Christianity Etc › Re: Do Prayers Actually Work? Be Realistic With Your Response And No Insult, Please! by Caseless: 10:54am On Dec 27, 2012
It is both. Mostly the illusion (or delusion) that prayer can solve anything. If werent expecting miracles we would focus on solving the problem ourselves.
i dont disagree totally, but if u believe in God, u must use prayers to amplify ur life. In my religion, it is said "use the night to rest and u use tha day to worship, and find food".....with this prayer can work here. If the opposite is the case, then i'm afraid all is not ok. U cant be idle and think prayer wil make u rich...u must work+prayer.
Maybe the prayers are the problem. If we werent praying and waiting for God to solve all our problems in the country we would have been forced to take action.

Maybe things wouldnt have gotten so bad. It easy to endure hardship when we believe God will solve all our problems. Just go to church more to allow Gods miracle to work in our lives.
the GODLESS, are u saying this? I dont disagree with the part u said 'people can endure hardship when we believe God can solve our problems'.

NB: prayer is not our problem, it is those that prays that are our problem.

payless: Any where I go I see Nigerian potray themselves as religious and to be prayer warriors. If prayers do work, how come we have so many problems in Nigeria and the problems still persist? Even Nigerian President always advice people to pray to solve their problems.

Can someone tell me instances where prayers solved any of our problems?
prayers does work perfectly well.

If u think nigerians are prayerful, still we are without problems, u dont use that to judge the potency of prayers.

What is ur relationship with God before asking him for something through prayers?

U expect nigeria's problems to be solved with prayers; when we have leaders who are looting but not leading?

When people kill in the name of religion(e.g boko haram, religious crisis)?

When we do jungle-justice( e.g, aalu 4) ?

When we commit adultery/furnication?

When we steal from our brothers/neighbours?

When we associate something with God?

When we don't believe 100% that he can hear our prayers?

And u expect GOD to answer our prayers when men feeds on fellow men and also when ritualists rules?

If we do all these, and the op still expect nigeria to be the most favoured by GOD in terms of prayer answering, then something is diping or tilted somewhere....

K2039, nice one.

Op, ur caption is misleading. We have similar story on the frontpage, so check it and learn how to put ur caption in public forums. Look at the generalisation in ur heading......
Cant u use 'why the evil of terror may linger ' as u see in the write-up?

I must tell u that gumi is not the voice of muslims and shall remain so. These are his observations and they cant represent that of others.

Brilliant!

Op, i like the way u played my head on this. What started with a caption on what a vet doctor taught u, to a story about dog and taking me to the bigger story of life....

No one cud have predicted where the story was headin, unlike nigerian movies that one can tell u how the movie is gonna end by just seeing the title of the movie, without actually having to watch it.

Education › Re: Universities To Avoid If You Are Immoral From Your Home by Caseless: 6:45am On Dec 27, 2012
Op, what is this? Some of u that do not travel out of ur state to visit other places can find it so easy to conclude on issues like this.
If u really want university that do not take sh1t, come to the north.

A.B.U

B.U.K,

forget these two.....them harsh die. Dont mind those private universities with their 'notice me' way of handling immorality. They shear firstclass and 2-1(upper) like waffers....so students can stil do whatevr they like and hoping to go home with the mentioned grades.

Come to universities where they dont tolerate nonesense, they use result to humble students and they can withraw students at the hint of immorality....afterall , nobody invited u to come or asked u to pay any huge fees...
