YESSConsulting: You can see injured people on the ground in several videos on the internet.
We only need to connect the dots to know that the disaster really happened:
1. The army declared "operation crocodile smiles" 2. Army weapons moved to Lagos 3. Cameras removed from Lekki toll gate 4. Lights switched off 5. Shooting of unarmed protesters.
Is it not obvious enough?
And some useless people are still defending their pay masters. They never though it would escalate. It was successful with ipob and Shia but lekki massacre it backfired. They miscalculated.
Kekereekun123: injured person being rescued. Make una stop all this nonsense talks. The soldiers were right in front of them. If it was a massacre they would have gunned them all down.
Injured by bokoharam and being rescued by army. Yeye dey smell. Shooting of harmless civilians is violation of Geneva convention and rules of engagement.
IamPlato: If the soldiers were there on a slaughter mission why are those people in front still alive.... Why didn't they take down those recording with their phone and destroy the phones
Not on slaughter mission but on rescue mission. Continue ok
festacman: No doubt shooting happened but certainly not a massacre or a genocide.
What is massacre? In an independent analysis of the attack, Wall Street Journal investigated various clips from social media and concluded that indeed the massacre took place in Lekki[

On the night of 20 October 2020, at about 6:50 pm WAT, members of the Nigerian Armed Forces opened fire at peaceful demonstrations part of the End SARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria. The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu initially denied any loss of life by gunfire, but later admitted that at least one person was killed. It's the latest of the Nigerian army's display of ruthlessness and disdain for civilians' lives. The army has been known to open fire and kill harmless civilians in Zaki Biam[5], Odi[6], and in 2015 Zaria massacre in Kaduna. The Lekki massacre mirrored the events of the Shiites killing, where the army opened fire on a harmless group of people and collect bodies after to erase the evidence[7]. End SARS Protesters hold up their placards in front of the Lagos State House The End SARS is a decentralised social movement against police brutality in Nigeria. The slogan calls for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a controversial unit of the Nigerian Police Force with a long record of human-rights abuses.[8][9] The protests started in 2017 as a Twitter campaign using the hashtag #ENDSARS to demand the Nigerian government disband and reform the police unit.[10][11][12] After experiencing a revitalization in October 2020, mass demonstrations were occurring throughout Nigeria in major cities, and the hashtag had 28 million tweets.[13] Nigerians shared stories and video evidence of how members of SARS engaged in kidnapping, murder, theft, rape, torture, unlawful arrests, humiliation, unlawful detention, extrajudicial killings, and extortion in Nigeria.[14] SARS officers have been alleged to profile youths based on fashion choices, mount illegal road blocks and searches, conduct unwarranted temperature checks, arrest without warrant, rape women, and extort young Nigerians for driving nice cars and using iPhones.[15]
The Nigerian president had announced scrapping the police unit (SARS), directed state Governors to constitute a Judicial Panel of Inquiry to decide on cases of killings and brutality by officers of the defunct SARS so punishment can be meted on rogue officers. However, the protesters refused all entreaties to suspend the protests and nominate youth Representatives into the Judicial Panel and called the government's bluff.
Within a few days of renewed protests, some claimed victory as the Nigerian Police Force announced it was dissolving SARS on Sunday, 11 October 2020.[16] However, many noted similar promises had been made in recent years, and that the government planned to reassign and review SARS officers to medical centres rather than remove them entirely.[17] Protests have continued accordingly, and the Nigerian state has maintained a pattern of violent repression, including the killing of demonstrators.[18] There have been international demonstrations in solidarity with those happening in the country, and the scope of the movement has also grown increasingly critical of the Muhammadu Buhari-fronted Nigerian state and society as a whole.[1
Protest camp at Lekki Toll Gate Protesters had been camping at the Lekki Toll Gate for two weeks prior to the shooting.[3] The protesters prevented vehicular traffic on the major thoroughfare during these two weeks of demonstrations.[1]
Attack On the night of 20 October 2020, Nigerian Armed Forces shot at unarmed protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria.[20]
According to Amnesty International, shortly before the shooting, CCTV cameras were allegedly removed from the toll gate. In addition, Nigerian authorities cut the electricity to the toll gate so that it would be dark and filmed evidence of the shooting would not emerge, the advertisement billboards at the toll gate which are owned and maintained by Loatsad Media were also turned off.[3] Loatsad Media stated, "On Tuesday [20 October] when the curfew was announced we heeded the governors warnings and didn't want our staff in any danger, hence by 3pm our staff had been ordered to leave the site and the board was switched off based on the governors curfew request."[21] It was also reported that network providers switched off the network antennas in that area as protesters who used MTN and Airtel as their network providers reported that they were unable to make phone calls or use the internet at that time, MTN Nigeria released a statement later that night apologising for the loss of network coverage in that area as at the time of the shooting.[3]
According to one witness, after the lights were switched off at the toll gate, soldiers arrived and allegedly began shooting directly at the crowd. Another witness stated that the shooting continued for fifteen to thirty minutes and that after the shooting he observed multiple bodies on the ground.[22][23] The soldiers were said to have walked in a formation towards the protesters with trucks flashing light before they opened fire.[24]
Following a message spread on social media that protesters would be safe if they sang the national anthem and waved the Nigerian flag, Protesters sat down with locked arms singing the Nigerian anthem and waving the Nigerian flag as 20 armed military personnel approached. Video of the event shows them raising their voices in song as they are shot.[1]
A popular Nigerian DJ, DJ Switch, live-streamed the event on Instagram during, and the aftermath of the shooting. In the video, they attempted to remove a bullet from the leg of a man who was shot, tying a Nigerian flag around his leg.[25][26]
At least 46 people were killed around Nigeria on Tuesday, October 20 according to data gathered by Lagos-based risk advisory, SBM Intelligence[27]. In the hours after the shooting, People's Gazette, a local newspaper, reported that the army had tried to give nine bodies to the police to help them bury. The police rejected[28] the bodies. On October 23, DJ Switch made a video on Instagram[29] where she explained what happened and said that she counted up to 15 bodies.
In an independent analysis of the attack, Wall Street Journal investigated various clips from social media and concluded that indeed the massacre took place in Lekki[30]
50 policemen!! If the actual figures of endsars massacre are known to the public, the world will be shocked. If army could lie that bokoharam killed soldiers , how much more bloody civilians. People are hopeless and powerless, they would lick their wound. They are wretched of Nigeria.
Abdulazeez99: A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to narrate the bitter events surrounding the burial of her father,Igbere TV reports.
@ijayy_ who revealed that three graves were dug just to bury her father, stated that it was because his kinsmen hijacked his corpse.
The lady further disclosed that her father's kinsmen refused burying him in his land because it is a ''virgin'' land.
Igbere TV reports that the Twitter user who noted that everything one sees in Igbo movies are true and in fact worse, advised women to always study the culture of Igbo men they want to marry.
OZOnNengiTheory: please stop begging for unity with other well meaning people of the south.
Is it not surprising that Igbos all of a sudden want to be united with other tribes in the South? We are not together and can never be together. We can't be united with IPOB apologists. You people hid under the pissful Protest to cause bloodshed in the land.
Nigerians will never forget this lesson.

SoBright101: The killings and the destruction of south was preplanned. It's so glaring. Why would they pay thugs to hijack the peaceful protest?
Beware southerners. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty accounts, they dominates nairaland, they would create tribal topics and make tribal comments with another accounts to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.
Also Be aware that tactics and plans has been deployed to cover up the massacre since all their efforts to break southern unity were not fruitful. They have created a lot of Facebook and Twitter accounts with Yoruba or Igbo names for this purpose, one of them is to post pictures or video of people who debunked being killed, those pictures were scripted and earlier been circulated for this purpose. They would discredit real occurrence and give it another title and narratives. Beware of the propaganda

21cents: Dumb response as usual. y'all must think we're all dumb to just accept whatever shiits you dish out about the audio massacre.
you guys can't provide evidences to back up your claims of massacre by soldiers. BBC asked for evidences but no one could provide.
out of the 15, or 7, or 48, or 78 victims as y'all claimed on SM, none of those victim's family or even friend could has come out to confirm death of their loved ones and you guys are still forcing the audio massacre on us based on what you guys saw on one fake IG live??
all Fake pictures posted on SM attributed to the massacre so far have been debunked, all of them!
God will punish DJ witch or whatever she is for her involvement in spreading of the fake news. thunder fire all of you still lying but can't prove your claims. mtchewwww.
Guns and soldiers do not bring peace but destruction, There can never be peace without equal rights and justice.
MANofMEN: FOR SOCIAL MEDIA TRENDS, WE MURDERED HUMANITY By Haruspice
You see one thing about me? I am never swerved by popular opinion. That everyone is holding on to a particular viewpoint does not make it right or true. I once watched an episode of Frank Edoho's 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire ' A question was thrown to the audience , 99% gave a particular answer but the guy on the hot seat refused to follow the audience and held obstinately to his instinct. When the result showed, everyone else was wrong, only the guy got it right!
The ugly events in the last few days have shown how fragile we are with social media. With the rate we are going, this tool may be our doom as a people. So traumatized I was that I couldn't sleep on the night of the alleged lekki shooting. Almost everyone was reporting the ugly incident , this time , not as witnesses but amplifiers. It came with very acerbic venom with everyone cursing anyone with sympathy for Buhari.
Time has a way of revealing the truth and in less than two days, those who started the lekki story are now recanting their stories and even apologizing for misleading the people. Unfortunately, apologies won't bring back the dead or restore properties destroyed. From the comfort of our homes, we have rendered people fatherless, motherless , childless, orphans and widows!
Our refusal to be guided by instinct has caused us so much that anguish pervades the land as we are more fragmented than ever with tribes living in frightening distrust.
Those gifted with the tool of influence fell for the popular demand and failed to use their influence in the interest of humanity but for its destruction. Omojuwa is recanting, Kadaria is remorseful, Linda Ikeji is helpless, Burna Boy is gritting, DJ Switch has reduced the number of deaths from 78 to 15, Mr Macoroni is confused for their refusal to verify before disseminating. Those of us who refused to tow the popular lane were branded cowards, sellout and asslickers. Today we stand clean from the blood-stained of the innocent Nigerians killed by security forces, murdered by hoodlums and the security personnel clubbed to death.
Again, may we not stand in testimony of what we didn't witness. Insets are some of the traces of those who discarded emotional intelligence for ephemeral social media likes, comments, retweets and traffic. For all this, we lost our humanity.
Sadly musing

Look at her, calm cool and collected, all she talked about was wounded people, she said nothing about massacre.
Now tell, me, she allegedly just witness a massacre, she just witnessed 78 people slaughtered, but no sign of mental or emotional trauma or shock, she was at the hospital with just wounded people? nothing about massacre or the Army showing up to take away 78 dead bodies.
Do you know how many trucks you need to load up 78 dead people with multiple gun shots wounds with not a speck of blood on the ground?
She described a bloodbath, but her own version and interpretation of bloodbath doesn't involved blood.
Obviously, she lied to Nigerians, she created needless anger, bloodshed and destruction. Why? Just for fame and to trend on social media?
Very sad.
