Politics › Re: EFCC Re-Arraign Ex-Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed For ₦‎5.78 Billion Fraud by Caseless: 8:40am On Oct 22, 2024
Misuse of Public Funds: Ahmed and Banu allegedly spent N1 billion from the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Matching Grant account to pay civil servants’ salaries, violating the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act.
Criminal Breach of Trust: The duo allegedly transferred N990.5 million from the SUBEB account to Polaris Bank for loan repayment, contrary to the Compulsory Free Universal Basic Education Act.
Failure to Declare Assets: Ahmed was accused of not filling out an assets declaration form provided by the EFCC upon arrest, violating the EFCC Act.
For God's sake, where's the fraud here as mentioned in the title? This is a case of financial misappropriation. Yahaya Bello was the one involved in fraud.

Hogwash!

. Attracted Foreign Investment: Subsidy removal made Nigeria's oil sector more attractive to investors, sparking new investments.
This is the point I don't always understand. So, if government subsidizes, does that mean they won't pay the shortfall or differentials on the commodities to the producers? It doesn't make sense.

The fuel attendant in Uyo (Rainoil) swear it was Dangote fuel and that the slightly yellow color was from the previous fuel in the tank.

So most of them will not change overnight but you will notice that the color is much lighter than before
That's true!
Politics › Re: Has Anyone Sighted The Colorless Dangote Petrol by Caseless: 6:52am On Oct 22, 2024
BlueRayDick:
This same thought crossed my mind last week and I didn't know what to make of it.

I was wondering whether Dangote has successfully run a badass PR stunt on the common Nigerians (talking about how his PMS is colorless and the best for engines) or maybe the Dangote PMS has not yet circulated as claimed by NNPC.

Yesterday I bought fuel at NNPC for my generator . When I got home, I poured the petrol inside the generator, and it was still same color of petrol we've always had.
He's fighting with the system to allow him to sell directly and monitor his products, but they won't "accede" to that request. The same people importing bad fuel are the ones off-taking from him. To prove to Nigerians that his own is not so different, don't you think, they'd mix it with their own dirty one in their reserve or add color to it to prove a point?

They know what they are doing.

Borrow222:
I don't know if Dangote is for or against Nigerians.

You want a monopoly on almost everything, yet none of your products are within reach of the common man. Your cement is now terribly expensive, despite all the natural resources obtained within Nigeria.

The refinery, which we thought would solve all problems in the oil sector, is now causing unnecessary headaches and drama for Nigerians.
This is why I insist that "school na scam" is a big deception.

Tell me one more thing used in making cement, key thing, apart from limestone, that's gotten in Nigeria.

Then tell me why other cement manufacturers are not selling below Dangote's ex-depot price.

If you also know how to read, you'd see that the 0.5% levy imposed on off-takers and the producer, Will definitely affect the price per liter an end consumer like you would receive the products. So, he's fighting for you here.

He's fighting for a component of the PIA to be enforced for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians. This is for you, too.

Oluwadolar was lying.
Don jazzy want him to name name because he knows many people would think it's actually him that guy was referring to. (He was the first person I thought when I saw dolarz post)
That doesn't change the fact that Oluwadolarz was lying about what he said. No serious minded music promoter will even agree to promote his low quality production songs. He was suppose to arrest the person that produce, mix and master his EP. The whole songs sounded like it was mix and mastered by one cheap studio engineer.
He's lying and also trying to promote his whack song!

He should go and learn from Nasboi - he's the best promoter of his work. No need for this nonsense fabrication.

We just started dating barely a week ago and stil understanding eachother. But. She is asking for monthly allowance. Tho” it doesn’t sit well with me, but I don’t want to lose her cos I love her already. How do I handle this please? Cos I’m scared another guy can promise her monthly allowance and she might mistakenly cheat or break up with me.
A girl must have known the man she's dating is a stupid man for her to look you in the eye and ask for monthly allowance.

You must be that ugly and low in confidence for a girl to see herself as helping you by dating you - to ask for monthly allowance.

Sadly, few men exist these days.

This is media stunt to bring back subsidy. They are blackmailing Dangote refinery to solidify their claims for re-introduction of petrol subsidy.

Dangote never said he can meet Nigeria 100% petrol need this year. The refinery is operating at about 50% capacity and we all know that.
I can imagine what Dangote is going through now. Nigeria is a terrible place for investors.

One of the biggest debates foreign media houses have always had about Nigeria is: Is crude oil a blessing or a curse to Nigeria?

Although some people may argue that it is a curse, one thing I know for certain is that Nigeria would've been as poor as Niger Rep if she hadn't discovered crude oil in a commercial quantity.
How was Nigeria doing before it discovered oil? Those we started with who have no oil are better than us. Why?

Opebiman:
You are not smarter than a whole Dangote group that put 19bn$ into that project..
..

Inshort you are shortsighted to think his refinery is only to power combustion engines for vehicles.. please you y'all should think deep ..

Tell me exactly which battery want to power a 300 seater jumbo jet.
You see those heavy machines used in heavy duty applications..is it battery that will power it?..

Your trucks and heavy duty vehicles..where do you see electric vehicle outselling the diesel counterparts?

What exactly wants to replace petrochemical in the next 50 years ..

Like I said ..you are not smarter than the group
Ships, tractors, quarry, boats, helicopters, fighter jets, PJs, in fact, the machines mining lithium they use in making batteries, the trucks moving them, the entire production chain of electric vehicles, the steel and metal parts, plastic, etc, won't only make Dangote refinery valuable, but a wise investment.

Automanual is still "manual" in his thinking.
Business › Re: Dangote’s Wealth Doubles To $28 Billion On ‘monster’ Nigeria Oil Project by Caseless: 7:10am On Oct 19, 2024
AutoManual:
I still think it's too late for mega refinary project.

Combustion engine is on the last stage of it peak. No world billionaires will build a mega refinary at this time as they consider future and long time projects.

In the next 20-30 years combustion engine will likely phase out in developed world. In places like China recharge cars, scooter, truck and bike has already taking over.

In Nigeria for example we don't buy new cars, instead we buy used cars from develop world. What this means is whatever they use is what we buy

If they complete stop combustion engine and move to electric it only means on the next 5 to 10 years those cars will end up here. So there is no future in oil.

Dangote should think about making engine oil and other products in other to recoup money wasted on that refinary on time.

Those quoting me. Not saying combustion engine will not be in use in the next 200 years. Only saying it usage will reduce drastically and low market.
You have deceived yourself!

1. Exactly how does federalism serve as an argument against the existence of the EFCC(a part of the overall Law Enforcement outfit in Nigeria) though? Na that we wan know. Make you explain yourself rather than throw meaningless claims all over the place. undecided

2. Here's a silly question! Just bear with me for a bit here. If State Governors can sue the FG in the courts, why is the FG not able to investigate, and possibly take the State Governors to the same courts, even if on corruption charges? undecided
These are people paid to write in favor of the governors.

No matter what, we all know that federalism in the sense they preach it cannot work for us. Certain power should not be given to the states as they're fond of abusing it.

They have their judiciary, houses of assembly, SIEC, what have they done with them? Now they want state police and power to have their own anti-graft agency control.

Nigeria is a stupid country. We see what the governors are doing, but we want them to have absolute power.
Politics › Re: “Nobody Is Working For This Great Country” Joe Igbokwe Laments by Caseless: 6:44am On Oct 19, 2024
If that's the case when we produce a lot and they come to buy, we can understand. But our currency is always devalued so that we can take loans and loot. This country can't survive this kind of leadership and economic ideas.

We don't produce enough to export, but we kill our currency because world Bank and IMF say so. Look at how mad they're when China devalues its currency, but they want a country like Nigeria that import everything to devalue. It beats logic.
