Nairaland General › Re: Four Laptops For Mayorall Corporate Social Responsibility Gift To Nairalanders by Cardiojosh(m): 3:04am On May 16*. Modified: 3:38am On May 16 |
mayorall: 2024 csr for your reference
https://www.nairaland.com/8293294/1m-naira-corporate-social-responsibilities
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Mayorall will be giving out 4 pieces of 8th Gen Touchscreen x360 laptops to 4 eligible Nairalanders.
Eligibility Criteria
You must have been a member of Nairaland for at least 3 years.
You must have a history of contributing positively to help fellow Nairalanders.
Your posting history must be free from tribalism, hate speech, or constant insults. Sarcasm alone is not a ground for disqualification.
How to Apply
Tell us:
What you plan to use the laptop for
How it will help you personally, academically, professionally, or in business.
Qualified applicants will be contacted if selected.
Mayorall remains committed to giving back and supporting growth within the community.
Kindly note that a video verification will be conducted for beneficiaries .
All beneficiary will be selected in the next 7 days. Firstly, I'll like to commend what you're doing here. Thank you and may God bless you richly. I’m a 4th year student, deeply in love with research and data analysis. But for 3 years, I’ve been working without resources and system which has severely limited what I can learn and produce. If I win this 8th Gen Touchscreen x360, here’s exactly what I’ll do with it 1. Complete my research courses, and shoot for hands on deck, I already have the dataset and methodology, but no proper system to run analysis (SPSS / Python). This laptop will turn months of stagnation into action, equipping me with the right tool to learn and develop, the difference between having the system and not having it is like light and darkness. 2. Launch a research club in my school, This is my 2026 resolve. Many students fear research because they lack tools and guidance. With this laptop, I’ll start weekly sessions to teach basic data analysis, literature searching, and ethical research. I’ll share the laptop during club meetings so others can learn hands on. This is a big part of me this year, it is scary the amount of students who don't have knowledge about research, in the developed world a 2nd or 3rd student should be well grounded in research, but sadly a 4th year student don't even have a personal computer talk more understanding research. 3. I'll also Help Nairaland students for free, I’ll use it to answer research methodology questions, review proposals, and share data analysis tips, giving back to the platform I’ve learned from. I’ve been on Nairaland for over 3 years. I don’t post tribalism, hate, or insults. I mostly read, learn, and occasionally help where I can. I'll be deeply grateful for the opportunity, thank you very much. 09073419891 joshuasmart360@gmail.com |

chidoziekingsley: Pls, which should he take more important, the textbooks or his lecturer's materials because i believe covering the big textbooks cover to cover will lead to burn out. Wisdom is to go quickly through the lecturers materials then move to textbooks for better understanding, if needs be, sometimes a lecturer notes is word for word of a particular textbook. Understanding where mcq questions come from is important too, for my school by just reading your Anatomy notes extensively you're pass properly, notes and atlas suffice for a very good score, but that is not the case for physiology, to pass with high score you need textbooks too. Understanding how your school operate is also important. |

chidoziekingsley: Hi medics, my nephew sent a long list of foreign textbooks to buy or source for the pdf for the preclinical courses, but honestly, I don't get it. Shouldn't his lecturers slides and handouts be more important than the textbooks (he said both the scholars and seniors told them to hold their textbooks dear). I thought the textbooks would be for more detailed reading and should be according to his outline and not cover to cover which might burn him out, so pls I need your suggestions on how y'all scaled through this level? I guess he's just starting 200lv, 2 or 3 textbooks are fine, the rest when he resumes, pdf will be flying. You can do well to get him a tab or laptop. Before buying a text book he should check if its one that fits his style there's a high chance of buying a book only for it to be covered by dust. Personally, I love hardcopies but with the overwhelming materials here and expenses, it is partenient to gravitate through pdfs. From 200lv till now I haven't owned a hardcopy bought personally, I've my reasons though. If you have the resource, you can get one for each courses though |

Jackanda1: Which materials would you recommend( the ones you used). I'm currently studying with the following:
1. New school chemistry 2. New school physics 3. Essential biology 4. Invisible teacher 5. Past questions
I've seen lot s of suggestions online, your imput will be okay. Thanks Replace New School chemistry with lamlad chemistry, I give you my word, you'll smash chemistry with it. For physics go for the science physics, stay at it there. For biology, go for explicit Biology. These are tailored Jamb materials. Download the Myschoool app, feast on the exam mood, at least twice daily, do corrections. After 5 days you would have done 10 utme, take the average and fight to increase it the next few days. You don't have time again. Get this materials. And I honestly thought I replied this |

Jackanda1: Since your name is mentioned below, your comment and opinion is highly needed. I know you might be busy, but please take out time. Thanks. Hello, Jackanda1. I saw the mention late. A lot of advice has been given so far. What I feel you need now is a strategy to follow through. Scoring high in the JAMB is based largely on materials and strategy. If you need any further clarification, please let me know. |

Although she hasn't taken JAMB yet, she plans to write it next year. Any guidance or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Excuse my curiosity, what motivated her to want to study Mortuary science? |

Ruggedfighter: For embryology, just search “Ninja nerd or (Nerd ninja) embryology” on your YouTube, it’ll show you his videos. For histology, I think it’s a bit east to read and understand. If you’re having a problem with it though, you could just search on YouTube. I never really watched videos on histology, so I won’t know. With Iderbir Singh textbook I believe he'll be fine for histology |

Jago2244: Hi Doctors I had 267 in 2024 Jamb Please do I stand a chance of getting Dental Surgery at Unimaid? Am from Kwara State Your possibilities are slim chief, Kwara is not a catchment. 2022 admission process saw those from the north taken as catchment, that why someone from kogi was given admission with 255, and a few others maybe they leveraged on the merging stuff, the case was different for 2023, non catchment didn't find it funny. I don't know what 2024 holds but with the previous antecedence, your chances are quite slime. Can you gamble |

ogbonti: please Chief of Defense Staff Gen Musa
Defend this nation called Nigeria from
the massive bloodshed that i see coming
take over right now and set a timeline to
return Nigeria to democracy in 4 years
so you can reorganize the judiciary
making sure Judges are very well paid -
create a system that makes the supreme
court of Nigeria decisions subject to review by
British Supreme Court of Justice - because
those evil politicians we can’t convict in Nigeria
gets convicted by the British courts —
Please Ensure Rotational Presidency of
5 years single term - for all 5 geopolitical
zones to be codified into law to promote
inclusivity - let’s see if a zone will present
and promote the worst of their kind to
take their slot at the presidency.
Yes - furthermore abolish immunity for
serving political service holders when there
are weighty allegations of corruption with
unshakable evidence - please reform the
police and let States handle their own police
and electoral commission which should be
elected by the people of each state —
Strengthen the institutions by making it
impossible for presidents to appoint
people to serve in certain sensitive
institutions like Judiciary- INEC, Police iG
and make voting process devoid of human
contact - so we can all vote like we are using
our ATM cards slot it into a machine - put our
PIN codes - cast our votes and go home while
the system records it in real time and publish
to the world —-//// please this is the ONLY
way forward - i know you dan do it all in
4 years and 99.999% of Nigerians will
support you and you will be greater than
Azikiwe - Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello
combined because we are fighting for
independence from state capture. by
irredeemably evil politicians killing Nigeria
GENERAl MUSA - please if you really love
this country - if you love this Nigeria Sir
please take over - NOW - i am begging you!!!! |
