Archbishop Benson Idahosa was one of the most widely respected men of God in the country. He pioneered the flamboyant, screaming style of prosperity preaching that's practiced effectively by Bishop David Oyedepo and many other faith preachers today.

Decades ago, Benspeak at his church, the Orlando Christian Center in the US. During the message, Archbishop Idahosa described how he raised the dead as a young evangelist after his pastor said, "I've never done it, but you can do it". He claimed to have raised 8 people from the dead including two accounts that he described eloquently and convincingly during the sermon. Jump to the 14m mark:

The point her friend made is that she can rise from this to be a better person, which i totally agree with. What should be condemned is the act and not the person. Christ did the same when he let the adulterous woman go free after cautioning her to sin no more.

mikemikoo2:
Hello all. I had to create a new account for this just so I wont get laughed at. Ive been battling with body odour for about 2 years now. It has defied all physical measures such as hygiene and deodorants. Ive tried damn near all deodorants I can find in the store. Ive also tried things like lime, lemon, vinegar, baking soda and the likes. I dont even perspire much but when I put on any anti perspirant, I get smelly in no time without sweating. I think the culprit is my underarm but I shave all the time and wash up properly. I went to the hospital and took blood tests and everything came out normal‎.

I have decided to try traditional means such as iya alagbon and the likes as I hear some of them are very good. Please help recommend any solution apart from hygiene and shaving. Please I beg, this thing has put my life on a stand still as I cant mingle and move about freely without people rubbing their noses and making faces at me. It has made me suicidal. Who wouldve thought id end up with such issues?

Also please if u know any good traditional specialist in things like this, kindly let me know. Im in lagos.

Lalasticlala kindly move this to the front page so I can get varied suggestions please or else I just might end up as the next rip on social media. These days I am sad all the time and find it very hard to go out. Thanks for ur help‎

I will recommend you shave off all armpit hair and use any of the following deodorants: Sure spray, nivea roll-on, dove, rexona roll ons. Also buy a gud fragrance too and make sure you dont use your underwears more than once; single or t shirt or boxers and even socks before washing it. Even if they look neat dont re wear them again.

But the guy shouldn't have put his picture! A lady that hasn't given you audience?

Guy, there is no angle to it. Customer privacy cannot be over emphasized here. What if it was an atm pin or your online pin and he makes use of it? Henshould be sacked and handed over to the police immediately. If hes a freak, he could as well tail her , rape her and kill her and move on to another victim..just cos he has access to her info.

Family / Re: I Discovered My Wife Lied About Her Age After 3 Years Of Our Marriage. Help! by CashVessel(m): 6:38am On Oct 04, 2016
nickxtra:
My marriage to my wife is facing a serious challenge, after I discovered from my wife's WAEC certificate, that the date of her birth on the result is 6 years more than what she told me and what has been in all her non academic documents, including her C.V. Actually, i have seen all her academic certificates, including her NYSC discharge certificate, but never saw her S.S.C.E and FSLC results that normally bear dates of birth. Each time i ask her for them in order to compile all the credentials for job application purposes, she would tell me that her WAEC, NECO and primary school results are in a box, with her mum in thier home town; that she would ask her mum to bring them. I gnomo her mum lager came with them for her.

Eventually, a serious sure job came for which i would need these credentials to forward to the organization. She gave me the WAEC result with the excuse that age forgot the NECO and FSLC in her current office, which she promised to bring. Lol and behold! What i saw on the WAEC result is a date of birth 6 years higher than what she told me and what is in her C.Vs.

I called her attention and she started giving me excuses that hold no water. She is saying that the same DOB were erroneously registerd for her when, perhaps they were registering her for both WAEC and NECO. That when the results came out and she noticed the errors, she complained and applied to correct same, but since then, the exam authorities have not corrected them. I have not come to terms with the this discovery. I think this may cause us peace, thrust and love in pur marriage.

My brothers and sisters, i think am contemplating of what action to take against her and am contemplating a divorce, but our two children are still very small for this. I want to report this issue to her family and mine. Am gradually withdrawing my trust for her.

I need matured advice and suggestions that will see me through this.

My brother you just need to confirm what her real age is. My wife's age on her drivers licence and passports were stepped down, but before marriage she told me and we agreed she will correct them which she has done. Why it is important to know the real age is because any marriage built on lies will not stand. Even the church dissolves such marriages If they wedded you guys and you are no longer interested. If she lied to you then, who knows what else she may be hiding from you; maybe ure not the father of those children, or shes got other kids out there?
However, there is room for forgiveness if she can come out clean. It is still your desicion to make. May God help you

Religion / Re: Is It The Will Of God For Believers To Fall Sick? by CashVessel(m): 12:39am On Oct 03, 2016
Jesuobu:
Well, I asked this question but I will give a response which I think the answer is and maybe you can give a different response which you think the answer is.

Sickness is a state where good health is missing and can also be described as something that is corrupting a good and healthy state of being. When Adam sinned, he condemned all of humanity to suffer the consequences of that sin, one of which is sickness. The sickness of someone can be the will of God but not in all cases because some people sick because of their own negligence and nonchalant attitude towards their own health and well being.

But again some ailment in some believers can be the will of God to bring about His sovereign purpose to glorify Himself and to exalt His holy name. God can devise so many approach to draw you close to Him and one of which is sickness and after your tussle with the ailment and your mind is finally made up to follow Christ, He will take away the ailment eventually and you will live your life like a new born baby.

God can also use sickness as a method of discipline or as a judgement against sin, though sickness is certainly the result of the fall of man into sin but God is very much in control and will never allow Satan to go beyond his boundaries in the life of a sick believer and the case of Job is an example of this.

So my dear nairalanders, do you think otherwise? If yes, please give your reasons. Thanks and God bless.

Your second to the last paragraph said alot, but we must understand that evil does not proceed from God. It is from the devil.. In Job's case God allowed it and does allow it in some other cases for his good and yours. He does not inflict you with sickness or anything bad because evil cannot proceed from him. The devil knows when you have fallen from faith or when the hedgw is broken and may inflict you with sickness.
Now sickness and disability are different. Disability may occur at the foetus level either by genetic abnormality which is still the result of sin or by accident or other things caused by mans activity.
In conclusion it is Gods will that we be in perfect health, and even when we fall sick, He has made provision for healing, both for sickness and disability.
However we must note that God doesnt force his will on us and has never done that, cos if he did, Adam would never have sinned.

[quote author=Davidblen post=49651708] The Bible Says In Ephesians 1:7 That
" In Whom We Have Redemption Through His Blood, The Forgiveness Of Sins, According To Riches Of His Grace"
But Today Many Churches Have Adopted The Style Of Baptism For Salvation. It Is Either By Baptism By Water Or Baptism By Mansion (purification) But Christ Died For Our Sins On The Cross Of Calvary For Our Santification. To Me The Baptism Is Not Neccesary
Anybody Should Comment His/her Opinion[/quot

This isn't a matter of opinion, Jesus commanded we do it in Mark 16:16. It is done after repentance from sin and not before. Jesus was baptised Himself and when asked by John the Baptist why it was necessary, He said "to fulfill all righteousness" So my dear just fulfill all righteousness, so that when you get to heaven it won't be a case of you refused to baptise that will invalidate your ticket.

So I went through his write up,and to be fair to him. Some of the issues and points he raised are valid ones, but there are ways he could have sent his ideas and working policies to the Presidency, but what did he do?he went to the Public to post,so as to make a mockery of this Government.

The way human nature is,is that everybody becomes a Medical Doctor when somebody becomes sick, with funny Prescriptions . So Nigeria is going through a temporary economic challenge, and everybody, including Dele Momodu has now turned into an Economist.

What did he study again?Yoruba. A man with a first degree in Yoruba Language, all of a sudden wants to be an Economic Adviser.

A man with a Masters Degree in English Language, all of a sudden is knowing more than Buhari's sound Economic teams, who are busy trying to pull us out from the pit hole the PDP dug and threw us in.

Dele Momodu should stick to his Glossy Magazine business, and leave the Serious matter of Governance to those in the know about Governance.

Part 4. thanks to al that read this far, u will never be a victim of such.

They asked for my own part of what happened, i told them and they called him on d phone to say his own part. He kept talking and talking, he left d issue at hand and started saying many other things that happened in camp and in d past btw us. These were all issues i had knelt down and apologized for. He talked for like an hour over d phone, it got to d point that my dad told him to stop talking so that we could look for solution. I hav never seen a guy that talks that much. He also forwarded ALL d angry sms i had sent to him in d past each to my mom, dad and his sis phones! These were mssgs i had apologized for in d past, mssgs totally unrelated to d topic at hand. Unfortunately for me, i usually delete his angry sms from my phone immediately i read it but i never knew he saves all mine! I learnt d hard way that he is someone who likes using enough evidence to win any case. When everyone read the mssgs, everyone turned to me and scolded me. I was d one at fault. Even from my parents. I kept crying that day. They were like no matter what a man says, a woman should never reply. Thats how igbo men are revered as semi-gods in my place. Then my dad called him and asked him what he wants me to do that will make him forgiv me. He said i hav to beg him. I swallowed my pains and begged him to forgive me over d phone. Then my dad asked me  what he should do too that will make me forgive him and i said he should beg too. Then my dad told him to beg me over d phone and he said he CANT beg me! He disobeyed my dad and my dad was shocked. Then my dad told him that if i am important to him, he should come to ogun state to see me. Guess what he said too, he said he wont come to ogun state and that i will be d one to come to lagos to see him! I felt terrible but my parents had no option than to tell me to go back to him in lagos cos they had no money to give me to go back to abuja. With all d shame in me, i went back to lagos, had to beg him and did everything he wanted(constant sex even with my condition) cos he was d only source of finance to me. After all that he finally came to do d introduction and few days after d introduction, i left for abuja.
Things seems normal when i got back to abuja until abt two weeks later when he started telling me to come back to lag cos he was feeling Hot. I begged him to understand my condition and that i was still recovering from d stress of d journey bk to abuja. He was angry and accused me of having another guy in abuja who was 'servicing' me. I ignored the comment cos i didnt want another fight and kept begging him until he seemed to hav agreed. A week later he told me he has called someone to send him d list of bride price payment and that i will have to come home around ending of july for bride price payment. I was happy and then told him it would also be advisable if we could do a registery marriage when i come home for d bride-price payment so that i could submit d certificate to nysc so that nysc will post me to lagos so that i can be with him permanently and also give birth there too. He agreed and called my mom to help him find out d requirements for d registery marriage. My mom did and sent him d requirements. Two days laters, he called me early in d morning to tell me he would no longer do d registry marriage. I asked him y buy he didnt hav a gud reason. It was later i learnt that he called his sis to tell him i wanted a registry marriage and his sis told him never to try it that he is dealing with an educated girl and that my plan is to take over all his property and everything he has worked for. My ex is a man who cant take decisions on his own, he would either call his sister or a friend to confirm before deciding and he always takes a third party advice. The only decision he takes alone is on his business. I felt bad abt his change of mind and i told him i wont come home if he doesnt want to do d registry marriage too since i cant keep passing through d stress of travelling. He got angry and didnt call me for days, i refused to call him too. I didnt know he took it too far cos he stopped sending me money for i and d baby's upkeep.  Abt few weeks after, i got a shocking text frm him. The text read(in his own words): "I thought u mean to be my own, i never knew dat u are not. If u say d child u are carrying is my, i will come and take it later. 'For marriage, i can never marry u". Those were d exact words he used. D mssg is still saved in my security inbox up till now. I called my mom and told her abt d mssg and all she could say was that i should call him and beg him. I made up my mind that i wont keep begging cos if i keep begging him, i will have to keep begging for d rest of my life with him. As days went by i kept waiting for him to call and apologize for such text and i was already 3months gone. Few days after my scan, he called my dad and my people in d village to tell them he is no longer interested in d marriage and that he isnt responsible for d pregnancy! My whole life shattered that period. Then i made up my mind to go for an abortion cos i know being a single mom in my place is like an abomination cos no one marries them expect a divorcee or old men and my future will never remain d way i planned it. I went for d abortion last week thursday and i am still recovering from d body pains.  It was a tough decision but i had to do it and everyday i keep begging God for forgiveness cos it wasnt intentional. For those that will blame me for d abortion, how many of u will agree to marry a single mom? Up till now he hasnt called. Thanks nairalanders. for nlers like sorextee, u didnt comprehend anything and FYI, i am used to some nairaland guys negativity and bad words towards most nairaland girls, thanks.

My dear, so sorry about your experience, but I hope you have learned a lot from it? First and foremost, your man wasn't educated and you were, secondly, you didn't meet him; Twas an arrangement that suited your parents and his sister and you unfortunately liased with them to calm their worried nerves, just to please them. The next reason which some people may not agree with me is you made a mistake of sleeping with him and getting pregnant for him. When you engage in premarital sex and you are not together for a while, you tend to generate insecurities that shouldn't have been there in the first place, cos the guy would be thinking that you will be slamming some other guy the way you slammed his brains out the last time you met. Abstinence is no doubt the best, and God will reward it. Thanks for coming out to tell girls (all girls, not just Igbo girls) cos it's across all ethnicities.
