Boss, I can't talk about age bcus u can't justify age by just phenotypic expression. I am 30 now, but then, I look so much younger like someone of 22/23, that cannot be said of some. Stuff is Joel Obi lost form. Under Siasia he was very good but as from 2018 something snapped and he lost form.
I remember a friendly he played in just before the world cup. He was horrible in that match and seemed like a division 2 Nigerian league player. He practically put every foot wrong. As from then on, he has not been invited again.
I dont know why some locally produced Nigerian players are never consistent. In 2011 (under Siasia) he was good but 7 years later he was horrible.

I think injuries didn't help him and then he started playing hard with reckless tackles which made me wonder if he was been defensive from tackles due to his past injury records or trying too hard to impress.
