Many of them do not write WAEC. Instead they seek for admission abroad and most times on scholarship.

Only cash transactions are affected. Your school can make a transfer. You don't need to worry.

I am very curious to know why the cbn sells forex tobthe parallel/black market but not to the banks.
The major leakages are from bdc's and online trading.
Online trading leakage has been plugged but the cbn still sells minimum of 10, 000 dollars on a weekly basis to bdc.
I dont think they are serious yet.

If they want to block all leakages, let them start from BDCs. Else, everyone would run to the black markets.

The real deal now is sending western union (outbound) to yourself few days before your trip so that when you travel, you can have something to spend. CBN should better block that too. Let us know we are looking forward to hard times.

“The CBN advises individuals that wish to source foreign currency for eligible and legitimate purposes such as BTA, PTA medical, mortgage, school fees, goods etc. to do so through recognized channels with the use of Form ‘A’ for “invisible” and Form ‘M’ for “visible” transactions.”

As soon as i download the circular, expect more.

For outbound transactions only i.e. sending money abroad.

Which bank gave you PTA in the last 3 months? The only group of people considered slightly were those on holy pilgrimages.

Makes no sense. Do you want travellers to suffer?

You suspended PTA/BTAs. You cut down daily withdrawal limit on mastercards used abroad. You suspended foreign currency deposits into domiciliary accounts. You placed limits on western union and moneygram outbounds.

Now this? I laugh.

Yes OP, next of kin can be contacted and he/she can lay claims to the account of the deceased in event of death except other legal agreement states otherwise.

And customers with large sums in dormant accounts are usually contacted to reactivate their accounts. And if no response after a while, next of kin would be contacted.

I use Xperia and I do not regret buying it. I'm yet to explore the phone fully but I prefer it to my old Samsung. However my old Samsung and Nokia has passed many tests of 'ruggedity'. I hope Xperia can be that cat with many lives.
