I am begining to see why education is a big problem for Boko Haram. Just the few Nigerians who are enlightened is a problem, imagine a situation where all Nigerians are enlightened. Today, people with political interest and financial gains have collected money to support Buhari.

The same people supported GEJ hoping to receive money. By 2019, they will not even have the basic human right to criticise Buhari as majority will run away as they did under Abacha.

Nigeria moving Backward since 1960

Buhari will return Nigeria to the stone age. A man dat has no qualification in an era even bus drivers and foot soldiers are required to have qualification. The country is really regressing.

A leopard never changes its stripes. Nigerians have seen Buhari campaign move from the calamity of Boko Haram and open support for group. Buhari have even gone as far as criticising the Government for using deadly force to stop Boko Haram advances.

Today Buhari have shifted from political islam to political Christianity or better yet using political Islam as the stick and political christianity as the carrot. In this Bizarre application of the carrot and stick approach.

Does Buhari after unleashing this level of violence now intend to rule Nigeria in peace? This would be unattainable. The best route to attain lasting peace is to return GEJ to Aso Rock, anything short of this will mark the end of Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Gen Buhari Insults The Sensibility Of Christians With APC Political Pastors by Calculia: 3:30pm On Jan 04, 2015
1. He Is A Hypocrite And Sanctimonious: Buhari is a self-acclaimed anti-corruption Czar, yet he served under late Sani Abacha without complaining of corruption. In the same period Buhari served as PTF Chairman under Abacha, Nigeria was named the 2nd most corrupt country in the world in 1996 by Transparency International; the most corrupt country in 1997 and 3rdmost country in 1998. Buhari didn’t resign or protest. He dismissed the TI Report with a wave of the hand. Can he do the same if such report says Nigeria is the most corrupt country in 2014? I know that Buhari would protest and call President Jonathan names.

Yet he receives Rivers State loot from Amaechi and Lagos State loot from Tinubu. Gen Buhari uses the loot to Bribe Pastors to deliver sermon in church about his Presidential ambition. APC Political Pastor Mbaka comes to mind, yet Buhari claims to borrow for his Presidential campaign.

Politics / Re: Gen Buhari Insults The Sensibility Of Christians With APC Political Pastors by Calculia: 3:03pm On Jan 04, 2015
APC is making good use of Rivers internally generated revenues and Federal Allocations.

Amaechi needs to stop sharing his Rivers state loot to Catholic Pastors to campaign for igbo votes in Church.

This is simply a case of Gen Buhari religious bigotry gone a step too far.

Call for imposition of Sharia all across the country, even in the mainly Christian south.

Earlier, the former military ruler of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has called for the introduction of 'total' Islamic law across the country. Buhari, who ruled Nigeria from a coup that displaced the democratically elected government of Shagari in December 1983 to his ouster in 1985, told a seminar in Kaduna, northern Nigeria, that the strict Islamic law code known as the Sharia should be introduced in full across Nigeria.

Notwithstanding, that Africa's most populous country has been shaken repeatedly in the past by religious unrest. In February 2000 between 2 000 and 3 000 people were killed by Christian-Muslim riots in Kaduna over the introduction of Sharia.

Northern Nigeria is mainly Muslim but southern Nigeria is mainly Christian and has led criticism of the introduction of Islamic law in a dozen northern states in the past 18 months by the then government of Olusegun Obasanjo.

Gen Buhari categorically stated that;"I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria," Buhari said, "God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country," Buhari said.

"Buhari calls for Sharia in all states, was defended by supporters as simply a call for the full implementation of Sharia in areas where Muslims predominated.

Buhari Politics of Religion an affront to the sensibility of Christians

The comments are the second by Buhari that have courted controversy after he called earlier this year for Muslims to vote at the next presidential elections only for someone who would defend their faith. This was criticised by the press as a call for voting along religious lines, as well as an attack on the current president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who is a Christian. Buhari made the latest comments at a seminar organised by the Supreme Council for Sharia in Nigeria, a newly set up body attended by northern state governments and Islamic scholars.

Buhari categorically said; "It is a legal responsibility which God has given us, within the context of one Nigeria, to continue to uphold the practice of Sharia wholeheartedly ... and to educate non-Muslims that they have nothing to fear," he said.

"What remains for Muslims in Nigeria is for them to redouble their efforts, educate Muslims on the need to promote the full implementation of Sharia law," he went on. - AFP

Buhari recourse to political pastors at the eleventh hour an act of political desperation or ridicule of the Christian faith

In December 17, 2014 APC announces Pastor Yemi Osinbajo as Gen. Buhari's running mate. A Pastor at Olive Tree House of Prayer for All Nations, Banana Island, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. APC not satisfied with this appointment then created a fake twitter @RCCGWorldwide account of RCCG to announce the endorsement of Pastor Yemi by the General Oversea of RCCG Pastor Adeboye.
This move prompted Pastor Adeboye through his verified Facebook page to disowned the Twitter handle and condemns yet another desperate scheme by the APC.

In the Facebook post, Pastor Adeboye said; “On behalf of The Governing Council of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, we would like to inform the public that RCCG is not affiliated nor represented by @rccgworldwide. The church’s official twitter page is @rccghq. The church cherishes the right of all citizens to participate in the democratic process to vote."

We have no doubts that the APC is a Party that attempts to use and parade Pastors as VP candidates to divide or mislead the innocent sheep and Nigerians with cherished Conservative or Liberal views and clear the known perception of Bigotry hanging over the head of its candidate and one time dictactor, General Buhari.

Other statements from the Church's AUTHENTIC twitter Handle Include:@rccghq: “RCCG is not affiliated nor represented by @rccgworldwide.
“The church’s official twitter page is @rccghq.”In no fewer than four other tweets, the church equally faulted the endorsement of Osinbajo by the creators of @rccgworldwide.One of the tweets by the Pastors reads: “RCCG has not celebrated anybody for any position in the forthcoming elections! The #OfficialRCCG handle is @rccghq. Do not be misled.” Another reads: “We are a mission and we do not meddle into politics #RCCG #OfficialRCCG @RCCGworldwide is wrong.”Another said: “#OfficialRCCG – @rccghq We do not denounce neither do we endorse candidacies for elections. We are not a political party.

APC Political Pastor Ejike Mbaka and the church drama

Mr. Mbaka, renowned for his blunt sermons, has a huge followership in the South East of Nigeria, where thousands of Catholics throng to his prayer ground for healing and miracles.

In gospel of Mark 12:17 Jesus Christ himself said; "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." and in John 2:16 Jesus Christ said "Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father's house into a marketplace."

This very vital passage in the bible was not applicable to the Political Pastor Ejike Mbaka, who devoted his entire new years sermon to the condemnation of authority that he vocally endorsed only weeks back. Political Pastor Mbaka in his entire sermon ranted about material things and money with no mention of the thing of the spirit.

Ejike Mbaka stated: "When the Goodluck met Yar’Adua, the Yar’Adua had a bad luck and died. Before you know it, the Goodluck met our oil and the oil had a bad luck and poured away, before we knew it, the Goodluck met our naira, our naira had a bad luck."

Further Ejike Mbaka argued that:"The Christmas season that should be a good luck time became a bad luck time for our Nigerians, forgetting that very soon, from 3rd January, the children will go back to school and the parents are going to pay school fees. From where? Are they going to use their urine to pay? (Shout of NO from the congregation). Even if they are going to use their urine, you have to drink, but where is the good water? Are they going to use their stool to pay the school fees of their children? (Shout of NO from the congregation).
You have to eat well to defecate."

From this extract of the APC Political Pastor , it is clear he had entertained the fantasy of monetary reward following his earlier endorsement of GEJ, only to deliver the new year sermon in disappointment after it became clear that GEJ was a man of integrity and offers no bribe. The support GEJ enjoys from all well meaning Nigerians are free and not bought.

APC and Igbokwe are not getting out of this one that easy. The request of Ndiigbo are lawful and a fundamental aspect of human rights.

In the Nigeria constitution, it falls under "freedom to association,Freedom of Belief and Religion, Freedom of Opinion and Information, Right of Peaceful Assembly and Association and Right to Participate in Government and in Free Elections.

Igbos have not been given their fair share in the day to day running of their Lagos State. Lagos is a City State created for all Nigerians and sustained by all Nigerians. Y is the government dominanted by a single ethnic group and not reflective of the multi-ethnic character of the state?

This is the problem that was raised by the NCSN and must be address in the next dispensation of Government in Lagos. Lagos is a state and not a region, it is multi-ethnic and not homogeneous or solely yoruba and this multi-ethnic character must be reflected in the governance of the city state, for the sake of equity and all inclusive government.

Nigeria's unity is a settled issue. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL. We are Nigerians and Nigeria is ours. Every single part of Nigeria belong to NIGERIANS.

Those that sow the seed of discord in the name of ethnic plurality and religious fundamentalism will be defeated by the hard earned unity of Nigeria. Souls were avoidably lost in a regrettable civil war to sustain the unity of this great nation. The loss of those souls must not be in vain.

LAGOS STATE aka EKO aka LAS GIDI is a reflection of Nigeria's strength and unity. Lagos was created as a gathering point of NIGERIANS from every nook and cranny of our beautiful nation. In Lagos state, it is difficult to differentiate people based on their ethno religious nationality. LAGOS IS OWNED BY NIGERIANS. The tribal homogeneity of Lagos disappeared with the end of the civil war and the declaration of NO VICTOR, NO VANQUISHED.

Those of you threatening mayhem against Igbos are not aware of how complicated the task will be. You don't understand that Nigeria's unity supersedes spurious ethnic claims. What you seek has been settled decades ago. IT CAN NEVER, I repeat, IT CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. The moment you start it is the moment you will face the wrath of the Living and the Dead.

NIGERIA WAS SIGNED AND STAMPED WITH BLOOD. YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DUMP YOUR ETHNIC BIGOTRY AND ACCEPT EVERY NIGERIAN AS YOUR BROTHER OR SISTER IRRESPECTIVE OF TRIBE.

I cannot argue with this. Lagos Government must reflect the predominant multi-cultural chracter of Lagos State and Nigeria.

Sentimental fool. Can you put aside the 'support my kinsman by all means' bigotry for a minute and see what needs to be seen? Do you think I have time for the Yoruba bigots waternogeteneny engages here? Big no !!! Yet my point remains that "those who come to equity must come with clean hands". You cannot be shouting "Marginalisation" without acknowledging your own behaviour which makes you hard to trust. When Yoruba bigots insult Igbos here 24/7 then be my guest to remind them that their behaviour may have made it difficult for Igbos to trust them with power when a Yoruba is seeking political office in Anambra or Abia State.

You need to stop looking at everything childishly. I am a Lagosian and a proud Yoruba. I will comment if some wish to play the usual marginalisation card deceitfully and dishonestly. You are not mature or objective enough to learn from waht others are saying. Look at the part I quoted below from one of my previous posts on this thread to note why it is incumbent on the Igbos, as those seeking the support of others, to demonstrate that charity begins at home. You a big fool and an egocentric tw1t if the point I am making is not clear. Carry on with the vainglorious and pugnacious attitude to everything related to engaging other Nigerians. I don't know the manner of idiocy that prevents you from understanding the simple concept of how it is those who want something from others who have the greater onus of making concilliatory effort to get what they want. Mumu.

Now who is opening a conversation with abuse? People like u provoke reaction and then turn around to base a senseless arguement on that reaction.

So, far ur reaction is predictable becos most yorubas have developed a sense of entitlement with regards to Lagos Governorship or Politics. This is very much so, to the detriment of the multi-ethnic and linguistic character of Lagos as a state.

What igbos are requesting is not unreasonable since they make a sizeable contribution to the state budget via heavy taxation and have been resident in the state from conception as the capital of Nigeria.

They own a sizeable chunk of the land mass that they bought and have even built upon. They are only asking to participate in the governance of their state. If Obama can be President of America, i dont see the big deal here.

The fellow you quoted is the typical Igbo e-warrior you find on Nairaland. I assure you that not all Igbos reason that way, but the majority on this forum do.

They have no respect whatsoever for any other tribe in Nigeria, yet they wonder why they are not loved by all.
Infact the Igbo belief is that other tribes owe them support over all issues. So you see them gloating over Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Gowon, and Saro Wiwa threads.

What they have not done is to tell us what they have done to merit their demands of our support, that would justify their claims of betrayal.

I am yet to see a migrant tribe that so passionately despises the natives as they do. This attitude is replicated all over Nigeria and other African states.

Again u convienently left out the yoruba e-warriors posting Biafra sick children pics up and down this site.

Reminisce, back in 1960's, the Igbo thrived in the North. Then, they began to over-ride the land-owners.
