So basically you paid your way back to Nigeria?
They didn't allow me to use my ticket then because that was when they said they've arranged shattered flight for us a all becaus then we were all like 240 illegal immigrants

I just noticed that you edited your previous reply to my question and added this bit on quote.

It really help that when people ask question that they explain their situation in detail that will help whoever that is responding to that question.

I'm not sure how much you are willing to say about the court case and the removal from the UK because that has a direct connection to the delay you are experiencing now.
When you are removed from the UK you are allowed to come back within 1-5yrs time depending on your circumstances. If you are removed on govt expense then you are looking at 10yrs ban, but if you leave volunteeringly it makes your case a lot easier for reapplication.

Leaving within 6months of notification means 2yrs ban while longer than that is 5yrs ban..so like i said before it all depend on your situation.
Thank you so much with you going into details with me.... The only reason I took them to court is because I have a British girl friend then and thinking they might release me on her status but it goes wrong. So no criminal record or police record but only the overstay. And when the judge pass the judgement that if we have had a baby with the British lady then they might release me to her so that's my case and I was served a paper to appeal when I get to Nigeria but I didn't so I met my European wife n we got married in 2012 so we decided to put inn the application last year n the first application they refused me based on no pictures included because I don't knw I have to make photocopies of the pictures. This second application I make every photocopies n submitted in December n they send a mail saying application not straightforward but it been 6yrs now have been in Nigeria. I hope you understand my story n am sorry for taking your time

That did not answer the question, that post is from another immigration forum just like nairaland and not from the embassy website or UKBA. That post is 4yrs old and a lot has changed immigration wise since then.

Is your wife a British citizen or an EU member state citizen living in the UK?
She's from EU member state exercising her treaty right in the UK

Re: EEA family permit - are past issues relevant?
EEA family permit is pretty straightforward and previous immigration history is usually not a problem. You may find that your marriage will be looked at very carefully to ensure it is not a marriage of convenience. If you meet the requirements it usually issued unless your immigration history is really bad or you have some criminal activity in the past.
"Where a refusal is considered on the grounds of public policy, public security or public health in accordance with Regulation 21. The provision for refusal of an EEA family permit on public grounds is distinct from the provision in the Immigration Rules for refusal on non-conducive, criminal conviction and medical grounds. The level of evidence required for refusals in these cases is high. A person's previous criminal convictions alone do not justify a refusal.
Where an applicant is the subject of a deportation or exclusion order. The applicant must apply first for the order to be revoked. ".

That will be an issue, did you explain in your application why you overstayed? Were you asked any question relating to your last visit to the UK and what was your answer?
On the form nothing of such was asked but on our cover letter note we included everything about my previous immigration history with uk n I read on their website that overstaying doesn't count on settlement visa or EEAFP visa. Please how true is this

Ok that was when you overstayed? For how many weeks/months/ years?
I overstayed for 2yrs

That is not true, your previous immigration recount counts.

When was the last time you visited the UK?
Thank you Mr Justwise! I visit uk last in 2008 n came back in 2011. Don't I know how many years ban they gave me because I took them to court back then n I was told that I don't have any ties in the uk so I can't stay so the judge said they just serve me a removal note.

I doubt the delay got anything to do with Brexit, i guess they are still trying to verify documents you submitted or other issues that are not clear in your application.

Any previous immigration issue?
Thank you Mr Justwise.... Yes I stated everything on the form about my past immigrantion history thou I have been to the uk b4 and overstayed in 2008. But before we put inn this application we contact a lawyer n made us understand that my previous immigration history will not count just because is settlement visa I am applying for. And I came back to Nigeria in 2011. Please will this count huh

We have tried mailing them but no response. Please can anyone advise or is the Brexit thingy affecting EEA FP already?

That is not always the case, if they are still investigating some of the documents you submitted or other details then they will be dealing with the issuing authority and not you.

A message like that you received from them is normal and in many cases people still get their visas at the end.

D gurus in the house am here again and I want you to help me with this message I received today about my EEA FP. Please like what and what I should be expecting from them or what are they trying to look for pls... House advise me.

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

Sheffield Visa Section

You dont need dates on picture, they will actually know it's a different days pictures. Not all pictures have dates they just want evidence of relationship thats all. Even myself when i first applied 2013 they denied me because i didnt put my family evidence and i re applied in just a week and added marriage certificates, child birth certificate and our pictures without altering anything in the form i filled in the previous application and i was granted.
Thank you Mr Scott, i will follow the information gathered here and update soonest with the details and out come of the Eea FP because I will be submitting next week.... I really appreciate

I guess that is a change that comes with the new form or EEA application form.

Your refusal is not a difficult one to address since its just lack of pictures. Make sure that those pictures are dated originally and not superimposed on them. Pictures without date on them will be suspicious because its difficult to know when they were taken.
The copies of the ones I have with me don't have a date and our wedding pictures has no date because I think the camera they used then but there's a change in our looks or any idea on how to do the reprint and see if I can get date at the back of the print out
