chucky234: You can never judge a case without listening to both parties involved,we can conclude and take side OP base on what he posted here.It is possible. I went to make enquiries at a library recently. They close 4pm but because i was held up by work and traffic, i got there 4:15pm. I already called the manager to tell him i would be a little late and he told me not to worry, that i should just tell the guards at the gate that i'm on appointment. I got there, smiled and greeted the 3 guards, told them i was there to see Mr so and so and i already called earlier bla bla bla. The others quickly opened the gate. The third and oldest came and started shouting. "Noooo. Go away. We close 4pm. You are lying. Go away. Get lost!" He was screaming so loud that i was scared. More like someone with mental issues. Had to call the manager to come over to the gate. |

onlyme07: Ferme la bouche mon ami.. We can argue all banks and i can tell you Gtbank is one of the best. I have been lots of thier branches and i make use of three different banks. Wema na bullshit,i don't pray i enter any of their branches again only God knows why they never left it as National bank..Firstbank..old folks on their counter,they need fresh blood. All they want is fat acct books..FCMB..all they know is scam,they have the worst online banking i have ever seen..oya tell me your bank and i would tell you OP was rude.I relate with a lot of banks...both officially and otherwise. FCMB has treated me well, another branch didn't. I have never been treated well by FIRSTBANK. GTB has treated me well and another branch didn't...and all and all like that. My point is i can't generalize and rate an entire bank over the other when i haven't been to a quarter of their branches. Different branches, different experience. That is not enough ground for me to judge people that have had issues with banks and call them liars or arrogant peeps. |

onyxo76: a security incident happened around the bank area over the weekend thats why the guards are a bit tensed up. you should have just parked some place else. i bank with the same branch and i ve never had any issues so far.Even at that, there are better ways to do your security duties than bark at a customer. Very unprofessional. If he was a robber, armed on a bike and he had to shoot at the guard simply because he barked at him, won't life go on? Barking at people does not guarantee security. Our approach to customers is very important. You can melt the heart of a hardened criminal by mere words. A simple, "Welcome to GTB. Sir pls kindly park few metres away from here. Private bikes are not allowed. I hope you don't mind. We apologize for the troubles. Come with me pls lemme find you an appropriate spot" will do the trick. With charming smile and all. I have had the privilege of perusing through staff files of companies and they are punished for even daring to argue with the customers talk more of 'barking' at them. Every company wants to protect their image, and what this security man did wasn't portraying GTB in a good light.God bless you. No excuse. Abolutely none. When you work with people, you see all sorts. You are still expected to smile through your tears and frustration. No excuse whatsoever. Whatever happened to professionalism? Nigerians don't even know their customer rights. No wonder some of them act funny in offices...begging their way through. They can beg ehn! 1 Like |

I thought the other security guard told him it was ok to park on the slab. Why do y'all want to crucify the guy? Even if he was a thief, he security guard had to right to "bark" at him the way he did...not to talk of a customer. There are times people come to our offices and break rules, do we simply throw them out and treat them like slaves? We smile and correct them because customer is king. Customers are not animals, even a slave should be respected. @OP, send a mail to GTB Complaints unit. I did that when i had issues with them. They should respond within 24 hours. Get busy. Do you have a job or something you do frequently? When you get busy, you hardly have time to do all that. When the urge comes, take your mind off it and do something else. You can take a walk. Have control over it and be determined. My 2 cents. |
