vosquare: And also, the cloned app won't have anything to do with the original. Example is whatsapp, u can have 2 whatsapps on your phone with different number and they won't jam. In short cloning an app is like installing a new app with the original app intact yes, very correct. |

Baroba: Xiaomi seems to be trending on NL.. Can a Xiaomi owner please explain to me the concept of app cloning, read about it somewhere but it wasn't clear.. Does it mean two apps on two different simsbor what?.. The feature can be found on miui 8. With it you can have an app installed twice on same device; dual app feature has no business with your sim. Its the same icon u get for both apps, i think the only difference is that there is a yellow leaf-like icon just by the side of the second app to differentiate them.

Gptech: Then what's the use of Alipay or Alipocket if its not for retaining dollars, any explanation? I dont really know abt all these online payment stuff. But from what i read on Aliexpress i dont think theyre stopping it totally. I think Bookiemart01 explained it. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by BuzzRay(m): 8:46am On Nov 20, 2016 |
Gptech: So Aliexpress are stopping Alipay by January, not good at all. They are not stopping alipay totally, it is only the balance service thats gonna be scrapped. Which means u wont be able to retain $, like Alipocket. U can still pay through alipay. But both are confusing, what are the difference? |

Bookiemart01: Yes true... Aliexpress is a market place filled with many sellers. So, an escrow holds funds till buyer confirms receipt of goods Thanks ma. Sometimes buying online can frustrating. Am just being careful. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by BuzzRay(m): 10:06am On Nov 18, 2016 |
Bookiemart01: Oops my bad.. They do. http://www.geekbuying.com/help/Shipping_Delivery/can_you_ship_to_my_country
I think they are not bad.
If you doubt them, try Gearbest or Dealsmachine but those are expensive okay, i will check those once u mentioned. I googled "geekbuying review" and the views by customers were not encouraging. People say Aliexpress is safer because when u pay, a third party holds the money till u confirm yr order has been received. Hw true is that? |

GrandMufti: A few of my friends have bought defective devices. Xiaomi did not change it. It's one story after another. They kept delaying till the warranty period expired.
Use other retailers like ali express or gear best. Most people do buy online. what do u think about geekbuying. I have been hearing that their services are poor. But theyve got what i want. |
