A friend mine recently bought a Gold II Volkswagen, he has driven it for about 6months until last Saturday or so that he mentioned that it stopped at a point on the road as he was driving and refused to start.


1. Make - Volkswagen German Golf
2. Model - Golf II
3. Year of manufacture - 1991
4. Manual or automatic - Manual
5. Number of cylinders - Not sure (i think 1)
6. Diesel or petrol or Hybrid - Petrol
7. Issues with the car - The car just stopped as he drove, and one he tries to start it, it starts and goes of again. When you try to Accelerate, it does not, it only goes off. The car cant move. The Brain Box become Extremely hot that one cant touch it.

The Mechanic has worked on it, Change the Cylinder, changed the brainbox, change the coil, change carburetor, changed ignition, still not working.
Help will be appreciated.

Pls I use a 2001 Infiniti i30 salon, automatic transmission,V6 cylinder.I discovered that whenever I run a long distance it fails to change gear,but if I park & the d engine cools down gear starts engaging well.What is d solution.

You may be needing a transmission flush and fresh transmission fluid. Make sure you use a good quality ATF approved for Nissans.

The SH-AWD light comes on together with the CHECK ENGINE light , when you turn off the ignition and turn it on again , the SH-AWD light disappears.
It doesn’t affect the movement of the vehicle as it still drive well.
The last scan I did with a friend brought the codes below.
How can I reset the TPMS in the same vehicle.

The CEL is the reason the the SHAWD light comes up too. Scan the car pls and post the results.

The car sometimes will not rev when you are driving it will suddenly loos power and will not perform again yet the engine keep running on a high steam.
I have tried couple number of things like. Changing the padal and the injector mouth yet it did not stop. I even went forther and changr the ECM and am still having this issue.
Please what can be done again.

Have u done a Power train scan? That should be your first step to getting it fixed. Pls scan and post the codes. They may be pointers.
