Yeah! I was able to gain admission through DE.

For HND, admission are majorly into 300 level while ND is 200.

OAU has long cancelled exam for DE applicants and I think the selection is now base on one's ND/HND result and O level. And I think Lautech doesn't conduct DE exam too, I might be wrong on this though.


What's her course? Maybe I could say one or two things about school selection base on her course.

Local account number are always added while you are registering. Maybe you forgot you've added your account. Download Payoneer app, you should be able to see the account you add on the app.

Where are you withdrawing from? If it's Upwork, you'll have to go and initiate the transaction on Upwork.

When I was also searching then! I used indeed, berlinstartupjobs, LinkedIn etc. But the competition was took much from Asia/Indian/ and others.

I mostly get rejection letter after applying.

But cutting to chase things as a beginner, for now, focus on rendering your skill service on Upwork, you're might be lucky to land a client that will hire you for his startup.

Take time to refine your CV to standard, upgrade your skills, outline your sellable skills on CV and also be applying for any remote jobs you see. Apply to as much as you can! It's always a game of number.


I got my present job through Upwork, though the pay is low for my skill set but the pay is better than working 8am - 6PM physically in Nigeria.


If you're a developer, you start commenting on company's bugs on github. I have seen someone that got hired by a well established tech company just because he's always coming/fixing their posted bugs.

The exchange rate was 371.46/$ when I did last month.

Just continue using that payoneer for your upwork withdrawal till they activate your account for payoneer to payoneer transaction. That's what I am currently doing, now on $480

An upwork client hired me for his startup, the first month was paid via upwork and the next month, I was added to his company payment via payoneer.
Then payoneer emailed me to verify what I do and other things like that.
