Having a fenced compound with barbwire ain't safe anymore, the barbwire could be loosened with pliers or similar tools or they could place bundles of protective clothing on top of it and scale your fence. To buy dog no be small matter,wetin you wan d feed carnivorous dog if you no get money ?
They prefer midnight cos you will be prolly dead asleep especially 1-4 a.m. when the night is dead cold.
So to be safe;
*Get a dog if you can afford to feed
*Your bed should be very far off the window, sometimes they enter and find nothing to steal, they resort to opening the windows and your phone or laptop might just be laying carelessly after the day's work on the bed or whatever that's close to he window.
*Turn off all inner light when you want to sleep, atleast you have a better view than someone outside.

*You can opt for local alarm (tie strings or chords with materials that jingle, make enough and tie around all the doors from the inside, these guys can screw open your door if you lock with keys( not possible for bolts), also tie around your windows from the inside, or you leave a small object in-between the window layers, so as when on tries to open it, it resists and alerts you.
*All valuables in the compound should b chained together, like Generator sets, AC(protective case )

The OP and the mods like mynd44 lalasticlala and seun need to be arrested for posting such info.. that is not command , it's army day.. they are two different things.. command can never be in such poor state as they are run by the Nigerian army education corps (NAEC) and the federal government, it's a private school . Army day secondary school is run by the state government and it's a public school... What the OP posted is army day secondary school..

I finished from Command day secondary school, Odogbo (now Adekunle Fajuyi) cantonment and the school still looks better than better.
