CrazyScientist:Err...wetin dey? The only managing I do is on FIFA and since my pro is only 22, it will take a while before he retires and becomes a manager. |
Modern Family. |
DrDre1:Pele, I don't watch The 100. Although, this does explain some of the posts that appeared on my Tumblr dash... |
MrKodak:Big fan, hate to see it go, I'll miss Leslie Knope and her crazy. Chei! Now I'm thinking about Liz Lemon (30 Rock) and her crazy with the crazy folks she worked with. Currently watching Empire...another level of crazy (Andre & Rhonda with their own wahala). |
wman:Oh yeah, I that explains a lot. Thought I was losing it for a sec. |
bigblangston:I'm very sure you're not really human or possibly never raised by humans. Now that might sound harsh, but that's how silly your assumption sounded to me. NL shall never cease to amaze me, now my tv watching doesn't make me Nigerian enough. Chei! Chineke Biko save me from NL-o. |
DrDre1:If it's more than 10 shows in one day, just don't tell anybody, they'll not understand and even if they do, they won't admit it. Since Black Sails is a prequel to the novel Treasure Island, I'm guessing the gold is the same one Flint buried in Treasure Island. To be honest, I've no idea how Flint & Vane's fight will end, the only thing I'm sure of is Flint will survive. And since Vane, Anne Bonny, Rackham (AKA Calico Jack) and Ned Low were actually real life pirates maybe they might die as they lived. Although, Black Sails made Ned Low die real quick, he actually outlived the others by a few years except Anne Bonny (who might have lived to her 80s, no one's sure, since there's no record of an execution). Oh and if you decide to use tvmuse, look at the comments, since only official links now reside on the site, so folks just post them in the comments section. |
DrDre1:I use tvmuse to get my stuff and they've even got their own schedule, where you can add the shows you watch, I once had one day that had 10 shows and promptly thought about re-evaluating my life. I've actually abandoned some, not because I hated them, I just simply stopped watching them. The day I finally catch up on the last 2(?) seasons of The Good Wife and the last season of White Collar, I will probably die from all the collective drama. Damn you America! With your compelling entertainment and guilty pleasures masquerading as entertainment. I honestly don't know how those two (Flint & Vane) will keep existing in the same universe, but it will be very entertaining to watch. EDIT: Super villains do the worst things, I'd probably give my monologue, while I was killing James Bond or I'd just laugh and kill him anyway. Why waste my time talking to a dead man? Plus, I was blessed with an evil cackle, it feels wasted in real life. |
So how are we feeling about the Agent Carter finale? I hope it gets renewed for another limited season, I would love to see Dottie again, plus the extra scene with Zola explains how Hydra acquired the mind/compliance device. MAOS returns next week, bring on the Inhumans! |
Best Day of My Life by American Authors. I believe it's used in the adverts for one of them (FIFA 15? Or FIFA 14? I know it's not in the official OSTs, I know they use the instrumentals or something, because I know this song because of FIFA adverts). |
DrDre1:She's 61, I'm jealous of a woman who is more than twice my age. I should just pin up her photo as motivation and work my butt off. https://www.etonline.com/photo/2014/12/24117294/jada_mom_640.jpg As for the script, I spend way too much time watching TV and films. I swear I was born in the wrong time, I should have been a super villain. Vane will start making folks want to kill people, just so they can leave "I angered Charles Vane" style messages. |
Interesting, they say two brown eyed parents can't make a blue eyed child, but that baby appears to be rocking her father's mouth. Genetics is an interesting thing, I think it's a mutation (some unique form of albinism), the baby is blonde, white and blue eyed, but every other feature appears to be African. The woman is definitely worried about the husband's family and the public's perception. She'll have to grow a really thick skin and hope to God that the child will grow up to look more like her father. EDIT: Oh my days, drnairalov is right that's why it sounded familiar. This is another child Emmanuel Ofor. https://www.africaresource.com/rasta/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/igbo-albino.jpg |
joywendy:My sister, everything is now GEJ this and GMB that, I keep wondering if they're getting paid for this or it's one weird virtual version of Tourette's... |
DrDre1:The guy is bisexual, I love how folks just forget there's a spectrum and not just extremes, seriously I was reading comments from guys on the tvfanatic review, they were really butt hurt* about it, talking about the gay agenda & how they tagged it into the show, how they were going to stop watching it, and how they were not homophobic, even though they kept proving this by being homophobic, irony how I love you. To quote Cosima from Orphan Black "my sexuality is not the most interesting thing about me," it doesn't change anything about them, just like the colour of a person's skin shouldn't change anything about them. If Babaginda, Abacha et al were anything but straight, would it have made all the atrocities committed any better or worse? Y'all guys need to stop being sensitive about these things, enough with the hyper masculinity. It's this type of thing that makes a father throw his son in the dustbin (see Empire, Lucious did it to Jamal as a kid, and this actually happened to Lee Daniels, one of the creators of the show) because he realised his son was gay. Don't worry it's not only guys, the way some ladies were tripping when they discovered Raven-Symone is gay, talking about their ruined childhoods. How the heck does an actor's sexuality ruin your childhood, how bad was your childhood? Anywho, watching Vane handle Ned Low, I honestly paused the thing & slow clapped, rewound it, slow clapped some more, tweeted about it and might have yelled a lot. *I hate using that term, but it seemed very appropriate for them. DrDre1:Talk about a memorable audition, the character is OTT & I'm so happy she plays her that way. The chic is Gotham born & bred, she will cope okay with one eye, they've got a guy marking himself with every kill he makes, the girl will fit right in, she'll probably get a bedazzled diamond in her empty eye socket or some weird ish. Anything goes in Gotham. Her lovely eyes will be missed though. I see your point about the make-up, Jada's mother who's in her 60s still looks like she's her 30s with a 6 pack to boot (if I remember correctly). |
Too tired to read through everything. The CW is the combination of The WB & UPN. Reba, Smallville & Supernatural came from The WB & All of Us, Girlfriends, Veronica Mars, Everybody Hates Chris & The Game (a spinoff of Girlfriends) came from UPN. The CW messed up Girlfriends by abruptly stopping its production during its first CW season and then promptly cancelled it for no reason and then renewed the sub-par The Game, then dealt with it later. I'll not even attempt to explain the 419-ness that made them drop a fantastic show like Veronica Mars and pick up the questionable All of Us. Smallville lost all its umph and became the show that would never end. Supernatural is still brilliant, it still brings in the ladies and it does not take itself seriously. Although, its creator wanted the show to end at season 5 (he originally had a vision for three seasons, but extended it to 5), but The CW had other plans. Fortunately for The CW, the writers who work on the show understand the characters, hence why it's still able to thrive without its creator's hands (he merely consults for the show now). The problem with The CW is they have this set demo in their head and they'll keep pandering to it. It's why when they've got decent shows like Nikita, it will be advertised as an aesthetically pleasing show, instead of an actually compelling spy-fi action show. Unlike the other networks, The CW has no original programming for Sunday, so they tried to create one with a company called Media Rights Capital (MRC), well that one failed spectacularly, I was a fan of Valentine though - I'm a fan of Greek myth & Jaime Murray (she always looks like she's enjoying herself no matter what role she plays). If I remember correctly the CW messed up with advertising the MRC shows. Reaper is another show that had so much potential, but apparently no one wanted to watch it on The CW. A show about a slacker, who discovers on his 21st birthday that his parents sold his soul to the devil (played with relish by Ray Wise), he now had to catch souls that have escaped from hell. Plus, the local DMV really is a portal to hell (apparently Americans believe the DMV actually is hell). Don't even get me started on how they messed up Aliens in America, this was another show with so much potential, they killed the heck out of it. It was too good a show for The CW, it would have thrived in ABC Family. The thing is folks hear something is on The CW their instinct is to run away very quickly in the other direction. Although, the show sometimes doesn't help itself, I ploughed through Beauty & the Beast until it finally got interesting. Seriously, the narration alone almost put me off, I used to skip that shtako with the quickness. Maybe I'm just easy to please and very forgiving when it comes The CW. |
Kaycee7:I know some folks have issue with the OTT acting of Jada as Fish, but I just love the character. Like the time she was going to be tortured, she didn't show any fear, she was defiant until Butch came to her rescue...then the way she let all that bravado go in one breath. Look at how she pulled option C in the latest episode... |
Pele, jerking? Do you mean a drop in framerate? It would appear that your processor might not be able to handle it. You might have to close every taxing application on your PC to play this game. In the current PC gaming climate, you'll definitely have to upgrade your specs. |
The more I play FIFA 14, the more songs I become addicted to Runnin' by David Dallas, On Our Own by The Royal Concept, Dreaming by Smallpools, The City by The 1975, Hit It by American Authors |
DrDre1:I'm okay with the reveal, you men keep acting all sensitive about the issue, you guys keep dwelling on the fact - it doesn't define him, but it explains some of his guilt. Like Silver pointed out the guy actually cares what people think about him, with all the things he's done to become the most feared pirate (Vane is still one BAMF, but even he knows not to mess with Flint lightly, hence that cliffhanger), imagine the minefield that is Flint's mind... Plus, the reveal was not a cheap sweepstakes tactic - the actor was told this from day one, it was always there, it doesn't make Flint less scary or less manly or less anything. He's still one scary BAMF, SoB and brilliant tactician who understands how human beings work, that scene where he got back his captaincy is still one of the best & diabolically deviant plan I've seen on current tv. Seriously, if he was in charge of the show Revenge, he would have sorted that ish out in the first episode. He's so single minded with his obsession that he'll go through anyone (except Mrs. Barton) to get it, the guy is a steamroller and everyone is the ground. |
Parks & Recreation. |
Catching up on Gotham, gotta love Fish Mooney's rallying speech, "some of you're going to die, yes I said it." Ol' girl was illegal jail in day 1 and by the end of that day she was the shot-caller. |
DrDre1:The theme (by Bear McCreary) is on my phone, it's bloody brilliant. Just finished the episode, I called the twist - the minute Mrs Barton pointed out the potential of doom, but the reveal that Flint was the recipient was still surprising. The show is just freaking fantastic, we shall sail in the black together. To be honest, I'm surprised anyone wants to be Flint, he carries too many secrets, the world on his shoulders and keeps putting himself in situations that he can't remove himself out of. Everytime someone tries to save him, he digs himself deeper into the wahala. |
Catching up on Black Sails. |
Still haven't watched Raid 2, will get to it eventually. Anywho about to start Edge of Tomorrow. Really enjoyed this at the cinema, Tom Cruise and his many deaths & screams, Emily Blunt looked like she could take punch and then kill you with the same hand you punched her with, just by looking at you. |
killzone:Yup, patiently waiting for April 23, my butt will be watching the midnight screening of it (if Cineworld continues the pattern of airing a midnight screening & a double bill of the Phase 2 MCU films - then I would be one happy fangirl). youmour:I've already put it on the official thread and mentioned it a few times already. Happy hunting. |
killzone:Against my better judgement, I've decided to try online pro - chei! Omo, who send me? Give me AI, I understand that, give me people - nope. I need proper practice. Oh well, off to get my butt handed to me in seasons. |
Cutehector:Took you long enough to answer, as for your enquiry, that's on a need to know basis and you my dear sir, don't need to know. Goodluck on your subsequent Google and Wikipedia searches for that knowledge on bras. **fades into the darkness** |
Cutehector:So you've definitely stolen some other dude's underwear, why? |
Cutehector:Then why are you forming lingerie buyer? You were so quick to pounce on the bras, that you never actually denied stealing someone's underwear, so I'm taking your silence as a yes. |
Cutehector:Then during one of your visits, open her drawer or pick off the lingerie from wherever you tossed it and look at the back, those 2 digits and the letter next to it should help you greatly. Plus, you should already know. |
Cutehector:Just because you stole someone's underwear doesn't mean I would steal someone else's. BTW, bras don't come in easy to use sizes like men's underwear (no S, M, L or do I've to educate you on cup sizes & back lengths?) |
Cutehector:So the stories of boys stealing boxers, tightly whities, singlets et al are true... Yippie! Oh happy day! My life's complete! |

. When they finally did, I just started laughing
For those guys saying they'd boycot the show, I doubt they can. It's too intense and engrossing to just wave off like that. Between me and u, it's still quite a long road for these issues to be fully ingrained in the society generally. Take for example the color of skin u mentioned. See how long the fight for equality has taken and yet we can't really say the fight has been won or will ever be at that. The Babangida and Abacha cases can be easily spiced with the voodoo angle by a lot of people to paint it in a more sinister light unlike the natural theme other 'normal' people would present theirs. Well enough of that. Vane did a good job with the Ned threat. The best for me was the inscription he placed with the head. The head even retained some expression of shock on the face lol
