Wetin concern me concern Awolowo for this debate now?

Bottom line is I, and several others that I know who are not Yorubas simply find the idea of fighting over other people's land laughable.

Unnecessary aggression (not talking about you personally) gets nobody anywhere. Especially in Africa. Igbos will end up with a nasty bloody nose, and nobody wants that.

Good u have started getting sense now. Keep speaking for yourself and Lagos remains a no mans land as long as Nigeria exist and if yoruba want we will help them to burn down that place and we will all die together in the inferno.

We built it with our money and it belongs to us.

I certainly do not speak for others, but as a matter of public record, no one has heard Hausas or people of other backgrounds threatening to fight over Lagos.

This is an entirely Igbo project, and good luck to them. But they should not try to co-opt others into their own machinations.

That is right, the same way Awolowo was killing three million igbos over wanting to remain in their nation.

U cant cut your cake and have it.

Others are already part of the project. General Buhari state categorically that Lagos belongs to all Nigerians

So when did other Nigerians (Edos, Hausas, Igbiras etc) meet and tell you they're willing to fight alongside Igbos against Yorubas over Lagos.

Nigerians, except Igbos, recognise Lagos as a Yoruba territory. If your people want to fight over Lagos, you're on your own.

Why do benin people(those with yoruba parents) think they speak for other tribe in the state? Speak for dat small local government area called Benin becos once Nigeria finish everybody go answer their papa name.

This idea that Igbos 'control' commerce in Nigeria is yet another chest beating nonsense that bears no correlation to reality.

If you say Igbos are dominant in trading, yes, one can let that pass. But 'commerce?' that's nonsense.

Igbos do not control Nigerian economy. Fact.

We know u are a yoruba dude, stop trying hard to pass off as a transgendered. mugu!

Go back and read your entire source again. I told you why you cannot brag about Lagos in this particular instance for the south east, but I'll use your source anyway: "The South Easterners plus their cousins across the Onitsha bridge control commerce in all parts of Nigeria and are thus largely employed."

Abeg, if they want to keep lagos, let them have it, but divide the country. We are wasting too much time as it is, getting no where.

Wat is Lagos, will it feed the whole south west if Nigeria no longer exist? Wat is Abuja without Nigeria?

Look, Ndiigbo will raise architects that will build modern edifice in our cities in the east.

I am personally not scared of anything, i have seen the so called lagos and honestly, it is not even qualified to be classed as a ghetto with the exception of some standard houses in VI, Lekki and selected location. Let them keep it as long as we are no longer under the delusion/deception of one Nigeria to steal our resources and money that we invest in those places.

Imagine the tax being collected alone in Lagos and wat that money can do in the east.

Black race dont have to claim any kind of Brotherhood, black skin does not equal brotherhood.

Just see wat blacks are doing in South Africa. I would have thought they would protect the Africans from White and Asians who dominate the social economic/ political sphere of life. The white population wont threaten them with the added African numbers.

No, the cowards cannot step up to the superior White and Asians.

Yorubas are a total embodiment of everything wrong with the black race. Hatred for ones kind, see the way Nairaland shun out tribalistic post on a daily with serious support from yoruba posters.

Even GeneralBuhari a Northern poster on this site was so shocked, that he once said "nairaland is owned by a white man."

Tragedy hits family as man kills wife during scuffle 0
BY OUR REPORTER ON April 11, 2015 NATIONAL
By MOSHOOD ADEBAYO lalasticlala

A middle-aged man, Akintunde (other name withheld) has allegedly killed his wife in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital following an irreconcilable differences between the couple.

The incident occurred at Ijemo-Agbadu, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of the state capital.

The suspect last Thursday allegedly hit the head of his late wife, a food vendor against the wall during a quarrel.

The couple who lived in a room apartment were fond of quarreling until last Thursday when the incident happened. The late wife fainted after her husband hit her head against the wall.

A neighbour who spoke with Crime Watch Today on anonymity said Akintunde who had thought his wife only fainted, left her in that condition and ran away. “He later called a brother in-law on phone to intimate him of the incident, asking him to go and pick her sister’s corpse in the house.”

While confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, a Deputy Superintendent, said it was the late wife’s brother that reported the incident to the police.

“We later went to the couple’s house where we met the corpse and later took it to the mortuary and performed postmortem on the body. Akintunde has been arrested.

“He is currently with the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID),” he said.

The PPRO said the murder suspect would be arraigned as soon as preliminary investigations were concluded.

Every Government from Gowon, to OBJ, to IBB, Abacha and Buhari have restructure NNPC to gain access that Nigerians dont have and ended up looting the place.

I dont believe the restructuring is for Nigerians but for the would be looters of NNPC.

When majority of people haven't collected their PVC excluding Northern and SW and Jega announced election was ready to go that's when i knew that man have been compromised and most likely bribed to rig APC. Thus far, based on his behaviors and announcement throughout this elections, he not only confirmed my suspicious but actually intensified it.
I honestly don't blame anyone but GEJ, when they told him to get read of him, he didn't listen. He wanted to be nice. Honestly, I love GEJ but he was too nice of a person.

Stolen:
Jega is not rigging the elections becos of PVC but yet people are caught on camera thumb printing ballot papers multiple times to be counted as vote.

People use the card readers but are not allowed to vote after registration is sent to inec head quarters computer, becos they are told the card reader failed to work.

In this election, the number of voters and votes are always evenly matched despite low turn out in places APC WINS. Either Jega is voting for the dead and people in their houses or he registered extra numbers of people that dont exit for his APC party and that is why they are thumb printing ballot papers multiple times.

Jega, Jega, Jega, Imo will be the fall of u.

GEJ allowed it. Jega did not have to be involved in the elcetion that he already organised. People protested to remove Jega just before the election, since he was compromised with APC, GEJ did nothing. That is not the way to play politics.

U remove Jega from Inec, their plans and rigging would have been defeated as investigation are carried out and the voting process secured, be removing Jega access and restricting his fellow northern plotters. GEJ is the author of his own demise.

The only thing that can be done now is for all the elction materia and thumb print to be investigated by international forensic experts.

MY COMMITMENT TO NIGERIA

Preamble

Every country has its ‘lost generation’. Some were stolen away by war, some by economic downturns, and some by governments. Nigeria is perhaps the only country stolen by a cabal of political Mafias, merely for power, money, leisure and privilege. When the British administrators lowered the Union Jack in Lagos on October 1, 1960, Nigeria was Africa’s greatest hope. Its pool of talent mass of fertile land, and its newly discovered oil wealth, promised economic transformation and the role of leading the then independent African nations and those who were still struggling for freedom, under different forms of colonialism, to eventually lead the African Continent, onto the global stage.
Now, over fifty years of independence and despite our vast wealth – abundant natural and human resources, at home and abroad, we as a nation continue to struggle with the most basic needs (food, shelter, water, security sanitation, and electricity, etc. As a nation, we are paralyzed by wide spread poverty, endemic institutionalised corruption; high levels of unemployment; a near total collapse of our educational system and facilities, collapse and decaying health and ineffective social services systems, chaotic transportation and communications systems; and other basic but essential infrastructure; less than adequate institutions of government at all levels, resulting to break down of law and order, institutionalized insecurity to life and property; and weak, fragile and unstable economy, with non-functional financial institutions, etc.
Today, hospitals and universities are struggling with obsolete skills of by-gone centuries; insurgency controls large chunks of the Nigerian territories, kidnapping is now a profession and a cottage industry. For the little and common man and women who helped build this nation, things have never been so bad for these fellows. But for the corrupt politicians and big moneys bags, things have never been better.
Many Nigerians have completely lost faith in the country’s ability to govern itself. Nigerians have fundamentally, lost faith in the leaders at the helm of the nation’s affairs. The lack of confidence in the system and its leaders, erodes democratic principles thus further jeopardizing the country’s future.
Nigerians of goodwill, are angered by failures of corrupt and poor leadership. They are frustrated by economic policies that did not deliver on its promises. Nigerians are therefore impatient and want to regain their lost rights. Nigerians are worn out by conflicts, all over the country. Nigerians are now striving for a fresh start. This start must come from a new team, new ideas, that are committed to the promotion of acceptable and sustainable reforms. The mood now in Nigeria is changing as people begin to speak out more confidently against corruption, human rights abuses, and are not afraid to criticize and critique the unpopular policies of government. Throughout Nigeria there is ongoing debate on what is critical to the future of the country: CHANGE! POSITIVE CHANGE!!
What is certain in Nigeria today is that the ebtire country is in need of being fixed. The truth of the matter is that Nigeria today has all the indices for both success and failure. Skewing the role of the State towards serving special interests, dividing its citizens along ethnic and religious lines, trapping whole generations into avoidable poverty through educating the young with basically, no skill, etc., are all attempt to perpetually one set of corrupt leaders in power, forever, these are the indices of a failed state. However, assuming the will to power, by this other Nigeria, to remove the incompetent, corrupt leaders, with no progressive ideals, is the success side. The making of this competent team has become more urgent and imperative, but this can only be achieved through resilience and courage. I, Muhammadu Buhari have now come for the rescue. This is success by design. It will overcome our failure by design matrix.
The challenge, and choice facing all Nigerians at home and abroad is whether Nigerians have enough will and courage to unite, and resolve to radically move the nation forward –not looking backward to practices of a failed past, but building bridges to the positive fatherhood, motherhood, brother and sisterhood of the future! Again, my teaming supports are already leading the way to this possibility.
As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in order to provide functional services and secure the good of the individual Nigerian and his or her family.
We are here commited to Change Nigeria:

READ: Buhari’s Emotional Letter to Delegates at the APC Presidential Primaries

December 10, 2014 is our Primaries Day. February 2015 will bring be our Presidential elections. As you know, the general trust level of politics, politicians and political leaders, is at an all?time?low. One may ask why? And we can as well understand why! After years of broken promises, hyper-corruption, the feeling that politicians have become too remote from the people, etc., it is no wonder that Nigerians have completely lost faith in the country’s ability to govern itself not just because of the problems facing the country, but the lack of faith in the present set of leaders at the helm of affairs.

The challenge, facing all of us as Nigerians is whether there is enough will and courage amongst us as citizens to unite, commit and resolve to radically reform, modernise and move the nation forward. I Muhammadu Buhari have resolved that the task ahead of me is that of Securing our Nation and Prospering our people –not looking backward to the failed policies and promises of the past. As I noted before, it is no longer a question of choice but that of the will and courage.

This document sets out our side of the bargain: the things I as your future president, want to do to change Nigeria for the better. I will however warn you all: I cannot do this alone. Each one of you and I must work together to get our economy on the right track, mend our broken lives, infrastructure, institutions, and the overall society. You must help me to reform our rotten political system, by getting involved, taking responsibility, and working together as a team.

I, Muhammadu Buhari believe that our politity, is broken. Our nation is in urgent need of a fundamental political reform. This requires honesty, integrity and forthrightness in order to improve governance, so as to make it transparent and accountable to the all Nigerian. Make me your Presidential candidate in both the Primaries and the Presidential elections.

THIS IS HOW I, WITH YOUR HELP, WILL FIX IT:
Politics and Governance
On Politics and Governance:

I, Muhammadu Buhari, believe that our politics is broken. Our nation urgently needs fundamental political reform and improvement in governance more transparency and accountable. If you nominate me in December, 2014 and elect me in February 2015, my administration will:

Initiate action to amend the Nigerian Constitution with a view to devolving powers, duties, and responsibilities to states in order to entrench true Federalism and the Federal spirit;
Strengthen INEC to reduce, if possible, eliminate electoral malpractices in Nigerian’s political life;
Attract the best and brightest of our sons and daughters into our politics and public service by aggressive recruitment of private sector people, academics, and professionals within Nigeria and in the Diaspora through internships, fellowships, executive appointments, and special nomination to contest elective offices;
Prevent the abuse and misuse of Executive, Legislative and Public offices, through greater accountability, transparency, strict, and implementable anti-corruption laws, through strengthening and sanitising the EFCC and ICPC as independent entities;
Amend the Constitution to remove immunity from prosecution for elected officers in criminal cases;
Restructure governance for a leaner, more efficient, and adequately compensated public service sector, while promoting effective participation of the private sector for more robust job creation programmes to employ the teaming youth.;
Require full disclosure in media outlets, of all government contracts over N100m prior to award and during implementation at regular intervals;
Reform and Strengthen the Justice System for efficient administration and dispensation of justice with the creation of special courts for accelerated hearing of corruption, drug trafficking, terrorism and similar cases of national importance;
Fully enforce the Freedom of Information Act l so that government held data sets can be requested and used by the public and then such data sets be publish on regular basis;
Amend the Constitution to require Local governments to publish their meeting minutes, service performance data, and items of spending over N10M.

Where is that Buhari APC electoral manifesto? This next four years is accountability, accountability and world wide accountability.

We are in democracy and a two party system. It is a no brainier for everybody to join the ruling party, who hold them accountable?

I am even more PDP now than ever. PDP will produce the next Igbo President in 2019, if we continue to be united and speak with one voice.

We also need to speak to the world on the fraud that is GMB via social media.

Buhari said he will not loot Nigeria, so let us watch him and his government closely.

Any looting, the incorruptible is spoilt rotten. The world must hear of this. grin

PDP must maintain their Senate numbers and House of Rep Numbers. PDP must offer an alternative to those swinging Senators and Reps when they realise that Buhari is a Fraud.

PDP must maintain their Governors and take the up coming Governors elections very seriously. It makes sense for Obiano to join PDP rather than APC.
In the opposition a brutal former dictator who is clueless and failed on every point of his manifesto, is an open door to Aso Rock in 2019.
Ndiigbo get organised with the mainstream, gobal and social media and recognise that this is your chance.

Op can you please stop being so danm emotional in your topics like a woman..that was how you were going about ihejirika must become abia governor even when it was obvious he was not contesting...control your emotions like a man

U sound the same.

@ OP,by my political calculation, maintaing the opposition momentum of PDP will be crucial when people realise just how big a fraud APC actually is.

When people dont see 24/7 electricity or #1 being equal to 1pound or all the steady allowance for unemployed graduate and all the scams that APC relied upon to gain power, it will be bye bye at the next ballot.

We have only to demand a free and fair election as GEJ has instituted, with the world powers behind us.

Be prepared cos we the northers will unite and vote for a Yoruba president.maybe with an igbo vice president and you know what it means. You will get less votes than what you got in the south west in this election. Maybe we can give you a chance in 2023

A story for the gods. A power psychopath like u born to rule, idontblvit!

Igbos will be the last people to vote APC IN THE SOUTH EAST.

We will be sticking with PDP ahead of 2019, if Buhari serve out GEJ tenure. The only other alternative is APGA.

Igbo President or Biafra wil be actualised by 2019.
