*HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN LABOR HAS STARTED?*

This is a common worry for first-time mums, but once labour really gets going you'll definitely know.
The early signs of labour are:
♦️A show (the mucous plug at your cervix comes away and appears as a pinky-brown jelly-like blob or in pieces.)

♦️You might feel pains that feel like strong period pains (these are the start of contractions)

♦️You might have pain in your lower back that comes in waves.

♦️You may find that your waters break, in which case you know that labour is, or soon will be, under way, or you might start by feeling contractions. These will be different from the practice Braxton Hicks contractions that you may already have had. They feel *stronger, deeper and more painful.* Look out, too, for waves of backache, as some women find that this is where they feel their contractions.

Once labour has started, your contractions will become *more regular and won't go away!*

When you are having a contraction every five minutes (and last 30-60 seconds), call your midwife, birth centre or hospital labour ward if you are giving birth there or go to the hospital as the case may be.

If this is not your first baby, or you are likely to have a quick labour, your midwife may advise you to call earlier than this.
If you're still not sure whether you're in labour, phone the labour ward or your midwife. They are used to dealing with false alerts so don't worry.

Our little princess came forth on 20th July thru an ELCS after three days of labour. Thank God for both our lives,still recovering from pain.

You can get blood tonic as suggested and also try ugwu with milk... You can always squeeze your ugwu leaves and drain the juice for consumption.

hmmmmm, the smell of ugu no go gree me drink oooo

When my blood level was low in my first pregnancy, my doctor gave me JAWARON syrup. 10mils daily. My mother inlaw placed me on vegetables and meat . Ugu especially.

Labor was so short... Baby boy came exactly on the first Edd scan gave me. Came to the hospital by 3.30. delivered 1hr later
Born at 37weeks+
Safe delivery to the remaining July Mamas.

Birth story
I got married December 2020 and the ignorant me thought that once one has unprotected sex it must lead to pregnancy so I was expecting pregnancy the next month being January but it didn't happen, my husband wasn't in a haste at all for pregnancy but I wanted pregnancy sharp sharp ,unfortunately it took me 3 months to get pregnant and sadly I lost the pregnancy at 10 weeks .I had no idea what  caused it but when I went for the first scan at 10 weeks, it was reading 7 weeks with no fetal pole I was told to come back in two weeks to re-scan but I started bleeding few days after the scan ,was rushed to the hospital and that was it o,I passed the foetus in the hospital toilet. I can't begin to explain how terrible I felt after the miscarriage but just know that it was a trying moment in my life.
Four months after the miscarriage in the month of August 2021 I was expecting my period and had intention to try some fertility drugs /supplements for pregnancy the next month when my God did it o,I didn't see my period and a day after I did the urine test and I saw two red lines starring at me,my feelings that moment was kinda mixed,I was happy and scared at the same time and praying against miscarriage .First trimester was smooth, no extreme morning sickness, second and third  trimester same thing till my bp went high around 25weeks and I was place on aldomet drugs till delivery .My last antenatal appointment at 40weeks I was really tired and had it in mind to ask my doctor for a membrane sweep only for the nurses who checked my bp to shout that my bp is too high 160/90 so when it got to my turn to see the doctor he said I should  get ready for induction that very day since I am full term due to my unstable bp which has been lingering for a while now and send for my load,I begged to go home and  come back but they refused and asked me to do  a scan at the hospital ,which I did and the scan result was fine and placed my baby weight to be 3.7kg.At around 4pm that very day the induction process started, in summary the induction process lasted for 16 hours and there was no progress, I was stuck at 4cm with pain ,baby heartbeat was also unstable and the doctor also said something concerning my pelvic being blocked or so can't recall and CS  was suggested to me,I accepted, and Cs was carried out and my baby boy screamed his lung out  on May 12th weighing 4.3kg against 3.5kg that scan said a day before the surgery. Recovery has been something else but I thank God, vigilante is also very real,I  am still bleeding almost 4 weeks after CS although not heavy but I am still bleeding,we also have cough and catarrh and my tummy still look 4 months pregnant, I wonder if my tummy will ever go back to normal. May God grant the heart desires of everyone here and may our labor not be in vain.pls ignore all grammatical errors abeg.

it depends on the Individual, some start at 3 months while some from 1 year. but that does not mean that she won't take in oooooo

I just want to know how long will I continue to see the blood or when will it stop and also when can I resume sleeping on my tummy ?
An aunt of mine told me to mix original ogogoro with uda and uziza seed to drink that it will wash my Tommy of every bad blood pls o is this safe? Has anybody done this before here?

I have heard about the ogogoro stuff they even mixed it with yeasts but please don't take it. as for lochia, it may take more than a month. body differs

How I wish I did
I was advised to do it but as I was waiting for money to do it, I had membrane rupture of the lead twin(T1)'s
sac at 16wks+ so I started having liquor drainage/leakage, an Arabian pessary (alternative to cerclage) was inserted, the drainage/leakage stopped for 12hrs and started again as am typing this I'm in the hospital because I have been placed on bed rest with raised foot of the bed. More like hanging my legs but the liquor is still draining especially after any body movement including pee and poo even though the leakage is not much.

My problem now is that I have to be in hospital (bed rest) for as long as it will take the liquor to stop draining.
Experience Mamas and doctors in the house pls is there any thing I can do to stop this drainage? Pls I need ideas and
Suggestions.

aww, so sorry sis, my own drainage started around 25 weeks but it was caused by lifting heavy objects, I was placed on bed rest for 2weeks before I was operated because the fluid was reduced. baby was weighing 0.8kg was placed on oxygen for 8 hours, place in phototherapy, no incubator, discharged 3 weeks later. she is 5 years now, no health challenges but the experience no be here. hang on and follow your doctor instructions. you will testify
