daks02: I was just about to post this. For people bringing their parents over, please get travel insurance, I got for my mum from Axamansard for just N30,000. It’ll save you a lot in case it’s needed. Did she make any claim during the time the policy was in place? I want to know if the claim process is a seamless one. |

Please who has used the IRCC portal recently to apply for a visitor's visa? I started a visitor's visa application on the website but can't seem to continue the application. Once I click on "continue application" the page keeps searching, cursor keeps rolling and then I get message saying that an unknown error occurred. Been at it for a while. Tried continuing the application on incognito mode, used a different computer and even created a new profile to no avail.
Pls any information to help resolve this issue would go a long way. Thanks |

Note that if I pick Other, the checklist of documents doesn't include Proof of relationship. Pls what link did u use in applying for your mum's Visa
Thank you very much |

sirabbey: Yes. But the son will have to fill a form and get it notarized by a Lawyer or Public Notary in Canada. This form will then be sent by the parent to IRCC to obtain an Authorization Letter(AL) to travel otherwise, airlines will not board the parent without the AL I thought parents do not need the AL to board as long as they can provide a copy their child's PR card and evidence of relationship. |

I dont have an answer to your first question.
For the 2nd question, just type vfs consent form nigeria on a search engine to get the form.
3rdly, you only have to pay 1 way courier to the vfs office. Once they get your passport back from IRCC, they would send you an email on how to get your passport back |

pamelaa: Seriously I think you should send a mail. I've seen people on other forums with similar timeline as my mum's. They're prioritizing applications of immediate family members of Citizens/PRs. please how about people that applied during the early days of the lockdown say around early april when we thought that Covid wasnt going to last long.Do u think we can also send them an email. |

damilola1978: just to confirm, were they single during application or married?, because it would raise alarm if they were married and the eligible applicant claimed single initially and now wants to add his or her spouse with no recent record of marriage They were married at the time of the application even with children and had applied as spouse unaccompanied, Their spouses had done all the medicals, criminality checks by way of police reports/clearance and they also showed POF for their exact number of family members(Spouses included). |

dumije01: The phone number of the school's principal was added to the reference letter that I submitted. Apparently they have no issues with the proof of employment that I submitted. The issue is not about verification of employment but verification of the employer. if you were paid by bank.u should attach the bank statement highlighting salaries n write a detailed LOE stating that the school is in a very remote area |

19CannyMum: Download their phone app. Prices there are the cheapest. Then make payment through bank transfer to their account. Your reservation code should be the transfer reference.
If you don't get confirmation then send them an email with proof of payment or call their customer service.
Their account numbers and phone numbers are listed in the contact us portion of their website. thank you |
