I met my mech.. And he told me my gear is perfect
. That the noise I hear when reversing hard is caused by the rear engine mount.. That it's damaged.. I remember gazzuzz said so In one post like that.. So I guess gazzuzz is right.. Would buy a new engine mounts this week.. Thnks bro

I recall you were using milemaster at some point. What I've learnt is that on cars as old as ours, it's best to stay clear from synthetic or semisynthetic oils.
I didn't have a good experience with milemaster when I tried it. Oil dried to the point of my CEL coming on, had I not instinctively checked my dipstick before starting the drive the story of my engine may have been different.

I've been using 5w-20 mineral oil and 5quarts (4.73L) is enough to get me through the 3500-4000 miles when I service the car. If you don't have leaks, you may discover that mineral oil 5w-20/30 may be good for your car.

I use Honda accord 2000.. I use Mobil xhp.. I used it for my car for more than a year.. And the oil level still did not go down.. Thou I just recently changed the oil..

Honda uses atf dw1...i guess 5 cans of Honda aft shud do.. I even need to flush my transmission and put new one.. Cos have been using Mobil atf.. I wanna follow the Bible of cartalk

She starts acting strange and both of them get very quite In one instance the guy was just in front of her and she texted him not knowing I saw what she was doing...

And the following day, I met them together on the way and immediately the guy saw me...he pretended like he wasn't with her and stylishly walked away.
When I asked her who he was, she started over reacting and telling me I shouldn't ask her and if I don't trust her that is my problem.

Now I don't know what to do about her cos our families are close and we go to the same church...pls I need your opinion.

What can damage your automatic transmission

Most of the transmission problems starts from overheating. Under heavy load, such as when towing a heavy trailer, rocking the vehicle from the snow, having continuous stop and go traffic in hot weather, racing, etc. the transmission overheats. At higher temperatures the transmission oxidizes, losing its lubricating qualities and leaving deposits all over inside the transmission. If you'd check the automatic transmission fluid in an overheated transmission, it would be dark and dirty, with a strong burnt smell. Exposed to the heat the rubber seals, O-rings become hard and brittle. The metal parts warp causing valves to stick in. All this, sooner or later, results in transmission failure. For example, a friend of mine has burned his automatic transmission when he was spinning the wheels too hard trying to free his shiny Audi from the snow; it was on the next day after he bought it!

However, overheating is not the only reason; sometimes an automatic transmission problems are caused by design flaws faulty parts, lack of maintenance or poor rebuilt job. A too low or even too high transmission fluid level or wrong transmission fluid type can also cause transmission problems. A person I know added a gear oil into the automatic transmission by mistake - guess what happen - the transmission failed after 40 minutes of driving!

. Woa.. Really. I never knew.... Damn.. But.. Everything about the gear works fine... Except the reverse... It Dosent throw up any codes.. It's just the noise I hear when I reverse hard.. If I reverse soft.. I don't hear the noise..

As if the pedal is hitting floor... Am suspecting mud entered somewhere it's not supposed to be... I go check am this weekend thou

I can do two things for you..
No 1...recommend you to the gurus in lagos who can scan your Honda for you.. But you would pay..
No 2 recommend that you buy the portable scanner available in lagos.. So you can always scan your car yourself.. Using our Mobile phone... It's cheap....
