Career / Re: Should I Sacrifice My Laboratory Technician Career For Programming ? by BuzChi(m): 12:54am On May 19, 2021 |
My advice to you is to do your medical course and be learning either data analysis, data science or basic programming on your own. Every field needs one good in one of these insights. As an engineer, I can apply some coding in analysis machine sensor data to learn the data and derive insight. When you specialize in something, it gives more substance to using the data science knowledge to be more updated. If you choose to rely on certification and be a specialist, it's still okay but you can still do with your medical studies. And who knows, if you try to apply for a foreign schools you could get a PHD sponsorship from foreign profs, not requiring any Nigerian connection but your own strategy on reaching out to profs directly in foreign schools, because medical studies always have funds in foreign schools. Think locally and plan globally as you make your decision. Good luck!! |
Family / Re: Don't Leave Your Man For Having Too Many Partners: Man Advises Women. (photos) by BuzChi(m): 3:35pm On Apr 27, 2021 |
It is because of the cultural abuse of the society that is why most people accept this in Nigeria. It is important to know one's life is deeper than the skin color so either black or white, the question is what are the contents of the person's, man or woman, heart and mind, these are the issues ruling over people. When one's content is filled with how to take advantage of one's culture to be deceitful and control other people, that's a willing choice to obey deceits and other obscure lifestyles. We have to define the kind of Nigerian we want to be; no be by force to be looted by greedy in-laws through bride price, a lady should be vocal to avoid exploitation of her man here; no be by force to have a need of control of either husband or wife, both should wisely serve each other with their finances since una lives are already being shared; no be by force to entertain bad thoughts that could affect your children mental well-being because the man or woman wants to live amorously. Most of these are part of the challenges that makes living interesting, as you protect your heart and mind from nonsense thoughts and keep giving it fruitful and meaningful ingredients, you will be surprised how much you will change outwardly. saphiere: |
Family / Re: The Benefits Of Marrying Young Even If You Are Poor by BuzChi(m): 10:59pm On Mar 22, 2021 |
That is typical in some Nigerian context, not all Nigerians. When both couples are respectfully and lovingly sharing with each other their resources, without undue high blood pressure because of society expectations, marriage becomes a striving beautiful journey. In that same country, Nigeria, a couple of women earn far more than their husbands, and they still have happy homes, working with each other lovingly: a simple example is the new DG WTO, Ngozi Iweala. It is good for man to earn money, that's important, but do not be too stereotyped and avoid ladies who also have that stereotypical mindsets that the 'man's money is everyone's, but the woman's money is hers'. God bless and enrich single guys so they can easily settle with the women of their desires: God bless and enrich single ladies so they can easily work and strive with the man of their dreams to a bright future. obyrich: This will be the pinnacle of observing transparency and enabling high regards of citizens rights, but I am not sure the Nigerian police force is ready for it yet. In the US, it took some time for their police force to use body-cams. It was embraced by California in 2009, and other states started using it gradually till it became a norm in most states sometime from around 2015. For now, I will suggest every police vehicle should have a camera mounted on it, at the front and back, and camera coverage at strategic street and highway cameras on high-crime locations. 1 Like |

AsabaPropertyAg: Very interesting points you have raised!! I believe the #endsars protest was a pivotal moment to lead to changes. I have heard of the salary increment for the poice force: I am hoping it is done ASAP! The reforms should be aimed at more transparency. The business that will spring up in Nigeria when security is efficient will amaze everyone. Look at how efficiently the US Navy Seals took at a kidnapped American from captors in Niger at the early hours of 1/11/2020: that is what makes citizens proud of their country. I am believing the time will come soon when Nigerians can be at least proud of the reformed Nigerian police force- of course I am not comparing the police force to the US Navy Seal !! |

It is important that we should never yield to depression and frustrations! There is always hope, insatiable greed is what has brought Nigeria to its current position. It is high-time people rise, with light in their hearts and minds, work out the Nigeria that shall be the envy of Western nations. |

I will also recommend that the Nollywood industry pick stories of remarkable police officers who are exceptional and produce these kind of movies at different times. This, I believe, will have an effect of promoting good values in the police force. |

I see a revolution has started in the country. It is sad some people have been killed who just wanted to see a change: which will inevitably happen in Nigeria. One day, Nigerians in Nigeria and abroad will be proud of their country because of the high level of security and economic development that'll exist: this will come to pass very soon!! There should be effective plans to evaluate the salary structure of the police force, continual training and mental evaluation of the force members and transparency to enable citizens participate in an effective 'policing of the police' program in the country. |

Ekakamba: The only major difference is the system works! If you research after Hurricane Katrina in the US and any other post-disaster periods, there were lots of looting and theft. These only happened because of the temporary break-down of law and order. If a nation decides to work its systems like the way Singapore, Malaysia, Kenya and even Rwanda is pushing through now, that nation will look pretty developed. It is a will and decision to work one's systems and not give in to insatiable greed that corrupts one's future |

It's sad but true! However, in life I have noticed how it's important to keep projecting your desires, whatever it is, small or large, because the future is still ahead. Some people that suddenly find themselves in positions of authority mostly only thought of partaking of the 'national cake'. This 'national cake' idea destroys technocracy, capitalism and progression in the country: it may seem good now when illicit cash flows into your hand but when the slate is to be cleaned many greedy 'subordinates' take the fall because they thought it was normal to greedily partake of the 'national cake'! I will encourage more strategic options being projected; in my case, with regards 'policing the police', because the future could just come looking for you as a result of how far reaching your desires go. There is a lot of promises an under-developed country like Nigeria offers which makes people from different parts of the globe to, in a way, keep a vigilant eye on the country. |

I believe it is possible: but policing in Nigeria will need to embrace community policing with a human face and not a dictatorial face! |

It will require a strong commitment from government and third parties experts, like a five year partnership, to ensure sustainability and transparency of this policing standard 1 Like |

I initially wanted to say she is being lazy and all that, but on listening to the video I would say those writers are being abused. Most people's comment were based on only the brief write-up under the video. I do not believe the contract letter for the job will indicate the kind of abuse they will face. Sadly its mostly Indians and Chinese that do forced labor which is not the best for sustainable growth!! 1 Like |

It will be a great progress if there are ways to initiate 'police the police' in Nigeria. Let there be a compulsory video capture of police checkpoints or units at designated areas in Nigeria. These videos should be available on all police online portals daily. As police are fighting crime, which is their essential duty, let Nigerian citizens start to build confidence in the police force through more accountability measures. This is possible since other African countries like Kenya are doing even better!. Abeg let anyone in authority encourage this so people will be proud of the Nigerian Police Force!! 2 Likes |

The only major error you make here is that whatever you have said of Christianity is not what the Savior Yeshua and his disciples lived by, rather in their deaths salvation travelled deeper in the stony hearts of men. It is totally different from how the 'Holy Prophet' in Islam spread his own faith, which was more of 'obey or die'- very different from being a follower of Christ. The spread of Christianity in the times you have talked about was by people bent on political and selfish agendas, never about Christ Jesus and the Love of God. Man always wants to manipulate their fellow men through religion or politics..Do not try to be religious, being a devout muslim or christian or whatever, but try to understand the Love of God for yourself and God, who is Love, will visit you!!! Religion / Re: How Gullible Are These People? by BuzChi(m): 7:01pm On Apr 26, 2020 |
You made a good point, but you missed something. Some religious teachers like imams, guru (hindu teachers) and so many others, not only pastors, easily lure people into deception and hypocrisy. But as you rightly said, people should listen and be closer to God, cannot be overstated. We each have a journey; though we were born into some particular religious environment, we are individually responsible to grow into union with our creator. But how can we know our creator if we do not see him in the world he has made. God is love, religion of any kind is limited because its man's way to reach God, which can be very evil at times! In understanding God's love and wisdom, can we truly see His hand through all the wickedness done through religion and politics!! Peace |
