PattyMike: 10 calls=327 minutes. Bad guy. Do you mostly take 20mins+ calls. To do 18 mins sef e dey heavy for eyes. I did 18 mins once though and got a 4. Since then I just prefer 7mins to 12mins tops. I have never reached 300 minutes o. I'm sure you may be referring to another person. |

brijibs: Not fulltime, but most of the time. I use my phone mostly. Though, I use laptop occasionally. And it's my first time transcribing more than 200 minutes a week. Usually, I just to 100 minutes and go to sleep. I guess seeing EFOSA on the leaderboard is the inspiration, aside from the mula Haha, seeing EFOSA also motivated me to my first 100 minutes. I find it hard using my phone. I use laptop all the time. Your phone must have a really good battery. |

I always come here to look for motivation. Some guys here really do motivate me.
Who else hates receiving mails from Qa world? You definitely know something is wrong. |

3RNEST: See u don't get me, I need a video of someone doing QAworld jobs from the beginning and getting his 5 rating, more like a tutorial video.
Can't find any on YouTube... I don't have any. But you can download their 5 rating sample transcript from their site to see how they arrange their sentences. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by BuzzRay(m): 4:33pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
samsard: You can make 'minor grammatical corrections'. But be careful else they markdown for paraphrasing. I make corrections and was getting 5s, then boom! I get a rating note to avoid paraphrasing and I also decided to manage 4s for the time being. But even seemingly bad grammar can sometimes be made right with punctuation. I don't have a guidebook for that. I also get those rating notes, matter of fact even Ralph told me it's basically the one rating note he'll get whenever he does get a rating note. Alright boss. Thanks, I would definitely try to make minor grammatical corrections. |

BOSS5: The issue is not your sentence being correct. Simply, it's as a result of punctuation. Try reading more on use of pauses, periods, semicolons, colons. The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation is a great place to start. More resources can be found online too. Just try reading on the topics I mentioned earlier on. There is quiz too. So, I think that helps. Thank you for this great advice. The blue book of grammar has been really helpful. |

I can't kill myself Boss, how do you avoid sentence structure, grammar and punctuation errors? I've been getting 4 rating because of these errors no matter how I try. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by BuzzRay(m): 11:11am On Oct 07, 2019 |
How do you guys actually get a 5 rating? I have several 4 ratings, and they always come up with sentence structure, grammar and punctuation errors. My sentences are always correct, even the punctuations. What can I do to avoid this? It seems impossible.

Happened years back, in secondary school. a bit lengthy, but just read.
It was a sunny Friday afternoon, school had just closed so my friends and i went to a nearby field to play football. Just as we were about to kick the ball, i saw that people gathered by the side of the pitch buying ice cream.
"That ice cream must be delicious" i whispered to myself. I asked another person to replace me, and i ran to get myself this mysterious ice cream, chocolate flavour; it was so delicious, my taste buds exploded. I ended up buying two more and that was my undoing.
I sat for like 15mins wondering what was going on with my stomach, it was rumbling and groaning like a beast. I didn't even say anything to my friends, i wore my trouser and immediately i ran the wind.
First, there was no bush around, so that was not an option, and my money wasn't enough after buying 3 ice creams. Imagine i had to trek all the way down to a certain gate for like 20mins with only my butt cheeks holding this hot shit together.
Omo when i reached the gate, i was just shouting "bike, bikeeeee!!!!" Lol with my blood shot eyes and sweats all over my face. Entered a bike and i was screaming to the bike man "faster, fasterrr" it was as if i was in labour.
Finally i reached my street, and my God! bushes and grasses had never looked so beautiful in eyes. Stopped the bike, i cant remember how much but i threw money at him and dived into the bush like that guy in Contra. My trouser wasn't coming off, so i did the thing right inside the trouser, yes you heard!!! came out from the bush and my ass looked bigger lol! Folded my trouser so the shit won't drop. Walked home like a big man....... The rest...... |

Earthbound: So if I install Linux, I will have a better experience, yes? it depends on what you're using yr system for. if you're a basic user, chrome Os with android functionality should be okay. it should serve yr needs. mine doesn't support andriod apps and i was missing some vital apps, so Linux was the hard way out. i do not recommend installing linux if yrs support android. what do you mostly do on yr system? |

Earthbound: What are the major things you use your computer for? I'm into programming, thats the main reason i installed Ubuntu. i do mostly coding on it, lil bit of typing and also movies. when i was using the chrome Os, i did only two things, Movies and browsing. popular apps ain't available for chrome Os, no Vlc, no Microsoft, wps, Photoshop. although you can get most of them if yrs supports andriod. mine doesn't, so i installed linux. i still boot to chrome Os once in a while. |
