You are stretching it to breaking point.

Nwakali was poor , he was a passenger that the whole team was carrying most of the match.

Either you have very low expectations or you are being over the top with your exaggerations.

To compare Nwakali to Mikel is an insult to Mikel and his legacy.

Wow! I definitely don't think he was poor on the night.

It would be good to see your player ratings after super eagle's games to better understand the metric used for assessing players.

This team has really impressed given the short time the technical crew had with them before the tornament.

Rohr needs to be resacked. This team has exposed him as the real carpenter.

The team is improving and there is good depth with this side.....key absentees have inadvertently shown the true talent pool of this present team.

Wishing them all the best...

One can deduce from the battle of incompetence between these two interesting clowns..Rohr and Pinnick..Pinnick actually beats him hands down.

Nigeria's AFCON preparation is more like a circus now and it's actually providing some comic relief.

Career / Re: Why Don't Mechanical Engineer Graduates Set Up Mechanic Shops by caprikon: 2:28pm On Dec 13, 2021
I actually know a mechanical engineering graduate doing so well fixing cars in Enugu...but he is a rare breed of Nigerian engineering graduates... he is so well grounded in both the theoritical and practical aspects of the job.

I don't expect every Mech. Eng. graduate to end up there but there is actually great potential for sound mechanical engineers to earn a decent living since that field is presently dominated by quacks only good at trial and error.

Quite sadly, it seems Iwobi is justifying Arsenal's decision to sell him.

He appears to be in a plateau phase presently.. he isn't developing as expected.

Collected mine recently as it was done as part of the comprehensive health checks done annually by my employers for staff.

It's important everyone (especially those sexually active) knows their status...though I have observed that the stigma has greatly reduced over time.

For those who must have premarital sex, please check yourself and partner for HIV and other STIs before going sexual... remember say life dey only one...no use am play bet9ja.

I know some peeps who are actually successful in that line of biz though I definitely I am not cut out for it..

It involves certain controls from the onset and a ruthless recovery system once a person is indebted

1. Loan only to people with a stable source of income which you can verify.

2. Insist on collecting postdated cheques as a means of repayment..this has its implications if the cheque bounces more than once.

3. Collect collaterals for certain amounts.

4. Insist on guarantors who will also sign up to making them liable if the person defaults.

5. Get a lawyer ready...there will be court cases..garnishee orders....as long as condition 1 above was followed...your money would be recovered.

It sounds easy but it isn't a business for the faint hearted...most of the peeps I know doing well in lending are street smart and ruthless using ALL means necessary to recover.

It's quite paradoxical that an extremely religious nation is filled with people who are chronic debtors... who see loan repayment as a favour done to the lender.

Messi winning this balon-dor is a travesty.

I really respect Messi and Ronaldo but neither were spectacular over the period in review.

This actually lends credence to the likes of Wenger and others who have always argued against the idea of an individual award in a team sport like football.

Emotions and sentiments. I know people are afraid that Ighalo will Bench their boy Osimehn, Osimehn is also my boy but the important thing is not who plays but the progress of the team. In a 3-5-2 formation Osimehn can partner Ighalo,in a 4-3-3 formation Osimehn can play from right flank just the way Mbappe plays. The call for Ighalo is not targeted at any player but to improve the performance of the team

Forget talk.

The issue is not about Ighalo but the Undertakers masquerading as the super eagles coach and NFF chairman

At youth level it isn't out of place to make comparison between players because they are obviously still developing..it is based more on actual data and extrapolations on how they could develop based on their potentials.

Haaland and Osimhen aren't the finished article yet in my opinion.

In 3-5 years time, if such comparisms still persist then one can be more definitive...lest we forget Mikel once rubbed shoulders with Messi in 2005....within 3-5 years we knew the gulf between them was massive ( no disrespect to Mikel cos he's a Nigerian legend).

I only pray this conversation still takes place in a few years time... That said,I am tipping Osimhen to become a truly global Superstar from Africa in the mould of Drogba/Eto'o but only time will tell.

If there's one thing I know about the American people, it is the strength they have to carry out activism and voice their beliefs and concerns. See the way they coordinated their protest, with everyone involved. If NBBF is not careful with how they handle this, the guys might join in solidarity. If they like they should be stubborn and invite other players, no one cares. As long as they cannot deny what the girls said, they are at fault, whatever they are saying.

Many guys in NBBF and NFF are clueless, seriously. They came in there because of connections or bribery. Imagine Pinnick telling players that they don't need a coach, that they have slept in a 5 star hotel and eaten a five star meal, so NFF has tried for them, as if he's talking to villagers. That guy is so dumb.

Pinnick is more of a showman and politician who is only interested in razmatazz ...no wonder we had one of the most fanciful jerseys at the 2018 world cup.

The grassroots program of the earlier board that brought some of our emerging stars (Nacho, Ndidi, Osimhen, Chukwueze etc) to the limelight appears to have been ditched... We have non performing coaches at all levels of our national teams and he gladly retains them...not even mentioning unpaid salaries and bonuses to coaching staff and players.

Really can't wait for this Pinnick-led board to exit the scene.

I swear bro, minnows scatter like shit for Africa
Djibouti
Eswatini
Eritrea
Somalia
Gambia
Sao Tome
South sudan etc
The ones Rohr and super eagles made look like African powerhouses are
CAR
S/Leone
Liberia
Madagascar
Burundi

A good team should be greater than the sum of it's parts.

Rohr's team at present isn't functioning properly..you do not need world class players in every department to be a decent side...proper coaching and team synergy can always make a team perform at a way higher level than the talents of it's individual team members.....the Senegal side of 2002 and Ghana side of 2010 are recent African examples of such.

If Rohr was coaching his native Germany..you can almost bet that he will make San Marino look special.

As it stands the top 5 African teams are leading their respective groups
Senegal
Tunisia
Algeria
Morocco
Nigeria

One out of these 5teams will miss out on the WC fiesta, to be upset by any of the following below
CIV/Cameroon
SA/Ghana
Mali/Uganda
Tanzania/Benin
Egypt/Libya
That's my prediction, the draws will give us clear picture on which top 5 team possible be upset cool grin

It's high time FIFA start considering 3more slots to Africa...wetin una feel

Africa presently with 5 slots hasn't produced a semi finalist since Egypt made a debut in 1934.

Only in 2014 did two African sides go past the first round.

In comparison, virtually all the south American teams and 70% of the Asian teams advance past the group phase with 5 and 3 representatives respectively.

The debate has been there, ..but going by the performance of African teams, there should actually be a reduction in the number of slots for the continent...the more reason why the big teams (CIV,NGA,SEN,ALG,CAM,MOR etc) need to up their game at the world stage.

I used to defend Rohr but I have had my reservations about our pattern of play. No crosses or purposeful passing. No synergy in this team and it has been 5 years. I have been watching other African teams and I believe we have decent players but are so disjointed that they are a pain to watch a times. Even if we can not play attractive football at least play the basics.
I am not pissed we lost which can happen to any team but the fact that we have no identity and pattern is really disturbing. I believe it is time for Rohr to bow out.
People using salary as an excuse do have a point but the coaching is so poor that there is not much to be desired.
I wonder if Bruno Metsu is still available to coach. That would be a better replacement.
For Rohr, I do expect anything better afrom the SE anymore.
If we take this attitude to any major tournament the I am sorry to say we will be beaten black and blue.
No aspect of the team is working presently and that should worry true SE fans.
I rest my case
Bruno Metsu!!!
May his soul continue to rest in peace.
He was magical with the teranga lions.
There are still quality coaches out there.

Same pattern .. relying on luck against minnows at home.
This team still has no identity.
Rohr appears destined to underachieve with this present squad.
If he doesn't fix the midfield imbalance and other niggling issues....these players should prepare to be amongst the spectators at Qatar.

It seems Rohr doesn't fancy much midfielders as the defender that he was...What is wrong, can't he find any other midfielder to replace Iwobi?
There is Nwakali, Alhassa Yusuf, and more midfielders that can be brought in as replacement, but instead he invited another forward leaving the midfield very thin with not much options to choose from.
The way he chokes up the defense and attack, why can't he choke the midfield like that.
Since the end of the Mikel/Onazi era in the midfield, Rohr has made some baffling choices in that area.
He has refused to bring in more options preferring to stick to just a few players despite pretty good alternatives and a lack of balance in that department.
With Etebo reportedly set to miss the AFCON I am sure Poorman's Onigbinde
will stun Nigerians with his AFCON list.

No one has the right to question him.
How he runs his ministry is his personal affair.
He doesn't need to explain anything.
Organized Christian religion, particularly in Nigeria, actually leaves many unanswered questions.
I often wonder how things would have been if the twelve apostles were in this present time....Will they operate the way the current set of church leaders go about the church business?

Really happy Ndidi is back to such great form. His game has improved a lot under Rodgers.

Quite sad that he doesn't replicate such performances with the SE.

Hopefully we get a better technical crew to help him translate that form to the national team.

This doctrine of promising eternal suffering for finite acts by a god acclaimed to be the epitome of love is an irony.

By the way, I have come to realize that religious and non religious people have equal promiscuous behavioural tendencies....the only difference is that the religious folks believe ...in the case of church goers ....that there is some everlasting blood making them unaccountable for their actions.

it's beginning to seem like Rohr's early years with the super eagles were a fluke.

Rohr has reached his saturation point with this team.

If he remains....the super eagles should forget Qatar 2022...this team can only get worse.

reports about dressing room unrest shouldn't come as a surprise.

My big fear with NFF dragging feet with Rohr's sack is the possibility of turning this generation into a group of underachievers. The players can already see this coming.

That's how the Ivorian golden generation between 2005 to 2015 made no meaningful impact on the international scene and could only boast of a single AFCON title in 2015.

Rohr has paid his dues..This super eagles team need an upgrade on him.. preferably a foreign one...our local coaches come with too much baggage..

To be honest Rohr's team selection and tactics is quite difficult to understand.

The biggest take I have from this game is that this Nigerian team lacks a clear structure and identity after being coached by same person for 4 years!!!

This team relies too much on individual brilliance which isn't quite good enough.

The Senegal side of 2002 and the Ghana side of 2010 had a of hanful of highly talented players but the rest were average at best but they outperformed more talented teams by having a clear structure and sound tactics.

We were lucky Algeria weren't this organized during the WCQ.

I think with Rohr in charge...the Super Eagles will be a decent at best but I don't see his team winning the AFCON or turning heads at the World cup if the team qualifies.

That has been my view from the onset. The case should go to court and be handled there. Frankly, only the two parties know exactly what happened...I hope in the end we all get to know the truth. This social media trial isn't healthy at all
