Ficient: I'm a federal civil servant, wife just got a job in the UK as a nurse. This has been our plan, although she initiated the idea which I supported especially bcuz of our kids. As the time is getting closer I'm developing some cold feet, but eventually I'm sure I will move. Don't really know if leaving my civil service job and farming business is a good idea, I don't really have an Abroad game plan yet. Of 20 Nigerian women, only 1 will remain rational when she has the upper hand in terms of finances.Nairaland is full of such testimonies. Think am through oo cos you might need to depend on her for a while until you get settled. |

KingDamzzy: Igbos will blame everybody else for their problems apart from themselves. According to them Fulani, DSS, Nigerian Army, Buhari, Osibanjo and Tinubu are the cause of their problems.
Everyone else apart from them is the issue.
When this IPOB/ESN started we spoke up and adviced them to speak up against it but they all kept quiet and were hailing unknown gunmen killing innocent people just because of tribal bias. The worst were the Igbo Elites, religious leaders and political leaders who were afraid to condemn clear evil happening.
Now the chicken has come home to roost. No where is safe again. People can't leave their houses. Nobody wants to go home for Christmas. Monarchs are being kidnapped and killed like chickens by the same IPOB/ESN you were hailing just a while back.
Omo now it is repercussion time. Make everybody carry their cross. Monsurudeen,Igbos don’t have any problem. Go and recover your kinsmen in Benin republic IDP camp first. |

Ask Adeboye and Oyedepo and Ibiyome and the rest of the religious cons.
Why would he appoint a Nigerian?
Billions is being vacuumed abroad monthly. Lolz. Billions being vacuumed abroad how? There are specific collections for specific purposes that are remitted to Rome once in a while, like maybe once in 3 years, etc. That is the end. And of course if you're a Catholic you go know say Catholic offering na usually 10 and 20 naira And on the contrary, many rural hospitals and schools are being funded from abroad. |

That's the reason Igbo identify with PDP ... everyone was carried along
That's the legacy of obj , yaradua n Jonathan
Know why igbos loved yaradua ? Because he cared
All buhari had to do after election was simple
Travel to Igbo land , simple say I Know what u think but I'm one of you , eat some yam , snap few pics ...the situation would have been different Lol. Only maybe yorubas you can deceive with that. 1:Apart from the 4 service chiefs and IGP,it is not a coincidence that there is not one Igbo man heading the other about 15 arms bearing/security agencies including DSS,NIA,DMI,CUSTOMS,Immigration,Prisons,NDLEA,Civil defence, etc. 2:Started badmouthing igbos from day1: 5%,dot in a circle, treat them in language they understand etc |

festacman: Gov. Uzodimma is logically and politically right on this. APGA has limitations as vehicle for national presidency.
However, there are many 'heavyweight' Igbo sons and daughters who are already in APC and PDP 'Ferrari' car on the road to power. So, the fact is that APGA as regional party will never be a stumbling block to Igbo presidential candidates if APC and PDP zoned presidential candidacy to South East. First time ever you anti Igbo leanings allowed you to speak rationally on an Igbo topic. Congratulations |

dettolgel: There is hole in this woman's story but postpartum depression can make a new mother do the unthinkable.
New mothers have know to deny or even kill their newborn because of it.
But this woman saying she employed a nurse and was paying her 30k how much was she paying her workers?
Secondly when she saw that the baby wasn't getting any better after the first month why didn't she take the baby to the hospital and contact the right authority? Postpartum psychosis(madness in layman's language) dey too. But I think the mother was just plain wayward |

babyboo4life: In regard to the post I made earlier https://www.nairaland.com/6848382/elder-brothers-babe-attitude
My brother wanted to meet her one day and she refused, so my brother told her if he doesn't see her that night, she should forget that they ever met and not bother seeing him again unless on repayment of the debt she was owing my brother.
She requested for the deadline and also said that it is a small money. The deadline is tomorrow and she said she can't make it but will pay as soon as she has the money.
I told my brother if he can leave the money and forget about her but he refused. Because I think trying to collect the money may lead him to getting attached again. The money is 30k, if you're in his position, are you going to forfeit the money, knowing quite well that the girl requested for the money on borrow basis.
Note: He has spent double of that on her, just that this was borrowed specifically. 30k or double or even triple of that isn't such a terribly huge amount of money.Na wetin we de take stake and lose for bet9ja one weekend. Tell your brother to forget about the money and sail his ship fast unless he still wants to remain a SIMPle man |
