Nikky14: My Birth Gist
I will like to contribute to this movement by dropping my own experience
I landed Canada 7th Nov 2024 POE was smooth, no questions about my pregnancy whatsoever. I traveled at 31weeks 6days but my belly was like I was 40weeks gone cos I was having twins. So I guess they just didn’t care about it or my God was not sleeping 😁 I came in with my mom and they just wanted to know who we would be staying with and if we have visited before.
I stayed at Milton with relative so no no accommodation expenses As for getting a doctor, we just walked into one of the doctors office close by, she was even Nigerian, sent me for tests and scan. She referred me to the hospital where I gave birth (credit Valley)
Breakdown I can’t remember the exact figures of all amount paid. Family doctor fee- 60 (every visit) Test- 320-400 1st scan at 33wks- 450
So twins pregnancy is considered high risk, so I have to do scan every 2 weeks and I was referred to MFM (maternal fetal medicine) they handle high risk pregnancy
2nd scan at 35wks- $370 (this was done in the hospital I gave birth credit valley mississauga) Hospital visit- $350 MFM visit- $720 Additional test- $120
Because I was already 35wks the doctor said I didn’t need another visit and would schedule me for delivery at 36wks but I asked her to schedule me for 37wks cos I wanted babies
Hope this helps I'm just wondering if it's possible to book the appointment for husband not in Canada before baby arrives. |

Yetyb: Hi Debbie, it’s been a while. So I just found out I am Pregnant and currently have American Visa. Would suggest I give it a try? I haven’t applied or have a Canadian visa yet. Apply for a Canada visa as you are very likely to get it. Hold both for hand while you wait for travel time to get near then decide. You can't predict anything especially US. Better safe |

House34: Why not start by inviting your fiancée to the UK where you live? Because I doubt any visa officer will believe your approach of sponsoring your fiancée not your wife to another country, especially when you haven’t even invited her to the UK where you actually reside. This whole arrangement is built on shallow ground, and it will not stand. All those photos and chat histories you're gathering should be directed to the UK authorities when you apply for a UK visa for her not used to convince Canada. You're skipping steps, and it won’t hold up under scrutiny. Haaaa, una dey analyse oooo. Your head dey there shaa |

Cashmadam: You can book for KLM or Air France. No transit visa required with US or Canadian visa.
I don't know much about Lufthansa to Canada. However, I would not recommend based on my experience during my last trip with them to Germany. haaaa tickets booked already with Lufthansa. What was your experience? I've flown them to the US in the past though but not to Canada |

Africankel: You don't need a transit visa. KLM, Air France and Lufthansa are great options. Thank you. I just kept getting different answers from Google. I don't want to hear you cannot fly when I reach airport. Will just go with Lufthansa. Thanks so much I equally just called their customer care line and was told if it's only one transit in Frankfurt no visa is required. |

hayyawithme: House! Please, I need urgent help. I am filling out my Canada visit visa online application. The section that says '10 years work history' does not include a job title that matches the one I am currently holding, and there is no way I could manually enter it. Please, I need a guide. If there's no option for "other" choose the slightest closest option relating to what you do. There will be another section to describe what you do although you may not be able to write much. Also in your letter, you can adequately talk about your job. |

Amakapritty: I paid 4010 to the hospital for myself,1210 for baby doctors fee is 3500 Did you have any need to get a Candian citizen to take you to the family doctor before linking you up to a gynea? Did you get an airbnb or used a concierge service? I'm also concerned about baby passport if one doesn't have a Canadian citizen that will stand as a surety. |

lalaH96: Hello mamas
Anyone in Houston and know of some kind of postpartum/newborn helper or a platform I can use? I’ll be giving birth soon and unfortunately my support system can no longer come to the US so I’m alone and will be a first time mom. If there’s anyone alone too I’d love to hear how you’ll be going about it. Thank you there are number of concierge services in Houston one of which is Soulcare Concierge, look her up on IG for contact. Also could you share at what week you got into Houston, what airport and if you had any challange at the entry point |

otedola1: Pls house, I don't understand where to include the visa refusal of either UK or US as no questions of such was ask.
The only place I see was if you have been refuse Canadian visa before.
Meanwhile I was refuse US visa in 2007 and UK in 2022, where do I include this in the form, note that I have submitted.
I submitted my application on 21/09/2023 and yet to do Biometric which is scheduled for October 6.
Kindly advise on what to do. The question is refused Canada or any other country. Maybe you can go back and read it again. You may have to cancel your application to avoid refusal and maybe ban |
