Take a look at Palmer here. Selfishness is rampant in this team.
Did the same nonsense on two occasion.

Trained for one full week plus balondor vexation and El classico vexation only to get flogged at home by Morata. If not for useless Sahin and Dortmund this would have been Madrid straight 3 L's at home. |

Ihebu4chelsea: I want to see them against Man city before I say anything. Any competent team with a tactical coach will wreck havoc on that high line . City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal will have a field day with them. Even Aston villa will enjoy that high line. It's almost identical set up to Ange Tottenham that was chopping it last season tho Barca have better midfielders and attackers. Ange was even playing his own high line with 9 men. |

Ihebu4chelsea: Like I said,. You are just hating. Why won't I hate on a manager that nearly destroyed my German team. Got them eliminated from the world cup at the group stage and only won 4 of 17 games before he was sacked. |

Sportsweb: Hansi Flick is a beast of a coach, I sincerely hopes he has plan B, C and D. Every club is currently suffering from his highline style but they are not dumb, they are studying him.
The big question is how long before they crack it open?
I think Barca will win the La Liga with massive margin, maybe na from next season teams would've come up with counter plan to checkmate that highline. Barca won the league before it even started. Ancelotti has never won la Liga back to back. |

Ihebu4chelsea: National team football is different from Club football. Stop hating, Only Pep is better than him for now! National team football must be using different set of rules, tactics and robots unlike club football. Is people that are not familiar with Flick that will get carried away. He also started in similar fashion at Germany. 8 games, 8 wins 33 goals scored until he showed his true level and was sacked. |

jpmoriarti: Hansi Flick is definitely not Ange Postecoglou.
Who exactly did Tottenham beat using their so- called highline? All those minnows in PL? Not any proper team. So for all intent and purpose, it wasn't working for them.
I'll have you know we beat Bayern and Real Madrid with this approach.
We'll keep rehearsing it and adapting it. If we notice a team with a good long ball passer, we'll definitely adjust and adapt. But it's been ultra successful so far, until it isn't.
Tikitaka was also very successful at some point, until it wasn't. Nothing lasts forever. You are capping ridiculously. They won Liverpool and drew Arsenal during his first ten matches playing high line then even drew City at the Etihad. Actual tactical coaches not Bayern with Kompany whose level is championship material and Vibes and inshallah merchant that a rookie like Sahin would have flogged with Dortmund if not for inexperience. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Capaldi: 9:40am On Oct 27, 2024 |
jpmoriarti: It is a well rehearsed tactics. It is not by luck.
It has allowed Barcelona to score 47 goals in just 14 games.
Yes, it is risky, just like anything in life, but as it is well rehearsed and practiced, it is bearing bountiful fruits. Any sensible tactical coach will destroy that ridiculous high line. It's no different from Ange Tottenham last season who was cruising at the start of the season till teams figured them out and they started collecting. Well it's la Liga so he would definitely get away with. City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool will wreck havoc on that suicidal highline. |

GreatVocalist: The way he plays is so annoying; very predictable and not so productive with his passing. Yet he acts like he does something special on the pitch.
I can't forget the first real chance we had in the game. He should have released the ball to Palmer who was coming in on his right side, but he chose to shoot on his weaker foot. What kind of player is that? Any striker is going to struggle with a useless player like Maduke. Immediatly he was bundled out, our wing play improved. |

Maybe I watched a different match or youre still pushing agenda in your usual manner.
We had 574 passes all game but just 3 attempts on target. Useless, slowmo, directionless passes all around.

hensben: Its because Veiga and Caceido paired. Veiga lack the tactical sense to control the ball forward. Lavia Caceido and Palmer is going to be our best midfield pair with time. Veiga was terribe yesterday. Our midfield was getting dominated, Veiga didn't know where he needed to be at times, he wasent comfortable with the ball and Caicedo was doing all of the work. Lavia is injury prone and not reliable just like James. |
