Politics › Re: I Think The Igbos Are The Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Burob: 11:57am On Jan 03, 2024
FreedomfromtheT:
The Hausas are thought to be the largest ethnic group in Nigeria.
Considering the fact that all Hausa speaking northerners are wrongly classified as Hausas, this belief may be wrong.
Apart from Kanuris and Fulanis, there are lots of northern minority groups who are not Hausa but communicate in Hausa all the same.
The Igbos on the other hand, are not only the majority in the Southeast but also in the Southsouth.
The Igbos are also the second largest ethnic group in the Southwest and the North central regions.
Apart from that, the Igbos are also the second largest ethnic group in the Northeast and Northwest apart from the indigines.
The Yorubas however, are only majority in the Southwest.
Like MTN, it is Igbos everywhere you go.
If you think I am wrong, counter my assertion with facts and not Igbophobia propaganda.
God bless you.
God bless Nigeria.
The Population of only Kano State is more than the 5 Eastern States combined.

- APC supporters having hope ontop of hope

- APC supporters presently enjoying “e fara ba le”, while roasting like the proverbial cricket.

- The same APC supporters lamenting “Baba Tinubu e jo”

Na dem sabi.

Worry, Anxiety In Nigeria, As super eagles number 1 Francis Uzoho Is Set To Arrive Super Eagles UAE Camp Late

The 25-year-old may arrive Super Eagles later than the initial 1st January 2024, date by CAF.

Omonia Nicosia is in dire need of their senior experienced goalie as first choice goalkeeper is out injured.

Reports say the Cypriot giants have written to the NFF so it forgive the shot-stopper's late arrival.

The former Deportivo la Coruna safe-hands, is expected to man Super Eagles goal at the 2024 AFCON.
What a joke, safe hands indeed.

Dubai is only that rich because it is part of a country that produces twice as much oil as Nigeria, for a population less than 16 million people.

In a way it is poor as well. It does not manufacture, or export manufactured goods. If oil collapsed, Dubai would fall as well.
Man I saw what oil money can do, we have oil, the Emirates was a desert 50 years ago,

We have oil, gas in abundance in Nigeria, they cannot even refine their own oil, we have Human Resources also which is the most important thing, nothing to show for it, In the Emirates expatriates from Asia do the construction & other menial jobs.

Nigeria should be a lot richer than the Emirates, we have Jobless people everywhere, no monumental structures of international standards to even brag about.

Rather they are still talking of electricity in 2024, Let Elon Musk come & assist Nigeria if they really want electricity.

Been in the Emirates is like been in a new Los Angeles, cannot imagine what Riyad Saudi will be like.

Black man know yourself.
Politics › Re: Power Supply Fails To Improve 10 Years After Privatization by Burob: 10:46am On Jan 02, 2024
nairalanda1:
No.
Things don't work because we do not pay enough to work

Take Nitel and GSM companies. The reason why GSM companies work and why NITEL fell is because GSM companies were allowed to set their prices freely while Nitel was not allowed to set its prices. Result, MTN and now Airtel, along with Glo and even 9mobile, beat Nitel and its mobile subsidiary Mtel to the ground with profit driven development.

Nigerians do not want to accept that petrol and power are not cheap...which is why we have massive dysfunction in both sectors. When you offer cheap petrol and power, someone, somehwere else is paying heavily, and there are massive losses.
Lazy minded race of people, the day I landed in Abu Dhabi for the first time, was the day I confirmed that the black man is cursed.

With all their resources & man power, nothing to show for it, even the great Fela Kuri complained about ordinary electricity, where Kanji Dam?

Because NLC is a welfarist organisation. While it is commedable, and while Nigeria has a big problem with corruption. , even if we stopped corruption and recovered all our looted money, we would not have enough cash to run a welfare society with cheap power and petrol.

We would run into debt and have to take loans. Too many people.

Only way is to have effective tax collection and some free market here. That way the economy can grow, and then the government can earn enough to pay a form of subsidy.
I agree, mother of all strikes will occur in Nigeria, lack of societal discipline.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria was created to be a dysfunctional society.

See how they made useless this privatization of he electricity sector, remember that morning in November 2013, when President Jonathan was handing over certificates to those quacks.

And you can only get more generation if the DISCOS are allowed to make enough profit by being freed to set their own prices, and by government not setting their prices for them, and not paying subsidies....which would enable the discos to pay the GENCOS...which would enable the GENCOS to make a profit to expand generation.

Very simple.
NLC will never agree, mother of all strikes will occur in Nigeria, lack of societal discipline.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria was created to be a dysfunctional society.

You think the cabals behind generators and plants will want it to improve? If the president wants it to improve, he knows what to do
Know what to do Indeed, nonsensical talk, since you were born in The Federal Republic of Nigeria , have you ever had constant electricity?

To you it is the president, not the society that will provide electricity for themselves, you want Oyibo man to come and give you electricity?

Because the citizens have chosen not to be innovative, it is the Oyibo man that gave them electricity in China, & North Korea?
