Section 41 of the Nigerian Constitution states what the procedure is. You don't need permission from anybody. In fact, the term "Chief security officer" of the state is not in our constitution. It is borrowed from the American constitution where the governor is the Chief security officer and their police is State police, that's not the case in Edo, and that's why Herdsmen kill daily in Agenebode and Edo north and Monday Okpebholo cannot do anything cos he does not have Influence over the security architecture in his state except the vigilante.
Lastly a governor's statements are not decrees that should be obeyed. His job is to provide security to forestall a reoccurrence of what they said led to the so called stampede. I say so-called because the commissioner on Channels could not state where there was stampede that led to death.

I am tired of these stories of people like you trying to force change in institutions like the church thereby assuming an activists role of some sort. If your church has had that doctrine since and you suddenly do not like it, then LEAVE. There are many churches that do wear ear rings, so you are free to move instead of trying to prove nothing and only bringing the church (body of Christ) to disrepute. There are universities where they wear uniforms to attend classes and the likes and they have students and those students even pay more than those who have their liberties. Every institution has its rule. I don't know why when it comes to church matter, we suddenly grab popcorn and become OAP for the matter

Even though I had to follow certain doctrines when I was younger, I have come to question some of them as they cannot be proven through the Bible. I am particularly curious about where the Bible specifically forbids wearing earrings. My parents are devout Christians, and they did not even pierce my ears, let alone allow me to wear earrings. However, one day I felt like wearing an earring, so I put on a magnetic earring and went out. Later in that day, I attended a Church program a friend invited me but when I got to the Church, I was asked to remove my earring or leave.

I am not trying to shade Christianity, not all Churches treat visitors that way, I was even surprised at the way I was treated that day. I am just specifically curious about where God condemned earring in the Bible? I accept that all Churches have their own doctrines but some of these Churches still use there doctrines to rate Christians from other Churches. Is wearing earring a sin or just some Church doctrines? I can't find any verse in the Bible that condemns earring. If you know any please indicate.
