Education / Re: JAMB 2017: Oloyede Made Everyone Look Brilliant by Capslock01: 7:53am On May 19, 2017
If you've written JAMB since they scrapped the PPT, you would had known that the former registrar (Prof. Dibu Ojerinde) is a specialist in failing and giving out imaginary results.

Prof. Oloyede does not make any candidate looks brilliant but rather give most people their desire scores.

Do you know how many people that scored below 180? Go to myschool website to see for yourself and stop judging on few results you see on nairaland.

What make you think those people that have been failing jamb do not deserve more? or the fact that they had failed several times, justify they should fail again this year!

If Oloyede had chosen to go in the way of Dibu by dishing out imaginary results, I'm sure you'll be the first person to condemn him.

I've been observing jamb dealings since the days of (paper type A, B, C etc) and all I can say is Oloyede is FAIR.

Can someone please explain this regularisation thing.

It has been posted here countless times ma'am.

Here!

Capslock01:

Okay. Since it was the school that offered him admission and not jamb, so he has to make his admission known to jamb by regularising.

It's just a way jamb attest that one graduated/attended a school even when they (Jamb) does not offer one admission.

Hope it's a good school sha and when applying for DE he should play safe in school selection. I wish him luck.

Wuminity:

For regularisation

Follow this steps
1. go to jamb.org.ng...
2. create a jamb account...
3. click late payment/regularisation... follow instructions on how to pay your 10k...
4. then go to a cyber and print out the indemity form..
5. submit the indemnity form to your school...
6. wait for 1month.. confirmation shld be sent to your email... Voila you're good to go...

Mean while you can pay through remitta or through your ATM if you have been using it for online transactions before. And if you are unable to do it on your PC, then you should visit a standard cafe so as to avoid mistakes or stories that touches the heart.

afroduke:

You stand a good chance. FU Otuoke? I don't know.

Did JAMB offered you admission for your ND? Have checked you it recently to verify? If you're not offered admission, you have to regularise!
Then obtain DE form, apply for transcript in the school you graduated from to be send to the school you're applying to and do yourself good by verifying if they don receive am.

plz bro help a fellow, I want to know how carryover are re-sit for in every high institutions in Nigeria, plz does it involve paying d same amount of d initial school fees per year or u are going to pay alone for d courses been failed? Thanks sir

You pay equivalent amount of school fee! Like The polytechnic Ibadan that pay in 60% and 40% for first and second semester respectively. So, if one rerun in second semester one will pay the 40%. Hope this helps bro and sorry if this is coming late.

I saw your post on MCF thread just like Benji I've also made personal dedication not to make any public post on scholarship thread especially this BEA (I'm commentting a new account) as I applied with perfect 9B(s) but wasn't picked in 2014 but I believe everything happens for a reason, what if that's not God's plan for you?

I make this post because of your perfect WAEC result 7A1. Trust me, you stand a better chance provided your O'level is not too old. How old is your WAEC? Search for Folasade Adebayo and mail her to tell her about your interest in USAP. I'll advise you not to tell her you've taken SAT, just tell her about your WAEC, awards with educational achievement and notify her of your interest in joining the USAP community.

USAP accept students with minimum of 6A1.

Hope this help.

I have 2 questions ooooo
I have 2.1 from AAUA political science and I want to take D.E to study Law but am having 2 0'level sittings xo am considering either going to OAU or Uniben
the second question z that in d course of reg for D.E will I after finishing d form online submit my credentials to jamb office immediately or I can do that at will as my statement of result isn't ready or z it that I only submit that to the school

I personally feel Uniben because OAU law is competitive as heaven just like UI medicine. My opinion though.

No need of submitting to JAMB, you submit to school!

Thanks in anticipation for answering.

I think you're good to! All will admit students with upper as minimum requirement is always upper credit.
But which Northern part? Core north? Bornu, Kano etc? or North Central?

bro i would advise u to go to a skul where ur chances are higher...so ur
distinction wont b a waste...
D same happened to me last yr...i thought with my distinction from yabatech and
good olevel(B parallel) i could enter any skul...so i decided to pick u.i instead of
unilag....i still regret dat decision everyday all ma other classmates with
distinctions were admitted to unilag...
Just pick a skul where ur chances are higher...

[quote author= RandomHero] To those who still think UI is absolutely transparent and would accept them if they
meet JAMB's requirements, this is a case in point of what I've been reiterating.
Good O'level, brilliant ND and yet...
I'll say it again, your ND/O'level must be super impressive to get in through DE.
Either that or your "inside person" is very impressive.[\quote]

Longest time here! Knowpal, Dearpiriye and others you guys are doing a good job. To those guys that message me on whatsapp Abeg no vex for me say I no reply, I get issue with that my whatsapp!

Hey dave, hope you're doing good! I think UI is always fair with their admission process, as in they pick very best of the best. Everyone with distinction or first class always aspire to make it to UI. You know say distinction dey swallow distinction sometime "Compare 4.5plus grade to 4.7plus" or "Compare 3.5plus to 3.7plus", You go see guys from East (Igbo) schools, North, West and South with competitive grade struggling for place in that type of school. So, for schools like UI distinction or first class no be gold for their eye, they probably have seen a lot of it.

I know two guys with distinction in Mechanical engineering both with (over 3.7) one was given Mechanical and the other Industrial engineering last year!

But as per Unilag, their own just weak me!

To, that bro that want to pick UI with 2:2, God work wonders but play by the rules sir!

Baba....my set finished last yr, and 7 made distinction... 4 were admitted last yr while d remaining 3 of us picked other schools...
So i can tell u only 3 distinction peeps from ma set may apply dis yr....me including
I dont kw of the current set

To your secont question i can tell u unilag will always attend to d distinction from yabatect first....
Taking last yr as a case study, only 5 ond candidates were admitted and 4 of which were from yabatech( mind u, those were d only 4 pple dat applied, if there had been more distinctions from yct, dey must also have made d list, giving less room for other poly students)
Hmm, eleyi tun gidi gan oo. Those two (except you) have not been admitted to other school? And they have further mathematics?

Lol. So, even with a very strong distinction and very strong o'level (as in distinction in all subjects) unilag will still give priority to yct? I yen le gan oo.

You're right bro. But I want to know how many people made distinction in your set (mechanical engineering) and what is the highest CGPA in your department (your set).

Opeshe, your set too. How many?

Sey, those people that made distinction in your set (MECH ENG) also have further mathematics in their o'level? And are they also aspiring for unilag?

Please do you think unilag will pick someone from yabatech with GPA between 3.54 to 3.69 over someone from other polytechnic with GPA from 3.75 and above?

These questions are not dispute your answer to koats14 question but to help a brother.

Thanks.

Most of my friends (mostly Upper) are opting for OAU because there is this kind of affiliation between the schools (same state and both federal schools). But, I want a place where the competition is less (probably) and thats why UNIlLAG (min. Distinction) is coming first against OAU (min. Upper). Any advice from the house?

N.B: My state falls under the catchment area list of UNILAG and i have no legs (lol...I mean "No connections"wink
Yes, you're on the right path. Is your distinction grade competitive? I'm just asking ni o, I DON'T think it is part of criteria for selection.

Jamb Regularisation

Hello House, about Jamb Regularisation, Jamb has taken over the matter due to the change in leadership. I went to Jamb office this week and was told to have 10k in my bank account with my working Master Card, plus 1.5k for processing fee. I had registered in jamb new interfaced website and I also saw the same thing it was called Late Registration formerly known as Regularisation, but am not sure if one can do it by him or her self.
Thanks for the update.

Try OAU or OOU (if you have the financial capacity) then collect jamb form with it and select schools that will easily admit you.
