PoliticsStrictly For Youths That Have Good Internet by CACAWA(op): 7:32pm On Dec 02, 2015
Hi everyone, if you are sure you have a good internet connection where you live and would like to feature in my interactive show over skype video interview, kindly PM me.

Basically, we would like to kick start a Sunday show featuring the views of ordinary Nigerian youths...STRICTLY YOUTHS... regarding the so many contemporary issues.

It will be only one guest per week anyway...so hopefully, we should have people who are very well grounded on topics about the Nigerian polity.

Cheers and I am aware that most people in Nigeria have terrible internet service...so I will understand if I only get responses from Nigerians in the diaspora.

You don't sound intelligent to me. Do you think to quench civil unrest with brute force is the way to go? If the govt apply force rather than dialogue, then they will be digging the grave of a united Nigeria. So you think if this crisis spiralled out of control than the Nigerian army can quench it? Ask yourself why has the Syrian govt unable to quench the Syrian crisis after all these years. Even using the Nigerian experience, was the Nigerian military able defeat the militants? Do you think if not for the amnesty that there will peace in the Niger delta today? Just chill, nobody wants the IPOP agitation to get out of hand because when it does, Nigeria and Nigerians will be the loser. It is easy for people like you who talk anyhow probably from the comfort of their homes to be wishing for war
How can I be wishing for war when I am not one of the IPOB youths?

And don't bother comparing book haram or Syrian ISIS to IPOB Youths or MEND....one is ready to commit suicide...the other is not.

Even if the IPOB youths are ready to blow up themselves and launch rockets...two things are against them....

One, they don't have any transnational border to use in smuggling things in and out....the lagoon is right there.
Two, they won't get any backing from other terrorist groups internationally because their cause is unpopular.

Meanwhile...take note that even if they decide to blow up all the oil and gas pipeline...and kidnap all the foreigners in their land...they won't survive it
PoliticsRe: Biafra Agitators Burn Two Trailers At Onitsha Head Bridge (Pics) by CACAWA(m): 11:19am On Dec 02, 2015
Guys...make no mistake, the only reason why revolution occurs in some countries is because the police and soldiers don't believe in shoot at sight and stray bullets.

Here in Nigeria, you know our forces are trigger happy....when they place a 24 hrs curfew and you cross the boundary...your friends will use you to learn lessons.

The only reason the helicopters with Nigerian flag flew yesterday was to a warning by the airforce about who controls the air space. The message was that the. Next time you see them on air, it may be to drop bombs.

The old men and women would have quickly understood that message which is a reminiscence of the 70s...

For your info...unlike in 1970 when Ojukwu had more than 60% control of the Nigerian Army as Ibos....which made the govt recruit many Hausa young men into the army without even school certificate....today...the biafran army have no weapons whatsoever.

The worst you can do is a guerrilla warfare like book haram...and trust that you won't get any international collaboration from Isis or Iisrael.
PoliticsRe: LAW:Nnamdi Kanu's Trial,The Judge's Absence and Excuse by CACAWA(m): 7:26pm On Dec 01, 2015
Judges are LORDs in their court yards ... they choose the dates at their convenience.

Forget about the fact that it is a profession and public service...that is mere protocol...in actual fact...

you need to picture judges as the roman emperors of ancient days...with all those powers....

However....with a bit of common sense...it is very understandable that a man who is grieving over the death of his father may not be in a stable and proper state of mind to adjudicate over matters brought before him.

Judges are meant to be light headed and free minded otherwise they may draw sentiments in, hence the adjournment.

shiinihost:
a discussant that could make laws do scape the same ministry the minister is supervising?
not even the entire senate can scrap a ministry. Only the president can create or scrap ministry. A ministry is only a department in the executive..it has nothing to do with the senate..talkless of one senator
PoliticsRe: Who Is More Powerful...a Minister And A Senator??? by CACAWA(m): 2:53pm On Nov 28, 2015
TeeOw:
The same senate that has to give approval before a ministerial nominee can become a minister can also remove a minister just like the senate can impeach a president... go and read the constitution properly...

Senators would not just remove a minister because he called them a house of rascals, they are not that "sensitive".

I know what I am talking about.
no you don't.

You are still talking about the senate as a body. We are talking about a single senator. For example, the senators from rivers state alone have no power over Amaechi today. They couldn't even stop his nomination and they also can never remove him.

Even the senate you are talking about...for example, the senate has power to confirm an INEC chairman, they have no powers to remove him.

Same rule applies to ministers...but in this case, only the president can fire a minister.

Ask yourself...what did the senate do about for aviation minister...stella odua?

They advised the president to fire her. He didn't.

That's all the senate can do...talkies of one single senator that no can't get majority of his colleagues. Lol
PoliticsRe: Who Is More Powerful...a Minister And A Senator??? by CACAWA(m): 2:47pm On Nov 28, 2015
shiinihost:
Of course the minister wields his powers in the 'senate' just like the minister wield her power in her 'ministry'. You can't talk about a senator without involving the senate.

Forget the rascality we are practicing in Nigeria. The senate has the power to summon anyone, even the president.
Wake up..they are not the same.

The minister is the all in all chief executive of the ministries and all agencies under him. The senator is only a discussant in the senate.

A single senators can influence his other colleagues to deal with a minister... grin Senators are like a pack of wolves... they are a unit that communicate with themselves regularly... while ministers are like cougars/pumas, they are lone rangers and one puma cannot challenge a pack of aggressive wolves... cool
lol funny...do you know how many senators write letters of referrals to ministers hoping for recognition and contracts for their keens?

One minister alone keeps in regular touch and buys the loyalty of more than 60% of the senators who are in fact, businessmen
PoliticsRe: Who Is More Powerful...a Minister And A Senator??? by CACAWA(m): 2:41pm On Nov 28, 2015

you Don't get it. A Senator can call a minister to order But a minister cannot do same. A Senator would have to Okay the budget of a minister before it would be approved. A Senator can call for the sack of a minister.
all the stuffs you wrote is about the powers of the senate and not a single senator. No single senator can call a minister to order...ask yourself what happened to Amaechi who many senators stood against? He wasn't even a minister then. A single senator is just a normal public servant...

And if you forcibly and wrongly want to ascribe the power of the entire senate to just one senator, then you can also add that because constituency can recall a senator, then it means the groundnut seller in his constituency is more powerful than a senator.

You can only arrest someone that committed a crime... a group of senators can summon a minister just for incompetence alone and vote that he be removed of his ministerial duties.... cool

I repeat you can only arrest someone that committed a crime
a senator is different from the senate or group of senators..get that right.

Secondly, no senate can call for the removal of any minister no matter what.

Go and read the constitution.

In fact, in 2003 when el rural called the senate a house of rascals...they did nothing than grumble.

What r u talking

a minister cannot make laws that would abound the whole federation. A Senator is representing his constituency while a minister is merely an employer of government.
a senator alone cannot make any law...the senate is different from a senator, meanwhile, even that comes with professional input from the field which includes the ministry and civil societies. That is why the senate does open hearing before they can come up with laws

one single minister can arrest a senator. Ask ministry of police affairs or minister of justice

Senators are elected... ministers are appointed... election has more power than appointment!
a local govt chairman was also elected, so what is your point?

A minister is more powerful than a senator. A minister represents the president. His opinion makes impact, while a senator needs to team up with majority of his colleagues to make anymeaningfulimpact.

A minister is at par with a state governor...a minister controls several agencies of govt and can determine how much of federal presence any state would feel. Many state governors have to seek approval from ministers before downing any project. For example, to build a road anywhere, you need approval from ministry of environment, ministry of housing, ministry of works and ministry of lands. If a finance minister says NO, you can't even collect state loans. Who controls CBN?

A state has three senators, just one governor, and just one minister.

A minister also controls financial power...all a senator has is his salary and allowance.

Finally, a minister is a principal member of the executive while a senator may not even be a principal member of the senate.

PoliticsRe: Bode George's Wife Rejected As NDLEA Acting Chairman by CACAWA(m): 9:56pm On Nov 27, 2015
The so called senior officers are wrong, Roli is not just a secretary, she is the Director General...Head of all the directors. in the case of EFCC, there is no DG.

Besides their argument that she is not a staff but a political appointee is baseless.

If a minster resigns and there is a minister of state, who takes over in acting capacity?

If what they are clamouring for is that the new head of NDLEA should come from the core staff, then it is sensible, not the gibberish I just read up there.
PoliticsRe: Suggest Ways To Free Nnamdi If The Court Fails by CACAWA(m): 3:17pm On Nov 27, 2015
Truth is that the offence he committed is not bailable ... treason and arson conspiracy against the state...

Almustapha spent 14years in prison while his case was only in the high court...imagine what would have happened if Fashola went ahead to appeal in court of Appeal up to supreme court...automatic life sentence before the final death by hanging.

Yet, that was Al-mustapha against Lagos State Govt.

Now we are talking of Nnamdi Kanu against Federal Govt. of Nigeria.

Only if Buhari decides to accept his apology and repentance...but it can never happen...and if a jail break ever happens, he will be gunned down immediately...no one wants that
