. |
stonemasonn:That is the northern approach. It has not worked for the north, neither will it work for the south. The best option is the political option of voting them out of power. We can start the awareness now. It is clear that the southwest politicians are no more representing the interest of the southwest. They have derailed. The people have deserted them. This is an opportunity for a a new progressive political order in the southwest. |
The rise of religious sentiment and political agenda in tandem with the northern hegemonic oligarchy have sealed the coffin of progressive politics in the go-political region. As things stand now, the southwest is under the marauding force of the feudal lords who are ready to crush anyone on their way. The looting of public fund and misappropriation of public funds which the northern political hegemony is notorious for is already enshrined in the southwest. Nepotism, incompetence and political banditry now ravage the southwest. The southwest should brace up for political harassment, killing and imprisonment. The era of peace in the southwest may be over soon as the present political class join their northern counterparts to unleash terror and horror on their people as they consolidate their power and grip. Corruption brings easy money. The bankrupt political class in the southwest need cash and that can only be obtained by the corruption-enabling federal government controlled by the hegemonic feudal northern politicians. The southwest political class are throwing their people under the bus to align with the politicians from the north. The southwest is under siege. How long this lasts will be determined by the Yoruba collective power to change their present political class. |
