You have to be her legal guardian to invite her. You can actually apply for her to join you but you need lots and lots of documents including court approval. You also need to come back to Nigeria because they will request to see you personally before signing documents and all involved. The parents too need to be involved as they have to sign and acknowledge you as her guardian as well.

Thank you. I have submitted my application for a new passport with change of name due to marriage. It was quite easy. I didn't have to go to Abuja and I paid #55,000 here in Lokoja. I also didn't change my name on my NIN, it was used like that bearing my maiden name and I was captured on the same day. They told me it will be out on or before six weeks.
People come from neighboring states to Lokoja to do their fresh passport or renew. They give special treatment to people that did theirs online and you are captured the same day. Just be ready to wait for the six weeks for it to be out. Three weeks for renewal. My husband spent #41000 for himself and our two kids. I paid someone and I spent the whole day before I was captured. My husband and kids were out in 2 hours cos they did theirs online. Since they give special treatment to online people, why pay them?

People that do theirs online have done all the work, booked appointments and come on their appointment day and time with all documents. They just enter and do capturing. For someone that hasn't done anything, the person you paid will start with filling your forms and all and you know how rowdy that place can be.

For name change and date change, the application can be filled online too.

We have done every every. Since last year, no concrete response ro where the passport is

Who has had this experience before?
9months after submission (renewal) and no word from tls. Several paid mails and visit to tls still no positive feedback.
Does it mean the passport is missing?

Who knows what step to take now?
I guess suing them is in order

If you don't intend to stay with your sister or can't get her to send the required documents including detailed invitation letter, you are better off booking hotel and in any location of your choice. Is it your mums first time in UK? If so, It may seem weird that she's coming to UK and not planning to see her other daughter. If you weren't with your mum, I would have said go ahead and do your thing. But you can still go ahead with hotel nonetheless

You should withdraw the Canada application since you won't be needing the visa for the stated purpose. If you don't want to withdraw, you can send a web form to notify them. I doubt if they give refund after withdrawal. Shaa withdraw before they will Sama you with refusal. Better to still have a clean record with them. My opinion

I have read some pages back and haven't seen anyone that applied for tourist visa without a Valid USA visa being granted visa.
Some other people have asked same question but I couldn't see responses or maybe I haven't gone back very well (I still reading back)

You can arrive at anytime in as much as the visa is valid. Mind you, if it is a tourist visa, you need to make some adjustments to travel plans vis a vis hotel booking, places of tourist attractions etc

Please if I may ask, is covid vaccination compulsory for Canada visitors visa?

is it not better to find another country to relocate to? Like Canada….your wife will be studying and you will be granted a work permit. The citizenship route is also straightforward. Because overstaying by a whole 8 years is a very big deal o.

but Canada will ask you if you have had immigration problem and that alone is the beginning of the end of it all

No more pre departure test from Monday 11th , no more quarantine or day 8 test , only a day 2 post arrival test . Simple lateral flow .

This is nice but for only fully vaccinated traveller's. I hope they relax the rules a bit for non vaccinated traveller too.

I just paid for my visa application and I am the process of booking for appointments on tsl website....I am doing a selfservice.... if I add only sms charges the proceed to checkout for payment is not ALIGHTED..... please do I need to click “upgrade to super priority”? because each time I click on it... The proceed to checkout is alighed but with additional charges in Pounds above the Sms charges.

Please I need help. I have a pending visa application, self-service option. Today I uploaded some documents successfully and logged out. Later I logged in again and uploaded a few more. But this evening when I logged in to upload the rest, the dashboard page says I have no appointment date. All my options I had filled for date of biometrics and self-service options are no longer showing. It seems to have reset.

What can I do? Do I start all over again? What if my submission date is no longer available? Do I wait and try logging in again later if it goes back to normal?

that should be some network issue from their end and I believe it will rectify. I'm having exact same issue here. Everything has disappeared and no dates atall to select. Let's wait till morning

Please can Canada grant me transit visa to Barbados. I want to have my child in Barbados but unfortunately no direct flight from Nigeria to Barbados. Generally Canada visas are unpredictable and not straight forward. I don’t want to get any visa denial from them. I just need a transit visa that’s all.

I have been a silent reader following this Tread but really want to make enquiries regarding Uk tourist visa base on account statement issue.

I live and work in UAE and am on salary payroll which i intend to use as means of Fund on my UK application but my question here is

am been paid via salary wallet card which isn't standard acct, i just withdraw and send back home to my naija acct leaving little cash there up to 50-60k equivalent to naira there for expenses, which i maintain 200k deposit every month via my naija acct which serves as my monthly salary. So here's my question.

1: can i just apply with such acct? Which no outflow only inflow of cash, Reason is i have salary card here which cash for monthly expenses is. and i have monthly payslip of 300k equivalent to naira

2: will such acct statements above be accepted with my payslip backing it up.

Will greatly appreciate if someone enlighten me on this

I will advice you show both accounts. Your proof of salary and the Naija account where you save the money. Hopefully you should be fine with the two. However, make sure your proposed travel expenses doesn't exceed 2months if your disposable income.

This VO here stated that as a business owner, its unusal to have specific steady salary being paid into account. Many people believe paying yourself salary is almost a sure way out. So sorry I'm dragging us back.
You should look into what has been stated by the VO, make necessary adjustment and reapply

When you start your application, you will be asked sone questions which include if you are submitting application for another family memeber of which you will answer yes and answer all other questions accordingly. When you are done with the questions, it will bring out all documents you are supposed to submit, your child's section will be just below yours and you can upload his passport and every otger thing requested from him in his own column.

Thank you, I've been seeing the comment about not using business account and I've been wondering. I used business account and personal account and visa was approved. There was no specific salary payment either. Anyways, I guess differnt VO with their different opinion and ofcourse they will have to check other circumstances .

Please who has booked Appointment lately and what is the earliest date available? Can one still get a date in December?

I think your number 1 response is quite misleading. Getting a visa for vacation/tourist purpose is actually very easy. It becomes more completed and difficult when you start using conferences and exploratory purposes. The western world recognizes the need for vacation at least once every year. So after working hard for the whole year, it is very necessary to take some time off and relax yourself and most times, you may wish to travel very far to somewhere you have not even been before to experience new things.

So my advise is that the person should proceed with tourist/vacation visa. Package yourself very well and ensure you have booked your hotel and also state clearly your itinerary while in Canada.

I don't think it's a good idea to travel with everything that is happening now.

However, I will advise you to find ways to provide them with convincing supporting documents and reapply.

Also, if you were denied any visa in the past or you overstayed your visa kindly indicate that.

Good to know that lots of people also get Canada visa on virgin passoort. We're all these people for tourism or conference? I haven't seen any apart from aged people or parents visiting families.

Applied for TRV in 2019 but was denied on the basis of insufficient funds, purpose of visit and travel history.


I recent just got a UK plus Turkey visiting visa and was meant to travel next week ( to address the Travel history bit) but because of the lock down I cancelled this.


I intend to apply again to Canada by end of Apr(stating purely tourism) whilst addressing eveyother previously stated reason for denial but the travel history.


What are my chances without a Uk/ Turkey entry exit stamp on my passport?

If you have unused UK and Turkey visa and come to apply for Canada visa. If I'm a Visa officer, I will begin to wonder why you can't tour in great tourist cities like UK and Turkey instead. You haven't crossed out "travelHistory" which was part of your previous refusal. Don't show yourself as being desperate. If you can't make it to Canada this year, plan it for next year.

Many people are in same corner with you. Just relax and wait it out. Its not gonna be easy but you will be fine after all this. We here sef dey quarantine and its not funny. It's not even safe flying for so long with people you know might likely have the covid91.

They are guessing you are coming to have another baby and ofcourse you can decide to stay back with your American son. You may need so much financial proof on your own part to convince them otherwise.
