Called home office, no reasonable response received.
TLS has said, they’d escalate, it’s been 7 working days. No word.


I feel so frustrated right now. I don’t even have an idea what next to do. I need my passport.

My friend who recently got the new 10years validity passport got a 10 year canada visa stamped on his passport. That’s indeed good news!

This is no longer priority service o. This people are just eating someone's money just like that. How can 5days turn to 20days? That means we that did standard will wait for one month or 6weeks. Congratulations

Will this affect our application in anyway or can we all go together on a particular day and see if they will accommodate our application

It shouldn't affect your application. Upload all document om each person's profile. Each applicant have to go on the date you picked.

You have to read up as that is the norm now. Your doctor I guess is not a "Canadian Health Authority" He probably has his own private practice and charges his bills

Your Accommodation I think is too small fot 6days and couple inside hostel doesn't sound right.

I got a final decision on my application today. Unfortunately, the visa was refused on the ground of PURPOSE OF VISIT.

What are you opinion? Should I apply again immediately or wait?. I earlier purpose of visit was vacation/tourism.

Sorry about the refusal. While you get your gcm notes, go to some other country and do your vacation. Reapply against your next vacatio. In their mind, may be vacation isn't enough reason as there Re so many vacation spots in other countries.

Use DHL and send her passport to them.

Just go amd collect your passport. Hopefully you will be granted.

I traveled to Ghana last month, for a refresher course from my office, entered Ghana through land border(ABC transport), passing through Benin republic, Togo and Ghana and back to Nigeria. My questions are..

1. Do I need to include Benin republic and Togo in my update?
2. Do I need to write US embassy to notify them of my new update?

If it's like that, most of us for don go France, Turkey, Uk, Egypt inside one journey cos we fly and even step foot in those countries.
You said you were passing, passing doesn't mean you visited there for VO. It's when you are stamped in and out that those tgingz count . You can fill a new form and add your Ghana visit if you are a guy, then update your profile with the new form. But prepare for your interview well and don't put too much hope on that Ghana travel.

That's one thing with people. You gave your consent to this hope you know? true cos I know there was payment somewhere. I guess they've scraped it.

Seems this letter is the new deal now as almost everyone is told to update with that. I also guess it's a good development instead of outright refusal, they should make request for missing things like this.

For family of 6, 2adult and 4kids. How do one book appointment without paying for all those extras. Self service. Can one book for the 2adult and just show up with the other children or each child need appointment too? I noticed that each date have like 2slots because afterlogging in with different email and booking for 2people, that time will no longer be available.
Paying 42k for 6people is too much. Who knows how to go about this? Thanks

Please I submitted application last week, Biometrics is on Friday this week, I want to travel on a short tour. The tour Event is starting 15th of December and the Tour company sent me an invitation.

But will the Embassy be able to review my application before the intended travel date I don’t want to a situation where by the event would have expire and use that opportunity to refuse me.

You may not be able to meet up with the tour as the time you have left is quite short

If you are only going to be a visitor, apply for visitors visa. If going for medical, apply for medical.

You can go ahead and book your appointment same day/time and walk up to the VO same time. No big deal or just add her to your appointment profile. Same same

My wife and my 4 years old daughter's applications were submitted on the 4th of September, biometrics was done for my daughter on the 12th of september. Yesterday, 1st of Novemeber, my daughters application was refused but no update on my wife's application at the moment. Has anyone every experience such before.

Also its took 8 weeks to get a refusal notification for my daughter and still no update for my wife. Is this normal?

A child of 4years won't have to do biometrics. Check well.
That was quiet fast from what I've been seeing on Canada visit thread. If you don't hear from them in another 2weeks, write them to release her application. They do this and it's not new.

My application was refused because I did not declare previous refusal. This was an honest oversight because when I was filling the form I tick no in all those places thinking they were all the usual background questions about criminal, terrorism, drugs and health questions. But I tackled my previous Canada denial in a cover letter. I have been to the US, UK and France with my UK visa due to expire in two weeks and my US last month. The training I wanted to attend is in mid January. I have been told to reapply if I think I can respond to these concerns. Will it still be same 72 days processing time if I reapply?

You should reapply immediately and explain yourself. I know somone that had same issue and she put in another application the next day and was approved after few weeks, less than one month. Don't ignore, you must respond to clear yourself. BtW, what country rejected you?

Good evening. My acquaintance is applying for a UK Visa. We just made visa payment and we are in the TLS portal to select appointment date(Assisted Service) . We have seen a date a mesaage popped up: You are selecting an ASSISTED SERVICE date for 8am with charges, if we click yes, hope the said charges is just the initial 10k TLS assisted service fee selected?

I believe the total sum of what you will pay will be shown before you proceed to confirm your appointment. I think you should pick time from 9:30. Don't pick 9am and 12pm as that's for super priority. If you do, when you get there, you MUST pay 42k or go back and reschedule another free date.

287k salary with monthly spending of 100k leaving you with balnace of 187k and you were supposed to spend about 400k meaning you will be spending more than 2times your disposable income.

This has been said repeatedly here that YOU MUST NOT SPEND MORE THAN TWICE YOUR DISPOSABLE INCOME.

If you attach a cover letter and you wrote the correct figure in the cover letter it may not count....cos I made such mistake in my additional info but wrote the correct figure in the cover letter and it didn't count. Just be positive.

I made that mistake in the main form. Where's additional info? Is it the last part that asked if y9u have Any other thing you will like them to know? I didn't mention it in cover letter. Na GOD hand I dey shaa. I'm hopeful for a miracle. I will testify.

These days, they call to confirm different things o. I think you should have noticed especially since the number wasn't Naija. They also call with normal Naija numbers. As in a Nigerian will randomly call you and ask you one thing one thing. Or call your company and stylishly ask for something. Ofcourse it won't be a direct question so you won't even suspect.
