The wife of a Lagos State University (LASU) lecturer, Mrs Kafayat Oyekunle, who revealed that she was pregnant for her bricklayer lover, Fatai Alimi has given birth to a baby girl for her lover.

According to reports, the said Mrs Oyekunle, was also living with Alimi as his wife in their one room apartment in Igando area of Lagos despite the comfort of the home of her embattled husband.

This was confirmed by Kafayat who said that her embattled husband has left them alone after he discovered that she was pregnant for her lover. Fatai Alimi was arraigned in court for allegedly snatching her from her husband, Suraju Oyekunle in Lagos, Nigeria. The 36-year-old woman made the revelation when she went to the court to bail Alimi from custody and met her embattled husband there.

She also said her decision to dump her husband and move into Alimi’s home was due to her inability to bear another child after 13 years she had lived with Oyekunle.

She revealed that after their only son was born 12 years ago, they had tried all they could to bear another child to no avail until a few months ago when she met Alimi and she immediately became pregnant for him.

Kafayat denied she was abducted and said it was a decision she took voluntarily because Oyekunle was not taking care of her.

She said since she met Alimi, things had changed in her life and she now had rest of mind.
She also revealed that her family was aware of the development and in support of her decision.

She said Alimi was better in everything despite his poor status in the society.

The 34-year-old Alimi was arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly snatching Kafayat.The incident happened in Igando area of Lagos, Nigeria, where Oyekunle resided with Kafayat and their only son.

Kafayat was allegedly so much in love with Alimi that she packed all her property and moved into the bricklayer’s small apartment in an undisclosed place in the same Igando with their only male child.

Kafayat had married Oyegunle for 13 years and the marriage produced
their only son before she met Alimi and moved out of her matrimonial home on 15 October, 2016.

Kafayat told her neighbours that she decided to consolidate on the new relationship by moving into Alimi’s apartment when her husband travelled.

When her husband returned from his trip and did not find his wife and son, he started making inquiries and neighbours informed him that his wife had moved into Alimi’s house as his new wife.

Oyekunle went straight and reported the matter at Igando police pision who trailed Alimi and eventually arrested him at a construction site in Igando where he had gone to work and charged him to court.

Reports have it that when the embattled lecturer discovered that she was actually pregnant for Alimi, he stopped coming to court and the matter was struck out.

9.Kwara state should tell us the state of our much celebrated, ultra modern, multi-million naira Asphalt plant purchased few months. We need to know if it's another scam as our road are full or well-holes and not just pot-holes (come to Tanke)

In all, Kwarans are saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

The protest was well organised and received by patriotic citizens of Kwara State. People from the 16 Local Government came out to support us and say no to this government.

The procession started from the Stadium gate up to Unity Roundabout where Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Mall. Omar Aiyelabegan and Gbadeyan Olawale James addressed reporters and protesters.

The interesting side to it is that protesters that gathered since 9.30am refuse to disperse as at the time of writing this report.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force displayed uncommon level of professionalism.

We thank you all as we together reclaim our state. The process is for sure living and unstoppable.

Contrary to rumours making the rounds in most media that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Babatunde Adeyeye Ogunwusi is planning to unveil a new Olori in person of one Emmanuella Ropo, i can authoritatively report that the revered monarch is not making any such plans, more so, as the person involved is already a mother. The management of llorin Muslim Cemetery, on Friday, rejected the corpse of a 47-year-old civil servant, Mr. Salami Adekunle, who was killed by lightening in Oro, lrepodun Local Government Area of Kwara. Dr. Abubakar Aliagan, the Coordinator in charge of the cemetery, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in llorin.

According to him, the cemetery management unanimously rejected the burial of the deceased following an instruction that the corpse should not undergo the normal Islamic prayers and bath. Aliagan said while the deceased was described as a practising Muslim during his life time, Muslims in his vicinity refused to accept that his death was in act of God.

He said the performance of traditional rituals on Adekunle’s corpse after his death was unacceptable to the management of the cemetery, adding that the burial of the deceased in the Muslim Cemetery must also be in line with Islamic tenets. “If the late Salami will sleep in our Muslim cemetery, we have to do it in line with lslamic rites,’’ Aliagan said. Adekunle was on Thursday struck to death by lightening during a downpour.

The deceased who hails from lnisa in Osun was, until his death, a staff of the Registry Department at the Kwara College of Education, Oro. The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Adesola Adewoye, said the family of the deceased would meet and decide on the next line of action to take on the burial arrangement.

A group, Umuahia Youth Movement, has given Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, 24 hours to dethrone His Royal Majesty, Israel Okwu Kanu, the paramount ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu in Umuahia, and father of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

The youths on Sunday said failure to do so will force them to take the law into their own hands.

In a letter by Ifeanyi Okwudili, President; Kasarachi Ubani, Vice President and Anayo Ofor, Secretary, the youths said for failing to rein in his son, which led to their businesses being paralyzed, the royal father was not fit to continue in office.

The memo also copied President Muhammadu Buhari, the Inspector General of Police, the Department of State Service, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives and South East Governors Forum.

It reads: “With tears and sorrow, the Umuahia Youth Movement respectfully write to request the dethronement of Nnamdi Kanu’s father as a traditional ruler of our clan.

“It beats our imagination that a man who calls himself a Royal father and an Elder could not call his son to order but rather encourage him in his madness that have plunged Umuahia city to a great crisis today.

“Sir, recall that Umuahia have been the most peaceful capital city in Nigeria to live and do business but just because of one man, we are today facing the wrath of the Federal government of Nigeria.

“Our shops, markets, schools, churches and all banks have been shut down. For the past three days we have been indoors for fear of been attacked by the military just because of one man whose father is our traditional ruler.

In a bid to cure a strange headache, a business man in Sango Ota, Ogun state, identified as Oladimeji Isiaka has lost about N25 million to suspected fraudsters.

Punch revealed that the businessman sold his five cars and house to raise the money. When Isiaka realised he has been defrauded, he reported the case to the Zone 2 police command, Onikan, Lagos.

This led to the arrest of five members of the gang at their camp in Ibadan. They were identified as Akeem Alabi, Yetunde Mustapha, Alasela Ottun, Ibrahim Jimoh and Oyegbila Lateef.

A source disclosed to the police that Isiaka was an in-law of Ottun and had sought his counsel sometime in October 2016 when he had the headache, which defied medications.

The source said: “The man was into oil business. He called Alasela (Ottun), for help. The in-law called Yetunde (Mustapha) to pray for him. From there, she passed information about his case to her boyfriend and they started demanding money from him to cure his headache, which they said was a spiritual attack. They eventually collected N25m from him. The man sold all his property, including five vehicles and a building. He also lost his business and became bankrupt. When they knew that the game was up, they threatened to kill him if he told anyone. The man wrote a petition, which the police followed up, and they were arrested.”

One of the arrested fraudsters, Lateef revealed that although Isiaka was cured of the head which was God’s doing but he craved for wealth, due to this we decided to exploit him.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, disclosed that they recovered fake currencies, charms and fetish items from their shrine. Adding that, the suspects will be arraigned in court.
