The truth about this matter is that Mr Joshua return d money because he knows that if he did not do so it will backfire on him. He will b penalize at work for collecting double payment from federal government. So d earlier he return the money the better for him.

Look at it from this angle, why did he wait till this time b4 he return back the money, why can't he return the first month month salary he was paid why now.

So to me he did what he did to avoid wahala not that he dey holy.... I rest my case for now!

FamilyRe: I Lost My Job, Now I Am Losing My Dignity At Home by Callmedondee(m): 9:27pm On Jul 02, 2017
mylander:
Please advise.

I was in an employment of a bank until recently when my employment was terminated.

When I had the job, I took my family welfare as my priory. My wife and our only son were faring good, I always ensure we do not lack the basic necessities. Meanwhile, my wife did not have a job then. All the house upkeep expenses including the cost of running her postgraduate program were on me and I felt comfortable bearing the costs as the breadwinner of the family.

After I lost my job in the bank some month ago, my wife got an employment with the state govt. With her little income, she has been able to assist in bearing some expenses, even she pays for fuelling our car sometimes.

The drama has now started in the house and our marriage is on the verge of breaking up.

Any little issue, my wife will turn it to quarrel, different abuses. Funny enough, she would be referring to the financial supports she has been rendering in the house. This is a woman that did not work at all for 2 years and I was bearing all the expenses with pleasure. Now she had only supported me for about 4months now and she's is misbehaving.

To my surprise, my wife maintains a record in which she records every penny she spends in the house including food items and fuel. With this, she always ask me when will I pay him back.

At the instance of a simple argument/misunderstanding, my wife would be boasting of 'I paid for this, I paid for that....' 'If not for my support since you had problem at work......'

Please advise me, I am getting fed-up with the situation, my wife had changed totally.
If I should say I understand how u are feeling bro, it means am lying because I am not in ur shoe. But the only advise I can give to u is that don't fight her, just KEEP CALM! And BE PATIENT! All will be well. Just try n find something to be doing which will b bringing income for u if not much. At least as a man if na only food u can provide... It's enough my dear brother.

I wish u well in all ur endeavors...

NYSCNysc Orientation Camping: A Brooding For Corruption? by Callmedondee(op): 8:59pm On May 22, 2017
Since 1975 when NYSC was created in order to foster unity among Nigerians, the programme has recorded great success and would do much more. However, notably, there has not been any form of scrutiny and watchfulness on how the billions of naira the Federal Government pushes yearly to such gigantic project. This is because no matter what kind of corruption that goes on there, the fact remains that its achievements supersede any form of corruption therein, if actually there is any.

For anyone who has been to NYSC orientation camp, knows that things are pretty much expensive there. For example, the bucket that you could get at the rate let's say three hundred naira in town, would be sold at the rate of six hundred naira in the camp. Dear friend, at first and last, you feel that the seller cheated and exploited you. But that is not true. What is the reason behind such exploitation by price-hike?

The reason for the hike of prices of commodities in NYSC orientation camps is because of the exorbitant registration fees the traders pay for selling their goods during the three weeks. However, that isn't the focus. The focus is - Where does all the monies that the traders pay go to? They go to the Camp Director's office. Then when the monies get to the Camp Director, where next does it go? To NYSC account or for the maintenance of the Camp? It is only them that know. So many cock-and-bull stories have it that the all fund acquired during the orientation camp is used for camp maintenance. If that is true, what about the money the is usually released for the maintenance of every camp before the orientation programme begins?

Notwithstanding, In a time like this, NYSC is fortunate to have a hardworking and sincere DG, Brig. Gen. S.Z Kazaure, a man who is very much meticulous to doing his job. But most of these state NYSC officials are using NYSC as a platform to enrich themselves.

For example (firstly), the last last Borno Orientation Camp that was held at Fanisua, Jigawa State (16th February to 8thMarch, 2017), over 20 camera men where there, and over 50 traders registered to mount their tent. And the average registration fee is #12, 000, and be sure that some are more than. After, the camp where did the Camp Director take the money to? With many incidents that happened in the orientation camp at Fanisua, the Camp Commandant, one Capt. Olanrinwaju, the Camp Director, Mr. Babajo Sale and the State Coordinator, Mr. Salma Muktar, were almost at loggerhead. There was a leak of information in the camp that the Camp Director went home with over 1.3 million naira. And the Camp Commandant was scolded for inflating the numbers of the soldiers that were deployed to the camp, in order to collect additional allowance.

Secondly, the supposed #2, 500 transportation fare of Corp members going to Borno State, was given to the State Coordinator, but he deliberately travelled home with the money to see his family, and left the Corp members stranded on their way to serve their Father's Land. Was it not for the persistent internal complaints laid by the corp members especially to the DG, the State Coordinator couldn't have released such huge benefit given to them. So, calculate #2,500 times all the corp members that went Borno State. This incident is however not peculiar to one orientation camp.

What else should we say, about those in charge of Store house in the camp? Should we talk about the missing of slaughtered cows? Or to talk about keeping two cows resting in the field, only to find one the next morning? Time wouldn't permit. Nonetheless, this week, there would be another orientation camp in all parts of the country. That of Borno State would be at Katsina. The State coordinator; and the newly appointed Camp Director, a former Commissioner in a certain State in Nigeria, who could not find much way in politics and has decided to find a solace in NYSC, are tirelessly preparing for the camp. Who knows what will happen?

Wherefore, we call on the father of all corp members, Brig. Gen. S.Z. Kazaure to checkmate properly all activities of these money-hungry men so as to ease the plight of corp members especially those deployed to Borno State.

NYSCDear PCM Pls Don't Be Deceive To Come To Borno State by Callmedondee(op):
Potential corp members pls if u know u dont wanna waste your service year pls dont come to Borno state, because the government, NCCF, MCAN and NYSC are liars...they will deceive u to come to Borno state and after they will abandon u to ur fate.

Dear prospective NYSC Batch A Corp Member, The following are the challenges Corp members are facing in Borno state and that is the same thing u also will face when u come;

1. You are paid 1k per month as state allowance but u end up spending nothing less than 4k or more per week. And they will tell u d 1k allowee is still previlege.

2. No suficient accommodation for Corp members.

3.High cost of house rent from 90k upward and all on 19k allowee.

4. Discrimination of religion if you are a Christian and a single it will be very hard for u to get accommodation here.

5. High cost of living all on 19k

6. No meaningful ppa

If u have opportunity to redeploy pls do because;

Borno state is not ready to receive Corpers!
Borno state did not need Corpers!
They don't regards corpers!

Go to where ur safety is secure and where u can benefit and gain something from ur service year. Cos we here are regretting our own action and we dont want u to fall as victim too.!

THE GOVERNOR WILL COME TO THE CAMP IN PERSON OR SEND HIS AIDES AND LIED TO U AND AFTER THAT DAY THAT WILL BE THE LAST DAY U WILL SEE OR HEAR FROM THEM.

I am a serving corp member here if u are doubting this information, u can call me, so that I can link u up with other corp members +2349064433505

Dear prospective NYSC Batch A Corp Member, I want to use this oppurtunity to insight u about what corpers are experiencing in Borno state. The hardship here is more than what I can describe... Imagine as a Corp member servicing in a state decleared as a war zone and not being encourage with something meaningful by the state government. The following are the challenges Corp members are facing here;

1. You are paid 1k per month as state allowance but u end up spending nothing less than 4k per week.

2. No suficient accommodation for Corp members and high cost of house rent from 90k upward and all on 19k allowee.

3. Discrimination of religion if you are a Christian and a single it will be very hard for to get accommodation here.

NYSCBorno State Is A Scam! Pcm Beware! by Callmedondee(op):
We the Batch B stream 1 Corp members currently serving in Borno state are using this opportunity to warn the PCM about the hardship we are experiencing here in Borno due to the fact that we obey the clarion call to serve our fatherland. And now we are living in agony in the state due to failure of the state government in fulfilling all the promises they made to us in camp. The truth is that there is no proper arrangement made for any corper coming to Borno state.
And Pls don't be deceive by the government, NYSC or any Religion bodies or organizations because they are all liars and scam!

The problem facing us are;

1. No Accommodation for Corp members by the state government.
2. Rejection of Corp members at there Ppa post
3. No state allowance e.t.c.
4. Bias/Tribalism in posting by the NYSC officials.
5. High cost of rent (not affordable for corpers)

This is a piece of advise from the current serving Corp members (Batch B stream I).

NYSC"The Agony Of Internally Displaced Borno Corpers" by Callmedondee(op):
Your Excellency, we hail thee! When we pledge to serve our fatherland, it is truly to defend our unity. We all pray that Nigeria shall be great again and very much better. But trust me, any nation that must be great again must be committed to the welfare of her youths. We were told that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow by our fathers. Maybe that was the standard in their days. But now, the standard has truly changed because it is evident worldwide that youths are leaders from today and from now! Because youths are abreast with this reality, it has become an honour and delight for youths to obey the clarion call to lift our nation high under the sun and in the rain; and with dedication and selfless love if we must build a sustainable Nigeria...

It is the crave of every youth to serve Nigeria! But even amid the desire of fresh Nigerian graduates to serve their fatherland selflessly as corps members of the Nigerian Youth Service Scheme, the initial call to go serve in Borno State has always appeared to prospective corps members as a scary masquerade. Who wouldn't be shocked at first to realized that his call to serve Nigeria is a deployment to Borno State?... Even a toddler in Nigeria understands that Borno State has been the battle front of the War Against Boko Haram since 2009. Mummy thought I had gone crazy when I told her at first that I was going to serve in Borno State. I understood her fears and worries hence dealing with the issues with diplomacy. Nobody would gladly pick up the offer to serve in Borno State at this moment of uncertainty as loved ones will always see a clarion call to serve in Borno State as a suicide mission or a deadly adventure. Boko Haram may not be in camp zero anymore!... But we must accept the reality that they are now on the streets and they now live with us. So the uncertainty is more severe than when they had castles in the Sambisa Forest Camp Zero. However, I'll commend the efforts of the military, the State Government and the Federal Government in ensuring that Borno wakes up from this nightmare.

Haven said that, I think His Excellency, Governor Kasheem Shettima has got to appreciate Borno Corpers for their bravery to accept the solemn call to serve Nigeria in Borno State even when to their parents, it is an adventure of which a peaceful return to mummy and daddy is uncertain because anything can happen. With the news of suicide bombings making the trends on all media platforms, it truly takes a lion heart to answer the call to serve in Borno State. If I were the Governor, I'll go extra miles to making life and service year absolutely comfortable for every Borno Corper. I know the Governor to be a nice State Executive-in-Chief. I know him to be responsive to the agitation of people...and perhaps there are distractions right now and that may be why he hasn't given the right attention to Borno Corpers. I feel his plight and I commend his efforts to restoring sustainable peace in Borno State but I strongly think he needs to do something urgent to alleviate the plights and agony of Borno Corpers.

Several Corps members look so much frustrated right now in town... Its been a bad arrangement for them, especially the recent Batch B's, right from the first day of their orientation exercise in Bauchi State. From bad facilities in their Bauchi camp to what have you... Special appreciation to His Excellency who paid them visit in Bauchi when they relocated them to a better orientation environment. It was a great visit with great promises from accomodation through to N10,500 monthly State stipends. Who wouldn't be motivated to serve in Borno even amidst insurgency after haven been promised maximum security, comfortable accomodation, Good PPAs, and impressive State allowance to augment the NYSC allowee. Following the departure of the governor, several corps members who had filled relocation forms quickly withdrew their forms and saddled their ass for the Uncertain Borno Adventure...

Borno Corpers remained highly motivated until they arrived Maiduguri after the once in a lifetime Bauchi Orientation experience. On arriving Borno, the ancient Borno cock crowed and reality dawn on Batch-B Borno Corps Members. They were launched into the reality that is being faced and endured by the Batch A's. Is it that we shouldn't trust political promises anymore?... It is on getting to Borno State (Maiduguri to be precise) that Corps members realized that Promises made by the Executive Governor (either in person or through representatives) are always political promises that never come to pass...perhaps because the fight against insurgency and IDPs welfare take more of his attention and time. Once again your Excellency, I commend your efforts geared towards restoring normalcy in Borno State. You deserve a Man of the Year Award sir.

But the agony of Borno Corps Members still remain :No Accomodation..., PPA Rejection, N1,000 or no State Allowance..., Zero welfare packages for corps members..., No recognition and honours for outstanding corps members.., no security for selfless corps members and several others you can help me outline...... It's on getting to Borno that corps members realize that THEY ARE ON THEIR OWN! As I speak, we do not only have Internally Displaced Persons in Borno but a chunk of INTERNALLY DISPLACED CORPERS. I guess I should also use this medium to on behalf of the Executive Governor of Borno State call on Humanitarian Agencies to intervene to provide shelter for the so many Internally Displaced Corpers roaming the streets in confusion in a state of uncertainty like Borno. If Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) are provided with accomodation in the MMC, then I make bold to state that INTERNALLY DISPLACED CORPERS also deserve accomodation to be made available to them by the State Government and humanitarian agencies...

At this juncture, I must commend the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) Tudun Wada that has been a helping hand to corps members. I make bold to state that if a fellowship like NCCF is not in Maiduguri, Nigerian Youth Corps Members must have been sleeping on the streets of Maiduguri by now. But with a lodge of just six (7) small rooms and over ninety corps members, your guess is as good as mine as to how many corps members sleep in a room -Over fifteen (15) Nigerian Corps Members. "This is truly what the late music maestro, Feli Kuti described as SUFFERING AND SMILING!". How won't these feeling-betrayed corps members smile amidst suffering when they seem not to have a choice?... Thanks to NCCF once again for helping the government play its role even without any acknowledgement from either the Borno State Governor and his government. We are still expecting Batch B's Stream 2 in Maiduguri by February. And am sure the number of corps members in the NCCF Family Emergency Shelter Intervention house shall be rising to more than two hundred (200). You know what that implies?..., about Twenty (25) Nigerian Corps Members in a room... What better definition can you use to describe INTERNAL DISPLACEMENT... "Dan Allah Ku Yakuri!"...

This is the reality on ground and now is the time for the Executive Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Alhaji Kasheem Shettima to ARISE and take prompt action to ensure the right welfare for selfless Nigerian Corps Members serving the nation in Borno State and also to ensure that no one is professionally marginalized in the welfare packages due to Borno Corps Members. Corps members need emergency accomodation, maximum security, state award recognition for outstanding corps members, good and secure PPA deployments, and every other necessary motivation. Deciding to serve in Borno state in this season of uncertainty is a NOMINATION for award on its own... Borno Corps Members need to be taken serious by the State Government for their bravery! I think the Executive Governor needs to pay a courtesy call to the NCCF Emergency Shelter Intervention Family house in Tudun Wada at night and see for himself how Borno Corpers pack themselves like stock-fish as they try to secure sleeping space. Very soon, when Batch B Stream II finally arrives, perhaps there may be a need for the NCCF leadership to draw up a sleeping roaster for Borno State Corps Members because even as we speak, Borno corpers take turns to have a mid-day nap. Once again, "Dan Allah Ku Yakuri!"...

I have been informed that the Executive Governor has provided accomodation for Doctors and allied medical health officers serving in State hospitals. I have been there to see for myself and truthfully I must commend the Governor for fulfilling his promise made to them in orientation camp. Those houses are supper houses. You can see for yourself in the photo and this to a great extent proves the Governor to be an Action Governor. But now the big question and concern is: should other corps members (Engineers, Barristers, Accountants, Educationists, Scientist ecetra) go to hell because they didn't study Medicine in the University? "Whatever is good for the goose is also good for the gander." If His Excellency is giving considerations to medical corps members, it is great administrative brilliance that the considerations should go to every corps member irrespective of the course one studied in the university. Without Teachers, there certainly will be no Doctors and other allied medical officers. A GRADUATE IS A GRADUATE; therefore, it is very wrong for the State Government to make Corps Members feel marginalised because they didn't study medicine and surgery in the University... If the State Government cannot provide accomodation for homeless corps members in a sensitive state like Borno, then I recommend that they are immediately relocated to other states where they shall be treated with some sense of Value and respect! "Dan Allah Ku Yakuri!"...

Finally, haven stated the pressing issues facing Borno Corpers, I must also confess that I know that the Executive Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Alhaji Kasheem Shettima is a nice and industrious governor and that is why I am very confident that haven highlighted the pressing issues and agony of Borno Corps Members, I trust His Excellency to take immediate action to boast the motivation of Borno Corps Members who are committed to lifting Borno State High under the sun and in the rain; and with dedication and selfless love even amidst the fear of the unknown and uncertainty.

Your Excellency I hail thee!

God Bless Governor Kasheem Shettima,
God Bless NYSC, Borno State,
God Bless Borno State,
And Greater Nigeria ahead!

"THE AGONY OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED BORNO CORPERS"
