I'm A catholic but i seem to be oblivious of the essence of this black outfit.. Seriously, come on... Wearing black to church and back is supposed to send a message.
I think that if the leaders of the church dont want to do anything, let them keep mute as usual but if they do want to make a stand, then it should be loud.
I believe they can do more, eg They can start to mandate their priest to speak to the people of God about the need to be liberated. There are various passages in the holy bible that can back it up. Nehemiah, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 kings all have stories for back up.
Let them do this bravely, and instill amongst the people the aura of political participation only then would they have made their mark...
But of course there's no clear distinction between some of them and politicians.

I'm kind of confused on the justification for this. Can we say that the end justifies the action. Or can we condemn both the intention and the act.
Either way it affects us according to our morality, lets endeavor to reach out to those hat needs help..
