You can just go to the registry in your state, no ceremony. But i don't know if other certificated apart from Federal Marriage certificate is accepted

accra.immigration@international.gc.ca They don't respond to email. Which date did your passport reach IRCC ? I think they only stamp Thursday and sometimes Friday. when their mates are stamping everyday.

i just wanted to put this advice here for someone in the future. I wish I had know this earlier. After PPR, if you wish to travel very soon, DO NOT SEND YOUR PASSPORT TO ACCRA VO OR EGYPT VO. Some people's passport are holed up for two months+ now in those two visa offices. Do you research on current stamping timelines or prefer London VO or Dubai VO.

It's not funny again sef. After no update for 3 weeks. They sent me a mail that they didn't see my passport photograph.
New PPR should just send to other VO like London or Cairo whether you are in a hurry to travel or not. Accra VO is stress.

Yea, so passports are getting stuck at IRCC office Accra. Mine has been sitting in IRCC/Accra for 2 weeks now, others are sitting there for five weeks now. I hope they wont keep it for months like they did during pandemic time. I'm already regretting sending to Accra sef.

I sent mine on the 14th of Feb through Abuja. Got tracking number on the 15th. Got a mail yesterday that it just got to Accra VFS and another mail that it’s on its way to IRCC office

Looks like normal VFS Lagos timeline, until either VFS or Accra decide to flex power

This is a summary of my timeline for passport submission via VFS Lagos. Just to act as a guide to those who used VFS Lagos.

PPR date: 12th January 2022.

Submitted passport at UPS office (2-way delivery): 17th January.

VFS Lagos Received passport: 18th January. They
confirmed that passport is in transit same day.

Passport was received at VFS Ghana: 7th February.

Passport got to IRCC: 10th February.

Counterfoil was generated on: 17th February.

Passport sent back to VFS Ghana: 18th February.

Passport got to VFS Lagos: March 1st.

UPS delivered passport to me (because I did 2-way delivery): 7th March.

In all, it took a little over 6-weeks. That's a lot of time, but I was not in a hurry.

A friend used VFS Abuja. He submitted on Jan 15th (DHL & 2-way). Passport was delivered to his house on 25th February. That's approx. 5 weeks.

Depends on if he's in a hurry or not. Lagos and Abuja VFS is taking like 6 weeks or more now. Accra/Cairo may take shorter. AbuDhabi is fastest, 1 week now.

Short story :

I would have said 'mail tescom', but this is naija. You probably need to find a charismatic person to visit tescom on your behalf.

I just contacted the PPA where I did my NYSC to obtain reference letter from them. The principal said I have to get approval from Tescom Ekiti branch before she can issue a reference letter indicating that I indeed taught there during my NYSC.

I don't know what to do now. I feel really helpless now. How do I get tescom to approve her giving me a reference letter ? ���.

Please does anyone have any suggestions? Pls. How do I get a reference letter from the PPA I served.

It was really a marketing session. They were really telling us how cool and serene NB is and why we should come and settle there. Also brought a recent PR there to give us her firsthand experience. Also a lot of question and answers.

One of the interesting responses i got was that for proof of job experience, they just want to be satisfied that you have performed the job in the past. So if you can't get a referral letter from your employer, things like job awards, employment contracts etc. might be accepted on a CASE BY CASE basis.

I think your score only gets calculated twice: on ITA and eAPR. Once you pass the eAPR, your score gets locked.

if your eAPR is before you clock 30, you're safe, (i think).

Please guys, forgive me if my question will sound a bit stupid.

I was wondering eh, if I get in the EE pool for FSW, and I get an ITA about one month before I clock 30 and I eventually was able to submit a full profile to apply for PR about two weeks after getting the ITA (before I actually become 30), with my CRS score being affected once I clock 30, two weeks later, will the application for PR be rescinded?

Assuming the new CRS (after turning 30) is less than the cut-off score for the last draw that got me the ITA.
