spicy244: Nice write-up.... Thanks so much. Guess dis will help mii with the interview I'm having on thursday..... Kudoswishing you the very best of luck. |
i was doing a research on the internet the other day on this topic and i found this piece of write-up. it turned out to be very helpful to me, so i decided to share it here on this forum. Hope you find this informative! 1. Tell me about yourself. Be brief! Keep this answer to 30-45 seconds max or you will lose the employers attention very quickly. Remember, ‘tell me about yourself’ doesn’t mean they want your life story. Summarize your skills and experience in a way that make you stand out and show why you are the best person for the job. Sample Answer: “Hello, my name is Brian Murphy. I am a law enforcement professional with a degree in criminal justice and active Top Secret security clearance. My qualifications include fifteen years of experience in international and homeland security and outstanding leadership capability managing large security teams. My experience also includes knowledge of patrol, search and rescue and investigative and criminal procedures. I am a sharpshooter with expert marksman qualifications as well. I would like to discuss how I can bring these skills and experience to your company.” 2. What about this job interests you? The interviewer is listening for an answer that indicates you’ve given this some thought and are not sending out resumes just because there is an opening. Be clear about why you are interested in the job and the value you can bring to their organization. Sample Answer: “I’ve applied to companies where I know I can get excited about what the company does. Your company is one of my top choices. This job is really attractive to me because it combines my interest and experience in logistics and security with work in a more global business environment.” 3. What are your career goals and where do you see yourself five years from now? The key here is to focus on your achievable objectives and what you are doing to reach those objectives. Sample Answer: “Within 5 years, I would like to become the very best mechanic your company has on staff. I want to work toward becoming the expert that others rely on. Hopefully, this will allow me to take on greater responsibilities with the company if the opportunity arises. I am also working towards additional certifications in the field to enhance my career potential.” 4. Why are you leaving the military? or Why are you leaving your current job? When answering this question, always focus on the positive: You are looking for a new challenge, more responsibility, more experience or a change of environment. Never be negative about your former or current employers or talk about negative experiences you had there. Sample Answer: “I feel that the time is right for me to transition the outstanding skills and experience I obtained during my last four years in the military to the civilian job market. I received great training and/or education in the Army and have been given job assignments that have enhanced my technical skills, leadership ability and taught me how to meet deadlines and multi-task in a very fast-paced and often stressful environment. I can bring these same skills to your organization.” 5. What are your strengths? This is one question that you know you are going to be asked so be prepared! Concentrate on discussing your main strengths. List three or four proficiencies such as your ability to learn quickly, determination to succeed, positive attitude, your ability to relate to people and achieve a common goal, etc. Sample Answer: “I have very good organizational and time management skills, but my greatest strength is my ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines.” Sample Answer: “My strength is my flexibility to handle change. As a front line manager at my last job, I was able to turn around a negative working environment and develop a very supportive and productive team.” 6. What are your weaknesses or areas you would like to improve? This is another frequently asked question. Everyone has weaknesses, but when answering this question in a job interview, stay away from personal qualities and focus on professional traits. Describe what steps you taken to overcome your weaknesses so that you can demonstrate areas of improvement. Sample Answer: “I am always working on improving my communications skills to be a more effective presenter. I recently joined Toastmasters which I find very helpful.” Sample Answer: “Sometimes I have trouble delegating duties to others. This has sometimes backfired because I’d end up with more work than I could handle. I’ve since taken courses in time management and learned more effective delegation techniques and I’m happy to say that my last several team projects were a great success.” 7. What are your salary expectations? Do your research and know your bottom line. Research the industry standard for the positions you are applying for in your geographic area. Whenever possible, try to defer the salary question on the first interview so that you don’t under or over sell yourself. If pressured, be prepared to give the employer a salary range. Sample Answer: “I’m sure that your company offers a fair, competitive salary for someone with my education / training, skills and experience. I am also willing to negotiate for the right position.” Sample Answer: “I will need more information about the job and the responsibilities before we can discuss salary, but it would be great if you could give me an idea of the salary range you have budgeted for this position.” 8. Have you ever had a conflict with a superior or colleague? How did you handle it? Almost everyone has been in this situation. If you say no, intervieweres will usually dig deeper until you can give then an answer. The key is to show how you reacted to the conflict and what you did to resolve it. Sample Answer: “I think that everyone at some point has had a conflict at work whether it’s with a supervisor or co-worker. I’ve found that when I’m in a difficult situation, it helps to communicate with the other person, understand their perspective and try to work out a collaborative solution whenever possible.” 9. Why should we hire you? Be prepared for this question because this answer will sell your story. Know clearly what you bring to the organization such as your knowledge, skills, experience, education/training and personal qualities that demonstrate why you are the best person for the job. Be able to show how you add value to the company. Always qualify your answers with quantifiable results you have achieved in previous jobs or assignments. This will add tremendous credibility! Sample Answer: “I think I am a great match for this position. My degree in management coupled with more than 10 years of experience managing 100+ employees and delivering top notch training, helped me to improve staff productivity by 30% and reduce employee turnover. I believe that I can do the same for your organization and would be a great addition to your team.” 10. Do you have any questions? Always be prepared to ask the interviewer a few questions as well. This helps to demonstrate your preparation and interest. Sample questions might include: How would you describe a typical week/day in this position? Is this a new position? If not, what did the previous employee go on to do? How would you describe the company’s management style? Who does this position report to? If I am offered the position, can I meet him/her? How many people work in this office/department? Is travel expected in this position? If so, how much? What are the prospects for growth and advancement? What would you say are the best things about working here? Would you like a list of references? If I am extended a job offer, how soon would you like me to start? At the end of an interview, thank the interviewer for their time and ask them about next steps and when you can expect to hear back from them. https://www.hireheroesusa.org/top-10-interview-questions-sample-answers/ |

ThankGodEdeh: Lamido should be talking about how the Northern region is responsible for the woos we are facing today as a nation. No matter how you may want to look at it, GEJ is the best President Nigeria has ever produced. I also think he should be tendering an apology to the people of his state for how he had failed them.woos like the increase in baby factories abi? |
Let's check out this STUDY REPORT - ''Men Behave Better When Around Beautiful Women'' - DO YOU AGREE? In case you are wondering why some men behave nicely when women are around them and behave anyhow when they are alone or with friends, a study has revealed why this is so. The study shows that men put in their best behaviour when attractive or beautiful ladies are close by, and that the number of kind acts showed by men relates with how attractive a female is. The study, carried out by Dr. Wendy Iredale of Sheffield Hallam University and Mark Van Vugt of the VU University in Amsterdam and the University of Oxford, further shows that the extent of kind and selfless acts by men corresponds with the attractiveness of women who are around. The study, published in the British Journal of Psychology, also found out that the behaviour of women remains the same, regardless of who was around. This is funny o, do you agree or disagree? |
talktimi: CAN was formed in 1976. Whats all this 50's sh.it you guys are talking about ? By the way who was Nigeria's president in the 50's or who represented the presidency ? This conspiracy theory seems more like an interesting fallacy to me, quite entertaining indeed sefwhen I first saw this, the first thing I deed was to Google some names out- for example Google this "who was prof dauda ojobi?" you will be suprise to what you will find. peace ![]() |
A letter supposedly sent to Premium Times and other media houses by wendellsimlin@yahoo.com was traced to his special adviser Reno Omokri on 26th Feb. 2014. The phony document was created by Reno on behalf of GEJ with the sole aim of implicating the suspended CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi for complicity in the recent activities of the insurgent but was burlesqued by his own digital signature on the document. According to Premium Times “The document’s digital signature shared a 100 percent resemblance with that of others PREMIUM TIMES had received from Mr. Omokri in the past. Thedocument was created by Mr. Omokri or someone else who used his Hewlett Packard computer at 10:01 on Wednesday. Sixteen minutes after it was created, the document was printed and revised once before it was sent out at 11:54 using the Wendell Simlin’s email address. The email was sent out using the Nigerian government’s official internet service provider, GalaxyBackbone, from Abuja, Feyi Fawehimi who first investigatedthe mail told PREMIUM TIMES.” Why are we still looking for the source? With this action alone, it is a clear that the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration would rather reap politically from the violence than end it, no wonder he responded rudely to the complaint of Borno governor about the lackluster approach of the military in Borno State with this sloppy statement at themedia chat. “If we pullout the military from Borno state, let us see if he (governor of Borno state) will be able to stay in the government house,” Reno Omokri should be arrested immediately; it is evident that heknows something about BH because if in his attempt to implicate SLS, he decided to share details about BH coordinated activities, he definitely knows something or someone in BH and should be charge for complicity, treason and for the mass murders that occurred in the last few days, at least those were covered in the document he created from his laptop. The senate should not continue to sit and sleep but act in the best interest of Nigerians. Damn! Immunity, a warrant of arrest for GEJ for the mass murder of Nigerians should follow suit, maybe by cutting off the source, the supply of BH willrun dry. If he can’t be held for corruption, maybe he should be held for murder. Nuraddeen Musa Akanya tagged Nasir El-Rufai on this post...... please read on:Nuraddeen wrote: "The Source And Solution to The Menace Called Boko Haram (BH) – Abidemi Babaolowo Oderinlo WARNING: THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS DAMAGING TRUTH ABOUT THE PRESIDENCY, CAN,BH AND THE RELATIONSHIP THAT EXIST BETWEEN THEM. If there is anything I have learnt in my short stint on earth as a Nigerian, it is how to solve problems because there are just too many and solving them means survival. If there is one unique way of doing it that I have discovered, it is identifying the source and cutting the supply off. The spate at which BH has been unleashing its menace on innocent harmless Nigerians got me so frustrated and concerned as well, the freedom with which they carry out their raving attacks that last for hours without being checkedis gradually pushing me out of the realm of sanity, and I can imagine things getting worst if something is not done. I began to ask questions, searching through the pages of Nigerian history to see if the past has faced a similar, and if it has, maybe it can help solve the problems of the present and prevent this cancerous phenomenon from stemming into the future. History gave me a lead when I came across the word “Mai-Tatsine” (The one who damns); here is a link to the truth about the sect CLICK HERE. I dug deeper, hoping to find the root of the matter, hoping the source will still be in control and in a position to stop the menace, but what I found was heavier and revealing, the truth has been in the open all along. Don’t be surprised, the source of BH that I found is one that you’ll least expect, it’s the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), perhaps it is nemesis of CAN’s role that is catching up with the church. THE ORIGIN Mai Tatsine is perhaps the olderversion of BH led by Muhammad Marwa, a movement that began its reign of terror in Kano and other parts of Northern Nigeria in the late 50’s. Like BH, the ideology of “western education is a sin and technological advances are a pollution of the sanity and culture of the Nigeria state”. Stuffs like radio, wristwatches, television etc were regarded as “haram” in those years probably because they were the definition of technology or perhaps western influence in the 50’s. Over 8000 lives were lost in battles between the sect and the Nigerian state between 1960 and 1984. THE SOURCE I know a lot of people will find it hard to believe this, but I have listened to it myself although the lecture was delivered in Hausa language and if the records are correct, Professor Dauda Ojobi, is a former secretary of Northern Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), a retired Professor in Benue State University faculty of Law, the 3rd Reverend Father from northern Nigeria, after Paul Gindiri, and Ganaka. He is the first Nigerian overseer of Baptist Church in Kaduna, and One time commissioner of Justice in Bauchi State. “Marwa Maitatsine, was a Christian until his death. Back in 1954, there were series of meetings bythe highest body of Christian association in the northern Nigeria, in Jos, which I happened to be the secretary, taking the minutes of that meeting (then, I was an undergraduate student of Christian Theology). Part of the resolve of that meeting was, to sponsor some people among ‘us’ to go to Arab countries as new Muslim converts, and learnArabic and Islam. Their missionis to come back to Nigeria as Muslims clerics, use their Islamic knowledge to preach violence, distort original Islamicteachings and if possible cause a riot in the North that will makenorthern Nigeria a history. Five people were nominated for the job, and sent to Sudan to start their mission. Three of them refused to come back and execute their plan, but spent the rest of their lives in Sudan as true Muslims. The remaining two; Muhammad Marwa and Birema came back, Marwa was sent to Kano, and Birema was sent to Niamey Niger Republic.” Prof. Ojobi also made this submission in the “Anya Goru Panel” set up by Shehu Shagari,to investigate the crisis then, butwhen Shagari saw the report, heordered that the white paper should not be issued because it may result to more crises. Prof. Dauda is still alive, Shagari is still alive and the leadership of CAN is very aware of this fact and had never denied it. My assumption at first was that the extermination programme of CAN went out of control because their mules became toopowerful and broke the leach, I probably might be wrong because even in recent history, a relationship still exists between CAN and the new breedof Mai Tatsine called Boko Haram in the flesh, blood and bone of Prof. Jerry Gana, a chieftain of CAN. This new chaotic Order was initiated by Muhammad Yussuf, and before his extra-judicial killing by the police, he was bailed from custody every time he was arrested for extremist activities that posed a threat to national security by Prof. Jerry Gana, and this happened severally. I have the feeling Yussuf was killed because he started sayingthings he wasn’t supposed to say so they had to shut him up. Rumour had it that the last call on the phone recovered from him was to his affiliate and CANChieftain Jerry Gana, more like a quick call to the boss for a rescue operation when the cops came calling. Yussuf’s killing sparkled the venom we have now in BH, a bitter sect, hell bent on avenging their leader and DE-westernizing Northern Nigeria (at least for now). Perhaps I am no longer surprised that certain groups are accusing GEJ of being the one fending BH, he’s still patronizing Jerry Gana the supposed prime suspect according to this my discovery, probably I am not the only one aware of it, and I believe a lot more people should be made aware of it so we can know where to face and who to ask for the way on the road that leads to finding BH, and eliminating it from the root. A more recent activities still points in the direction of the President GEJ. |

wow thats interesting... but what amuses me is that all those throwing insults at the OP cant seem to come up with a logical reason to dispute his claim. I feel sorry for all of you. A wise man ones said that "a nation is only gifted with the kind of leader she deserves !" |
Tallesty1: Absolutely Nothing. ![]() |
Richiy: Two words isn't just enough....thats what make it much fun...because you get to challenge yourself in finding the right words to use ![]() |
Tallesty1: Lols, I have only two younger ones, one girl one boy. The girls is so cool and respects me like a god, she seeks my decision on every issue so I always use that opportunity to give her some little little lectures. But my younger bro? Ahhhhh! that one nah die, he was so into women at young age. I can remember the day my school mate(girl) visited me at home, nah so this guy conner her 4 road and started toasting her like say they are mates. He even promised her marriage. I did everything possible to make him see that he was destroying himself but nothing worked until I started studying bible with him. It worked like magic, he join Charismatic within one year and stoped dating as well. Writing dos and don'ts will not always work, reason being that our younger ones are adventurous and will always like to try them. Remember the story of Eve and the serpentnice one...but what i really meant was what will you write to your younger self not your younger ones if given the opportunity to do so. |
Tallesty1: Thats harshwhat abt you tallesty...what will you write |
Richiy: If i catch you near any boy as even ordinary friend, na die!wow...thats interesting. but remember i said in just two words. |
if you could write a note to your younger self in just two words, what will it read? Mine will be- good job! |
No sooner FFK left APC than he started saying that APC members are Boko Haram sponsors. Then the question is: did APC members started sponsoring Boko Haram immediately FFK left APC for PDP? Can FFK be seen as a man of character? I think FFK is running mad and he should be checked properly. |
