Every accused is offered a chance at plea deal regardless of if they have a strong case or not. The FEDS do not like to go to trial and 90 percent 9o Federal cases do not go to trial simply because by the time they charge someone to court, they usually have more than enough to win the case. The Feds do lose cases but they win more than 90 percent. Mr Oyenma has money hence he can afford very good lawyers, this will make his case winnable(5% chance) or at least get the best deal he can get out of it. If I have to predict now, I will say that he will end up doing some small time and forfeit a lot of money. Only because he can afford good lawyers and he has connections in high places unlike other accused persons.

Most people in the US don't have this kind of money hence most usually plea guilty and end up in prison.

If u r accused of murder or mass shooting and u were caught red handed, u ain’t getting no type of plea bargain whatsoever

The allegations, as I understand it, is not that he embezzled money.

He has been accused of using false documents to move money from Nigeria and around the US to purchase some Aircrafts: in Legal parlance Money Laundering and Bank Fraud.

So This is not a Civil case - it’s a Criminal Case.

There is no such thing as settlemt out of court in this instance - but a plea bargain.

Thus, He either pleads guilty to the offence/or a lesser charge, and he is given a reduced sentence - and/or option of fine - or he pleads not guilty and the case proceeds to trial.

At least, that’s how I understand these things to go legally.

Either way he needs very good lawyers.
