I apologise if you feel insulted, I mean no offence
oh no, sholeyb, i do not feel insulted. i feel sympathetic. you must be outside the country for sure. you certainly do not realise how bad things are. ok, let's volunteer time and energy. ON EMPTY STOMACHShuh i have a friend who walks 30 minutes to church, to and fro (total=1 hour) every sunday because he can't afford the N30 bus fare. just once a week. Now that's the picture of 70% of Nigeria (you don't really need the UN to tell you that). It didn't cross your mind that the reason you could volunteer ur time and energy is because you are well-fed and happy and "high-flying"? can a psychologically-unbalanced person be productive? Do u realise how disillusioned and unmotivated the average Nigerian is?

PoliticsRe: A Must See Pictures From Ariaria International Market Aba by carmelily: 2:08pm On Oct 03, 2008
well, the market is populated by millionaires who can't lift a finger to improve the state of their surroundings.My national service was in Aba and my shock was complete the first time i visited the Ariaria market. It had rained and I saw traders literally sitting in stools and chairs in flooded shops. It has never entered their heads to do something about making things better themselves. They "marginalise" themselves. And I could never find anything of good quality in that market. What makes it "international"?

@ifyalways

OP culled the story, she didn't take the pics. The original writer, wayoguy, did.

The've succeeded in giving the likes of Mpele, Nuzo and kobojunkie a cause to rejoice and praise the lord.
You help in circulating stuff to make them "praise the Lord" and think it is a bad thing when they do? huh

well i don't know much about dating a white lady. LOL. But white guys are far more fun. They are more considerate to women, more loving, caring and attentive. most importantly, they understand that it takes two.

LOL. seriously, we have trained psychologists and therapists, professionals for stuff like this (and their oath to confidentiality takes care of the anonymity part). Trust me, there's probably nobody licensed to give her advice on this thread. Read through and tell me how she plans to take an intelligent decision.

@joichi
you (and other indecisionists like you) should write to Dear Abby or Dear Margo. They are both available for free on Yahoo. I wrote to Dear Margo and she sent me a personalised reply.
