crazymommy:
I only used western union as an example to make you understand that the gap between the interbank market and black market rate has reduced massively which will enable balance between the demand and supply...how have people been buying before this year??
Go and check CFA exhange to dollar that just clashes last week, no magic can make naira to stop crashing in line with other import dependent countries currency unless if you have stable electricity in Nigeria that can boost the industrial sector. You people should stop chasing shadows, CBN know it already and float the Naira to protect dwindling foreign reserve the Borden is now on the masses. People buy bulk dollar from BDC and BDC buy some from CBN and Abokis, banks cannot even sell bulk dollars to unregistered businesses, how many businesses is registered in Nigeria and small scale businesses control Nigeria market or any African market

You must be sick...go to western union to pick money or send money then ask them the rate before you start jumping into conclusions like a fowl..
How many business people in Nigeria buy dollar for their imported items from Western Union, you cant get bulk dollar from western union, dollar will always be scarce in Nigeria as that is peculiar to any import dependent country, you cant do magic to make dollar fall that is why they float and move it from 197 to 288 and will continue to climb unless if CBN intervene occasionally to pump in dollars from reserve.

I still picked up western union money yesterday at the rate of 305 so the spread between the interbank rate and black market is decreasing day by day....Why do you think the BDC are already lamenting??even my personal aboki told me yesterday evening on phone that more people are selling their dollars to them with less buying....higher supply with less demand will lead to what??your guess is as good as mine..
Stop all this lies, it will not lead you anywhere, dollar will move up to 500 naira by the end of the year, where will the dollar people are selling to BDC coming from huh huh huh huh, Nigeria is import dependent country, very soon the bank and BDC will not be able to meet the dollar demand as usual and that will be forcing CBN to intervene as usual at stage CBN will be tired because of depletion of foreign reserve and they will revert back the policy and go back to pegging of Naira. how on earth will Nigeria have higher supply of dollar with less demand, a country where almost everything is imported

Shut the eff up and remove igbo spare parts, gala hawking, and bendownselect from that list. You and Bayo are talking trash until you can backup your assertions with FACTS AND CONCRETE DATA like the names of these Igbo big businesses in Lagos and Ogun you speak of that are more (and are worth more) than the Yoruba ones in the region.

If igbos traders (who account for the bulk of what you all contribute to the Nigerian economy) are so important a factor in IGR contribution, why aren't we seeing that reflected in IGRs generated from Aba, Nnewi and Onitsha? Doesn't 'charity' begin at home again?? Your much touted industrial capacity must be performing abysmally below capacity coz we are not seeing their impact on your region's economic development coz your people are still fleeing in droves. Common Edo did better than any SE state at last count.Even in the North wey Una boku, we no see Una IGR impact. TINUBU SINGLEHANDEDLY MADE LAGOS IGR WHAT IT IS TODAY,NOT IGBOS. Get that into your thick numb skull. Empty chest-beater!
Guy stop this your ignorant, small scale businesses is the driver of economy of any country, Igbo people small scale businesses is the driver of Nigerian economy, that is why Nigeria cannot allow Igbos to have their own country, German economic is driven mainly by their small scale businesses, in Nigeria you call them gala, spare parts or whatever, Google German small businesses. There is difference between IGR, GDP and economy driver, it is economy driver that yield IGR, that is why Igbos contribute 60% of Igr in lagos with their so called gala and spare parts bussiness.

A Muslim has valid and firmly rooted reason to wear hijab, it is part of her identity aka expression. A Christian don't have the same relationship with robes or garments. That is why Muslims can wear hijab to schools in Western countries and A christian can't wear robes!

READ it again and again and again and again and again. In fact, you have my full permission to read a a billion times till it sinks in!!!

You have absolutely gone off the reservation here,

Let it be stated and corrected that the state government of osun has not made it mandatory for all female students for wear an hijab rather a judgement by Justice Falola assures the right of any student to practice their religious rights as guaranteed in the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria without fear or favour where such right does not impede that of others , thereby female students in public schools may wear a short hijab with their uniform.

This judgement is in defence of choice, as stated above those schools irrespective of the mission Christian or Muslim can not compulse an individual beyond his/her choice ; given those former mission schools are now state owned any religious-specific directives applicable to missions are null and void and superseded by civil law

Several years ago in UK and Ireland a judgement found it illegal for a Catholic school to refuse a prospective protestant or Muslim student on grounds of religious difference and vice versa or impede the free practice of religious obligation where it does not infract with the rights of others. It's no odd to see muslim girls wearing hijabs is a protestant mission school where a father is the English teacher

Please can you use Google to update yourself on what a short hijab is and how it is internationally accepted and work.
Those using America and Britain as yardstick for wearing of Hijab, Homosexuality(gays and lesbianism), that is been practice in America and Britain freely should also be practiced in Nigeria freely., When it suits Nigerians they will run to western world for ideas, bunch of hypocrite them.

Lukunmi languge is not a spoken language, they just chant the language ceremoniously, and it a mix language that include other african languages with more of yoruba. How many of them come here every year, is it when one or two came you will say they are tracing there roots.

grin grin grin grin grin, my brother, I am not pained, I am just telling you the truth, Lucumi yoroboid language in Cuba is also related to other African languages in Congo, Benue etc and it is not literally spoken as a language, all these links you posted is just a diplomatic relation comments, have you ever seen a black man in Cuban government, African slaves are minorities in Cuba, they are more rooted in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Brazil. I repeat again those African slaves don't know much about their root in Nigeria, it is just diplomatic relation because of similarities in cultures. Most of them dont know where Nigeria is located, they just hear the story that their forefathers was shipped from Nigeria into slavery, many doesn't like to hear that story.

It may be very difficult to fault or validate the claim on Yoruba population but we can assume his estimate on Yoruba population in Nigeria will apparently be correct. Taking the population of Yoruba in Brazil and the Latin American countries, the population of Yoruba should at least exceed 100million and within the West Coast African, Yoruba kinsmen should be up to 5million outside of Nigeria aside immigrants looking at indigenous Yoruba in Benin, Togo, and Ghana.
Those Yorubas outside Nigeria does not know that Yorubas are existing in Nigeria, except those that are originally from Nigeria, you are talking about yoruba slaves in Cuba, Brazil and Latin America that doesn't know what is happening in Nigeria and doesn't see their-selves as Yorubas, they have lost their identity like any other African slaves in those countries, they only have little cultural similarities that may suggest that they may have originated from Yoruba race in Nigeria. Even the native Togo Yorubas don't know much about their root in Nigeria.

This is where you get it wrong. Denominations in Christianity like Baptist, Methodist, CAC, MFM, Redeem etc have different mode of dressing, likewise other religion like Sango, Obata, Osun etc. But everybody drops their unique identity when it comes to public affairs except muslims.

School uniform was created by British who introduced formal education into the system and I could remember vividly how Mr Bello always beat my friend who always comes to school with traditional beads as at then just because he chose not to adhere to school's uniformity: may God punish me in double fold if I am lying here.

So get it right.
Religion should be kept out of formal education system, wonder how a science teachers nowadays will be teaching theory of evolution, Big bang theories, with all this religious buohaaha everywhere, sure say they not kill the teacher shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked huh huh huh huh huh
EducationRe: Osun Students Appear In Church Garments by CandyDiamond(f): 2:52pm On Jun 14, 2016
The appeal court should restore the statue quo, muslims supporting this hijab wearing to public schools are blinded by their religion, Educational institution is not a ground for religious parade,it is a place for learning, muslims should also stop attending science classes because science teaching is not a way of life in Islam, if you want religious parade go to Islamic school.
EducationRe: Osun Students Appear In Church Garments by CandyDiamond(f): 1:13pm On Jun 14, 2016
MURIC is not fair in their support for use of Hijab in public schools, why cant they go to Islamic schools and wear their hijabs, public schools is not a religious center, most of the public schools are built and owned by Catholic church, and other Christian churches.

Agbaje had a very high yoruba votes. The reason Agbaje scored high was because yoruba votes was divided between Ambode and Agbaje. Agbaje wasn't a hated candidate, even among Yorubas.
Majority of Yoruba votes in lagos goes to APC, with Tunubu influence and area boys on the hand of APC; please agree that Igbo people in lagos gave APC a hot chasing in last election in lagos.
