hmmn. the main problem is the candidates APC presented at the state level and also obaseki/oshiomole supremacy battle and obaseki stepping on the toes of the political bigwigs in Edo state. Also don't rule out vote buying politics. in my own unit PDP was sharing 2k per voters while APC was sharing around 1500per vote. the voting just had to do with who had the biggest purchasing power and unfortunately that was PDP I was even reliable informed that it was 2k because it was a PDP stronghold and that in APC strongholds it was 5k from PDP. should obaseki seek re election next year he quickly needs to mend the tear and do away with some of his party excos since it looks like they are not strong enough.

Urhoghide will win obviously, based on performance omosede will definitely win, I don't know of ihama. However the Buhari factor will give victory to most of the PDP federal legislators(aspirants) in Edo South.

Ihama is at a disadvantage as oredo has never returned an incumbent house of reps member and osaigbovo is looked at as a promise and fail who is relying on the governor to win. mighty man is looked at as a youth, down to earth, enjoys wide support as he is the only candidate who is personally visiting every house. ADC also has kola edokpayi as its house of assembly candidate. yes that famous civil rights activist. who is looked at as a man of the people. so the party bears the image that its the party of the people. oredo is the one that is going to spring a suprise. also you fail to understand the dynamics of Edo south politics .forget any chief forming political strongman or party leader every Bini revers the oba and the chiefs follow the oba's body language and that is certainly what determines the voting pattern. I can assure you that except PDP rigs in the presidential election buhari is going to perform very well in Edo state. it would have been different tale if we had a very strong and well grounded third force.

My points were 1) Okada and Ovia would have been worse off without Gabriel's philanthropic attitude 2) He has contributed to the development of ovia and thus deserves respect 3) He is a successful entrepreneur and was already successful before his son became governor. I am not from Edo central or Edo North like you, i am from Ovia North East and we have chosen Omosede regardless of whether she shares 5000 naira or not. Just drink water and mind your business. Besides I voted at Ugbineh Ovia North East in 2015 and I didn't collect a dime to vote her and there are many of us in my PU who voted for Omosede and didn't collect a kobo. His son was terrible as governor but still remains one of the best local government chairman Oredo has ever had.
