You are just beating around the bush with many words. The group stage is a formality for all top teams in major competition. Germany/Spain/Madrid/Barca getting knocked out in the group stage is a failure similarly no one will praised them for leaving the group stage. Performances in the knockout stages of any competition is the koko.
