Stop with the sensationalism, clickbait bloggers.

The press release from the school said one confirmed dead, may the soul of the departed find repose. While was the death toll mindlessly inflated? For traffic? Y’all should do better and stop trivializing lives.

Beverly hills 90210 was a 90s show , which one is 15/16 again. Indomie generation did not get to watch it or even know it.
I know of it because my elder sisters and cousins were regular customers of the show back in the day.

Well, guess it’s a different 90210 then.

And the “ indomie generation “ can’t be a reference to me tho cos that would be reaching lol

90210 and Gossip girls were fairly popular around 15/16 in Nigeria especially for people who follow American lifestyle/pop themed shows.

I don’t know if the standard of the roads Makinde has been constructing in the past few years has improved. The substandard and shoddy repair(maintenance) works he did along the Elebu/Akala express axis was an eyesore.

Hope the phantom streetlights he erected are functional now? Dude hasn’t done badly asides from the poorly awarded and bogus contracts to his cronies who were mending roads like masons lol.

For the smart and enlightened folks in Oyo state cum Ibadan, dude has been average as fvck and there are loads of infractions and corrupt activities going on in his government.

Auctioning, misappropriating and allocating the state’s properties for himself and his cronies is one of such misdeeds.

Dude hasn’t performed better than Lam Adesina considering the level of social infrastructure he met on ground I expected much more from this government. It’s all hype, more hype, less workings and little to show for it.

Education and healthcare sector hasn’t witnessed any serious revamp or quality infrastructure.

Ajimobi had his faults and he’s no saint too he was a crook like the average Nigerian politician, same as this Makinde. One thing that’s evident with Ajimobi’s government is major urban renewal that Oyo state especially Ibadan witnessed under his government at the very least in his first term and the quality of projects unlike Makinde and Akala , the latter whom 70% of his road projects needed reconstruction within two years due them been poorly done.

Joking about the girlfriend thing, but kudos.

Haha. Thanks for the compliments.

As regards your request I’d think about it 😉

Well, Nigeria has her troubles but the land is exceedingly blessed and we have great and amazing people in our midst.

For them I would always be a proud Nigerian and I would always speak for them. We all deserve much much better!

StOla:
It is time the Nigerian government places a 10year embargo on the siphoning of Nigerian earned funds to sustain academic infrastructures in UK, US, Canada, and any other country Nigerians are going to for education tourism.

Only a foolish country allow people to ship off funds earned in that economy to benefit another economy, without paying any tax to the economy where the funds was earned.

They will sell property in Nigeria and pocket all the money to go donate to another economy, yet no tax is paid on the sale of that property to the economy where the wealth was acquired.

Imagine all the best income earners in Nigeria spending the bulk of their Nigerian earnings on the undergraduate education of their children or their own postgraduate education abroad, after the heavily subsidized undergraduate education that Nigeria provided them to secure those jobs in Nigeria that funded their ambition to wear winter jackets in Europe and North America?

Any country that does not understand the intricacies of economic national security, will keep wondering why its economy continue to flounder.

Even the countries receiving Nigerian funds know how to prioritize their own national economic security, and make policy changes from time to time to ensure that the academic tourists remain only a source of net foreign remittance into their own economy instead of a net subtractive parasite.

I will say it again, the prevailing time is not one to allow your best income earners take funds out of the Nigerian economy without as much as a 50kobo tax on their destructive drain of our national wealth.

Anyone that wants to go abroad for education should find a way to get a job in that country and raise the funds from the income earned in that country.

CBN should with immediate effect prohibit any transfers from a Nigerian account to any foreign academic institution for a period of 10years, while the government should simultaneously raise the school fees to something tangible that you save for years ahead, instead of the rubbish fees that is not up to the pocket money the students spend in a month.

Or is UK or Canada or US tuition fees for local student the kind of amount that local student will spend on buying burgers in a month?

So why are Nigerian universities charging money for 1month shawarma as annual tuition fees?

Charge well, pay lecturers well, and still have enough to upgrade and maintain the education infrastructure in Nigeria.

Goddammit!

You made some reasonable points but a larger part of your argument is absolutely flawed:

Most of your criticism was mostly targeted at average Nigerians trying to eke out a good living and seeking for a better life, which they’re well within their rights to seek. If you can’t be empathetic about their plight then don’t make mockery and act savagery about their situation.

Nigeria is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of resources in Africa alone we’re Top 3 globally we’d be polled and fall in-between the Top 30 out of the UN recognized 195 countries of the world. Yet we’re still a third-world and developing country asides from Lagos, Abuja and some of few other cities in Nigeria, most of parts of our country have a semblance with failed states and bordering on “ 4th World “ if there’s a word like that. Why are we living in such tumultuous and dire conditions? Pray tell….its the politicians, the useless scoundrels, vacuous, uninspiring, retarded, directionless, rogues, greedy, self-serving fools we have had at the helms of affairs since independence.

The political and economic brigands who have mortgaged the past, present, foreseeable and even the distant future of millions of Nigerians.

The type that would misappropriate, allocate, and have a jamboree on the common patrimony of all Nigerians.

To whom much is given much is expected, and your Claim that low income and middle income Nigerians should be burdened with extra tax so your politicians, cronies, sons, and other members of their family can keep stashing our commonwealth, in tax havens like Panama, or Swiss accounts, acquire more properties and relocate to Dubai, share Eko Atlantic and a large chunk of Ikoyi, Banana Island properties to themselves and cronies? It’s utter nonsense and it’s not gonna happen.

No Nigerian should be paying taxes, until all the billions of dollars that’s been stolen from our national coffers, have been recovered, repatriated, accounted for and judiciously expended.

Until the EFCC stop being a political witching hunting tool end or at least curb to the barest minimum the economic skirmishes that the Nigerian state has been experiencing for ages.

A dunderhead sits his ass down in Abuja, earning 30m naira monthly for doing nothing aside’s puerile and frivolous activities like changing the anthem but no, increase tuition fees in public universities and government cutting subventions and removing educational subsidy is what should be our priority. Any missteps by the Federal government would be the last salvo and its Achilles heel at this very tense moment.

Lastly the remittances from Nigerians in the Diaspora has been the one of highest means of earning forex and generating revenue, stimulating the Nigerian economy. If an embargo was placed on emigration 10 years ago Nigeria could be in a state of nature now. Lol

This should be Onuachu’s last game for the eagles.

Poor, decision making, lack of confidence, coordination affected the team badly today.

The Two subs he brought one were zero, a snail Iheanacho would have been better let’s assume he doesn’t wanna play Nathan Tella.

Onyeka should have come on for Ndidi at least as early as 55th Minute.

What was that schoolboy defending for the first goal? And while we were ball watching for the second.

He should have kept Iwobi for longer. The essence of playing two DM/CM is for balance but that didn’t work cos lookman was overworked with the bad passes often times making him tired and ineffective for the moments we needed him.

He could have gone 3 at the back even without Osayi’s injury cos he didn’t offer much.

My biggest grouse with the coach is not being able to do anything for 50 mins against a Benin republic team he had the wing and attack options.

Collapse the center and push your forwards higher up.

There were just so many things wrong no creativity, no pace or urgency even while we were down, so many unnecessary touches.

Lol

They’re different countries tho….South Korea even though got involved in women’s football earlier and were a force are different from Korea DPR which is (North Korea) they have achieved more on the international women’s football stage than their next door neighbours South Korea.

Germany are the team to be mostly worried about though there aren’t really minnows in women football anymore as well. Venezuela might just spring up a surprise but we have bested the South Koreans on a number of occasions including the FIFA women’s World Cup in France in 2019.

No surprise: this country has long gone to the dogs anyway.

I want our girls to be at the Olympics missing out on the last 3 editions of the Olympics is a big dent on our pride as the greatest African women football team; I believe we’d definitely dispatch Cameroun in Nigeria South Africa would be tough tho but we’re still the best team in Africa on a good day.

The falcons would really need to up their game going forward.

We came in at the second round of qualifiers (we skipped the first round because we are one of the big teams).

We beat Ethiopia in the second round and we are playing Cameroon in the third round.

If we beat Cameroon, we'll play either South Africa or Tanzania in the fourth and final round.

Oh Wow! That’s tough! So I’m guessing Africa still has a single spot for women’s Olympic football.

Zambia represented Africa at the last Olympics.

If we beat Cameroon we’re most likely gonna face South Africa it’s gonna be quite tough tho.

Crime / Re: She Says She Gave Birth To A Child After Lyft Driver Raped Her In 2019,Sues Now by Carlyboi(m): 11:22pm On Jan 30
Rapist deserve at least 35 years in prison while a repeated and offender deserves to be castrated the law is too lenient with rape in most cases which is the reason for its prevalence till the today.

A lot of laws across the world gives rapists a pat on the back with the kind of punishment they serve for convicted rapists.

Vindictive and scorned ex lovers and also false accusers, are the major clog in the wheels of improved and stringent punishment for rapists but on other hand false accusers can be handed half of the punishments that would have been served to a rapist to serve as deterrent and to reduce the level of false rape claims.

Lastly some men should be more responsible and stop acting like Randy rabid dogs on eat when it comes to sex….imagine jeopardizing your career and your means of livelihood over pussy. Tueh.

Do you mean forced allegiance simply because they saw no chance of playing for their European countries? Na condition dey make Dem play for Africa and not love and loyalty.

It’s not everyone that applies to plus they could choose not to play international football too.

There’s no compulsion to represent these African countries a player like ziyech when he was playing in the eredivisie could have opted to play for the Netherlands instead of Morocco,Bono for Spain, Kevin Prince Boateng could have represented Germany,Zaha could have opted for England,Seko Fofana for France, koulibaly was in fact invited by Deschamps despite being capped by Senegal already, although unbeknownst to him.learnt Brahim Diaz is considering switching allegiance to Morocco.

So not all these players aren’t good enough to represent this European nations they chose to represent mother Africa so due credit must be given to them.

To each his own but a dude getting married at age 25 or under would never make sense to me. Even women who get married at their late teens or early 20s struggle and sometimes experience internal conflict and this isn’t necessarily about money.

Ideally the prefrontal cortex isn’t fully developed until you’re in your mid 20s making life altering and life changing decisions at that stage could be seen as foolhardy or ended being disastrous unless you’re lucky.

You should give yourself time to grow and have decent amount of life experiences and be mentally prepared for that big leap lest it’s gonna be your Achilles heel. Some women who get married early to men 5 years or more older than them do harbour resentment for their spouses and see them as robbing them of that young adulthood stage and by confining them in that box of marriage.

At the end of the day do what works for you, I personally believe, marriage just like a lot of significant happenings in the existence of men is largely predestined if it’s for you it’s surely gonna happen at that supposed time. So if it’s not happening don’t force it,enjoy life and go with the flow be happy and explore. Attain success, be productive and lead a meaningful life and be fulfilled. After all there’s no higher goal or sense to life it’s a facade,a mirage, it’s mundane,a vicious cycle we all have to go through the moment we take our first breath till we kick the bucket.

Cheers.

Why exactly do we have the bank rate when it’s literally useless to the fx needs of an average Nigerian? Just scrap the thing if a uniform rate can’t be achieved.

How on earth are BDCs able to get dollars to sell at black market rates but banks don’t have dollars to give when you get to their damn offices? if not for monetary malfeasance, round tripping and sharp practises in the Nigerian financial and banking sector (industry).

All of Una Dey craze!
